This is very informative site, great recipe ideas and good explanations, once you get your head around it you will soon be able to tailor to suit your lifestyle.

Thanks for the information and the encouragement. I need to lose 2 stone if I want to be a healthy weight (I know my back and knees will thank me). :D

Hmph, weighed this morning, not lost anything :(

Have not cheated one tiny bit.

Have racked my brains and the only thing could be, too many nuts. I may be having too many in one snack portion. So I'll cut them out completely for a week and see where that leads! Disappointed because I have been good, or so I thought! Ah well, see what happens in a few days' time, fingers crossed.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Car back yesterday, going swimming this morning , yoga tomorrow, feelimg quite optomistic today, jumprd on the scales 10st 9lb, so my self pitying splurge gained me 6lb, but you know, I am happy with that, weather cooler and fresher today, perhaps that`s why I feel better, I can`t take that draining humid weather.

Pamsdish, 10st9lb sounds great to me!

I know I said I wouldn't mention food per se, but I found a lovely soup recipe on Atkins website - roasted red pepper soup. Made it on Tues, had a yummy portion, gave some away to friend who needed a bit of tlc. Only 5.6 carbs per portion.

i was concerned that when the weather cools off I will struggle to enjoy salad so wanted some soup recipes for those days you want something warm and comforting. I have always made decent soup but need to take more interest in the carbs situ.

Plenty of exercise today - must have run up upstairs at least 20 times this morning as part of my job!

Not so good news - put on over 2lb during our week away. Did have 3 tiny cheats and ate hedgerow blackberries as we were doing coastal path! Still shocked at the gain.
Good news - lost all holiday weight AND another 1 1/4 lb in the 10 days since we came back! Phew.

Have been making soups without any thickening starch. Really enjoyed roasted butternut squash soup and a fridge bottom soup which had a store cupboard packet as a base!

I also made the courgette-instead-of-pasta lasagne. I included very lean mince and finely chopped leftover veggies to bulk it out. Again, no thickening, just reduced the HM sauce by boiling for a short time. I thought it was delish and DH joined in and then asked for more. In fact, like a good curry, it was even nicer the next day!

How's everyone else doing? I hit my 2 stone mid-way target, although I was 4 weeks behind schedule. I really want the other 2 stone gone by mid-Jan :D. Am working on it!

I am not too bad, couldn`t get into the right mindset, starting yesterday have done a little better, I have stopped counting, it was getting to be such a drag, still eating lowish carbs, just enjoying it more, I made a bowl of cauli mash yesterday, whizzed it up with the stick blender, added a dollop of cream cheese, delicious, had it yesterday with some liver and sauteed cabbage and onion, today made a cottage pie and used it as topping, finish it off tomorrow.
Scales going down from my gains so pleases with that.

    Good news Pamsdish!

I have made cauli pizza bases again (think improvement on first try, but have frozen for when DH wants real-world version, so we can eat together).

I do feel very upbeat atm, assuming weight loss is continuing :D

From the lack of posts I assume everyone like me is struggling, I am running a neighbours son to work, Amazon, most nights, I then have got into the habit of going into Morrisons, that time of night get there about 6-30 pm they are reducing must go tonight items, e.g. 2 rhubarb and apple lattice pies 20p, would be rude not to have them, picked up a few other decent bargains, sadly not many low carb friendly, and it`s so comforting to have a hot pudd,
Thankfully not much fluctuation in weight, this will probably change though if I keep this up.
