Yesterday I had some beef left from Sunday, sauteed some radishes with a large piece of broccoli left from Sunday in butter, put the beef in for a minute to warm slightly, if you haven`t tried cooked radishes do, I am not a lover of them raw, but very palatable cooked, with an egg custard and my 4 squares of choc, 1024 cals 24 carbs.
Today 2 large lamb chops with sauteed kale and 2 slices of celeriac. egg custard and choc later, 1662 cals 23 carbs, the chops weighed 323g, I am greedy with meat.
Do I need it or just want it.

Thursday, Grilled portabella mushroom with stilton , 2 to go, grilled broccoli, boiled bacon donated by neighbour who had cooked a huge joint for visiting family, who have postponed until next week due to ill health, and carrot and potato mash from my freezer, think mostly carrots but can`t recall, so my guesstimate today is 1085 cals, 33 carbs, which includes my egg custard and choc.
Spending the afternoon going through my recipe file, basket really, looking for new ideas, before shopping.

Searching for an item in my cupboard Monday and found some "Grey Peas" they are a brown dried pea, I believe more commonly known as pigeon peas, they are a Black Country staple, soak overnight with a bit of bi-carb, rinse place in slow cooker, add some cooking bacon, I had about 200g and cook until soft, excellent, unfortunately very high carb, so my nostalgia food cost me dearly, but I enjoyed.
    Start again today.
They may not have been as carby as I thought.

Well that was a pleasant surprise this morning. Stood on the scales, having not weighed myself since before Christmas and I came in at 9 stone 1. I was hovering between 9-4 and 9-7 before Christmas, having been up to 10-7 3 years ago.

Have not been particularly good in January, finished up the rest of the Christmas treats apart from some cheese, which we've been having for lunch at the weekends, with biscuits. Have also been out twice eating pizzas and desserts. Last week I scoffed a whole large Cadbury's caramel bar at one sitting, admittedly on a day when I'd been working hard and walked about 9miles.

Really thought I'd be paying for it on the scales and that my jeans have stretched, but apparently not.
