Thank you Ladies! I made sure I had breakfast and grabbed some fridge raiders chicken to snack on. Dinner was a bit naughty - I was ravenous so ended up in Five Guys and got a burger with mushrooms and chilli sauce without the bun so worked out to 1 or 2 grams of carbs so not too bad...made the best of a bad situation!
Those suggestions are great though - thank you
Am living off the sugar free jelly at the moment - it curbs any craving for something sweet and the fact I absolutely love jelly anyway is a huge plus!0 -
Today's tasty lunch was leftover haddock heated up in a little cream in a pan with low carb cauliflower cheese (just cream n cheese poured over and cooked in oven yesterday) and green beans, sprinkled with grated cheese. It was delishI have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0

Good morning.
Sorry I have been AWOL but I'm back - although I go away next week for a few days. But after that I will be back properly and will knuckle down. Promise. :rotfl:
I have not been too good this week, the whiplash from the accident really hit and I have felt terrible. Cooking was a huge effort so I took a few short cuts and ate grains a couple too many times and ended up with an IBS flare up.
Hey ho I feel much better now. It's really nice here Today I shall have a nice brunch and then tonight I will do us some really good burgers. DS2 will tuck into the bread rolls and chips, I will stick with a selection of salads.
Yesterday I took delivery of a meat hamper from Muscle Foods (courtesy of a groupon voucher) so we have a nice selection of very reasonably priced good quality meat which should last a few weeks.
I did make a frittata last week, and found it was great to have cold for lunches or as a supper snack. I thought it was a bit bland so will spice it up next time.
Going to read through the thread again later and get some recipe ideas from you. Thank you so much for sharing all your ideas. It's really helping me.0 -
L.L. sorry you still suffering, a few days away will do you good, I am still plodding on, eating sensibly all day then binging out after 6 p.m.
I am trying to use up all my freezer stocks, so will be having a nice piece of brisket tomorrow, just going to pop it in the slow cooker. I have done no shopping this week so all veg from freezer or garden, I am going to sit and plan a menu for the week, I have loads of recipes for low carb desserts, and all the ingredients in store cupboard, the only thing I don`t have is cream so will try subbing greek yoghurt, I will be making some go to quick puds, not too many as may be tempted by more than one.hoping to make some inroads into freezers and my waistline.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
Sugar free jelly n cream for supper! Yum. Have been good all day. Have been away for the week so am curious to see what the scales say on Monday morning....fingers crossed!

It`s gone very quiet on here, hope everyone okay, and you vastly improved L.L.
I have had a reasonable month can`t remember my last posted weight, 10st 4lb this morning, which means I am maintaining my between 10st and 10st 7lb well.
I tried cooked radishes for the first time Thursday, cut in half , sauteed in butter S&P while pork chop grilling and cavello nero boiling, I have only eaten radishes on salad before, and mostly declined them, they were delicious, no sharp heat to them at all, and I like my curries hot, but never enjoyed the peppery hotness of radish.
I joined a yoga class, I am only going once a week to the "day" class, I will try and increase, but the other 2 classes she does are evening and not keen on going out in dark nights, as my highly strung greyhound is terrified of fireworks, and as the nights draw in she is expecting them already.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
Sorry, not posted for a while. Lost 3..75 pounds in first 3 weeks of August. Slow but steady. Was hoping to have achieved total loss of 2 stone by the end of the month but still have nearly 2lbs to go so it looks like that may not come for another week or so (not weighed in this weekend yet but think I'll be quite close).
Have now perfected the low carb choc biscuits from great recipe list on this thread but only eat one every few days. It just stops me feeling deprived. The recipe says they are only 2 carbs as ingredients are almond flour, sweetner, egg white, cocoa powder and vanilla essence. I got them nice any crispy. I may add more sweetner next time, not sure.
Had a real boost last week. Saw Sains clothing offer, bought leggings and a tunic top a size small, as an incentive. Tried them on at home and leggings too big (!) And DH said that the top for over trousers was nice worn as a dress!:D
I must try more recipes. Am working bank hol but will have time next weekend.

2lb off a 2 stone loss is fantastic, I am doing low carb mug cakes, which have similar ingredients, forgot to get ground almonds today so will have to give a miss for a few days, which is good.
keep up the good work MMF007 you are doing great.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
Aw, thanks Pamsdish! I actually have another 3 stone to go, so I suppose I can say I am 40% done!!I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.0
