Well done Slinky, wish I could do as well instead of these half hearted attempts.

Pam looking back at your previous postings are you sure you're eating enough? You seem to be concentrating quite a bit on low calorie count as well as low carb, your body may be going into starvation mode.

I don't count calories or carbs. I upped the fat and cut out pasta, rice, spuds, cereals and bread. Cauli rice became my friend as the accompaniment to almost everything where carbs had bulked meals out.

It may be worth reading Escape the Diet Trap by Dr John Briffa which helped us enormously. Took a few weeks for the weight to start dropping, but once it did, even if I did have a few days of the wrong sort of food, getting back on track saw it fall off again. 3 years on I've never gone back near my previous top weight and neither has my husband. Plus it doesn't feel like a diet when you eat lots of steak, eggs, cream, butter etc.

I do keep an eye on calories too, I eat butter, eggs, cheese and lots of meat, I don`t eat cream much, never have pasta, rice or cereals, I do have the occasional slice of bread, but prefer seeded bread, I tend to eat later as once I eat I don`t stop, so fast until mid afternoon.
I am not sticking to it correctly but hopefully when the weather improves so will my mindset.

discovered cauliflower rice today, really like it. Now just have to find a way to make it cheap and not time consuming

Quick wiz in food processor then I like to stir fry mine.

    Hiya

Years ago I did the Atkins diet and my books are long gone. I!!!8217;m looking for a recipe that was something like puffed cheese sauce and you!!!8217;d top veggies with it.

I can!!!8217;t find it anywhere and wonder if anyone knows it. The ingredients were cheddar, egg whites, mayonnaise and something else which I just can!!!8217;t remember, or the quantities.

You grated the cheese. Stiffly whisked the egg whites and folded in the rest of the ingredients. Put it over the top of whatever veg and pop under the grill till browned and crispy. It was unctuous.

Does anyone know the full recipe please along with quantities and carb count.

    Thanks in desperation.

Looks like a sort of cloud thing, looked through my Atkins books and can`t see anything, did find a nice red cabbage recipe, here are several Atkins groups on Facebook, I would be inclined to join ask for recipe then leave.
Taking the opportunity to bring forward the original thread recipe list, you may find it in there.
