Thanks, I need to go in B&M tomorrow so will have a look out for it.

Hows everyone doing with the low carbing? I've been a bit naughty lately due to visiting Whitby last weekend and sampling fish & chips along with a glass of mulled plum cider at The Magpie (could not finish the cider - way too sweet). :D Other than that, no more treats until Dec 23rd as I've set that week aside for eating whatever I like.

Not doing well at all, everywhere I go it`s "have a mince pie" then I feel "why bother", so aiming for a new start in New Year.

My weight loss has slowed down but that’s only to be expected.

I am going to try and be strict with the low carb regime until Christmas then maybe a few small treats. I bought OH his usual choccie advent calendar with the strict understanding that I don’t get any of it.:rotfl:

Not too bothered as I am happy to have cheese instead.

I am now 7 lbs away from being “overweight” instead of “obese class 1” which is a huge milestone for me. My GP was over the moon when I saw him recently and we talked about reducing my diabetes meds. :D

    All good stuff

I know Christmas is 18 days away, and as I live alone if I don`t buy it I can`t eat it, but there are so many goodies in the shops.

I will try to do a little better leading up to Christmas, my birthday, Boxing Day, and New Year, as any lbs not gained now is less to lose then.

  • I am doing fairly well. My scales need a new battery, so I have no idea what I have lost, however I have gone down a size in clothing:j
I think what is keeping me going is knowing I can have 3 indulgent days from the 23rd. Can't wait!
Also I am happy with a nibble of cheese to keep me going.
I jokingly said that unless I lost some weight I would probably be wearing a bin bag with heels at Christmas as that is all that would fit! So I have avoided that fate.

It’s amazing what a few words can do.

I met someone yesterday who hadn’t see me 6 months. Her first words were:

“Wow, you’ve lost a lot of weight, you look fabulous!”

I was on a high for the rest of the day :T

How has everyone else fared over the silly season.
I weighed myself this morning, first time for weeks, took all measurements, thighs, hips, waist, midriff, bust and arm.
I am my heaviest for several years, 13st 6lb really annoyed with myself I have wardrobes stuffed with clothes, some never worn but all too tight. I will not buy any new.
Today I am having cottage pie with a swede mash.

  • Hi Pam
I can sympathise. After doing so well in the run up to Christmas I didn't so much fall off the wagon as throw myself under the wheels! To be fair we had some serious health issues within the family so I was a little stressed but really no excuse. Lack of menu planning and food prep the cause.
So.....off we go again. I am also at my heaviest and refuse to buy anymore clothes.
    Good luck
