Well, I took a few days off at Christmas indulging in lots of festive treats and gained a few pounds as a result. Did not feel very well either (like I was in some sort of sugar coma) but now strictly back on track with Keto - I get paranoid putting weight back on.
Anyway, its whats eaten between New Year and Christmas rather than between Christmas and New Year so should not feel too bad. Ive lots of reduced sticker veggies at the moment so they're going to be turned into a soup along with some left over Boursin cheese - dinners for next week sorted.0 -
Glad you are back on track Bathory, I have been doing well since New Year, had a day off yesterday as I had some spuds left, enjoyed roast lamb with the last of the cavello nero and 2 roast potatoes, back on it today, probably put the last of the lamb in my i.p. add some veg and see what comes.Do I need it or just want it.0

I've been on Keto for 2 years, apart from an occasional small break from it like at Christmas, it is a permanent way of how I eat. However; hardly anyone I meet has heard of it or thinks that following any low carb type of diet is a fad or is bad for you.
I weigh myself once a fortnight so this Sunday will tell if I've lost the few pounds gained over the festive break.1 -

I low carb and have been low carbing since about 2013 IIRC. I'm probably more keto as I try to stick to 10g or less of carbs per day. My husband is a carb lover, but not so much since he had to go gluten free.
Dr Aseem Malhotra has been in the news lately as he advised both former Deputy Leader of Labour party, Tom Watson and Matt Hancock MP to lose weight via low carb.
I think the most important thing, is to eat real food not processed stuff.

I try to eat 50g or less of carbs per day, keep trying to keep to it, I know it works for me, but not quite getting there, I don`t buy processed foods, I eat fresh, above ground veggies, plenty of meat, I am not a fish lover, and not too much dairy either.Do I need it or just want it.1
