Ditto fridge/freezers, I have vowed (again) not to buy anymore food until what I have in freezers is gone, I have an inventory, but really need to meal plan and get it out the day before, otherwise I just grab something, same old, same old, bacon and eggs. I have set myself a budget of £50 for April for essential fresh foods, otherwise I will never get these freezers empty. Just while in my head going to get some lamb chops out for today.
Yoga is great for my back, flexibility, might get the Wii out later.
Do I need it or just want it.

Feel a lot brighter today, back is thankfully a bit easier too so feeling a bit more positive.

I have a load of paperwork to get though but hoping to dig out the recipe books later and get some fresh ideas.

I haven't set a budget for April, there are two of us so I think £50 wouldn't be enough. I'll just do the best I can.

I am a widow, don`t take milk, loads of frozen meals, homemade, in the freezer, think I can do it, time will tell, it`s only a self imposed guideline, just got to resist buying for the garden too.

I am a widow too, Pam but live with my youngest son. 6 ft 3 inches, with hollow legs......skinny as a greyhound.......:rotfl:

    I'll aim for £100.......

i am afraid I will be spending for the garden, but at least said son works at a garden centre so we get a bit of staff discount.

Just having five minutes after my brunch, bacon, eggs, mushrooms.. Put myself on the scales, stayed the same. Not bad because I haven't been very active with my bad back and I did have a bit of a carb fest for a couple of days when I struggled to cook proper meals.

Still I'm back on it now. Managed a short walk this morning, hopefully some yoga later.

I need to do more exercise to speed up weight loss and get fit, but I need to get fitter before I can do much exercise......vicious circle, innit.:rotfl:

Recorded 10st 13lb yesterday morning, so sabotaged myself with a golden syrup mug cake and a gallon of custard, hey ho,
Hopefully that`s my carb craving done for a few days at least.
Planned my meals for the rest of the week, will make some low carb puds for that must have moment.

    Morning......

Sounds like you're doing well, Pam. These carb cravings are the very devil aren't they. Planning ahead is a great idea. This is something I need to work on.

I've still got plenty of food in - I only need fruit and veg for me and milk and bread for DS2. I want to work through the food mountain and save a bit of money this month.

I found some seeds the other day lurking in a cupboard so this week I'm hoping to plant a few salad leaves and herbs. I'm also going to buy a couple of soft fruit bushes too. I had to dig up the raspberry canes because they were just too prolific - they were taking over the garden. So I'm going to try and grow the new ones in pots - don't know if it will work but worth a try.

Want to try and grow a lot more this year - I was just too busy last year so now that the weather is finally picking up I'm looking forward to getting started.

    Id like to join in!

I've got about 1-2 stone to lose, even though I don't look that big, it is all on my tummy and thighs. I'm 5 foot and 10 stone. I did lose a stone about 18 months ago but went back to bad eating habits after a holiday.

This year I have two holidays to look forward to and I want to feel confident around the pool.

I want to try low carb as I got fed up counting calories, even though it worked. Fortunately I don't like potatoes much, and bread and pasta I can take or leave. However my downfall is sweets & chocolate.

Today I've had a green smoothie for breakfast, turkey and salad for lunch and I've just cooked an oven baked frittata for tea and packed lunches. I'm also trying cloud bread which are in the oven at the moment - they don't look like the picture on the Internet! I've also made sugar free jelly with 1/4 pint single cream to make them a bit nicer, I hope they set.

I'm sure turkey/chicken/prawn/cheese salad is going to feature a lot for packed lunches, does anyone know of a low carb salad dressing to add as I feel it's a bit bland with nothing. I bought a balsamic dressing yesterday as that had the least on the shelf, but I think there must be something better.

Did you get the low carb flu? I'm not looking forward to that!

Welcome Treacle Toes, hope you find some good ideas here, I will bring forward the recipes as some useful info. I make the jellies too, but I make as instructions to the pint, then add some Lidls turkish yoghurt to 1 1/2 pints, a nice soft set which I prefer.makes 6 in my small dishes. 1 carb a portion.

Lessonlearned I have my raspberries in a big pot, this year I am going to let the current ones fruit, been in the pot at least 8 years, then replace with a new lot as getting a bit sparse, compost needs replacing probably, so out with the old etc, sowed some lettuce last week,

    Hi everyone, weLcome Treacle Toes.

Having a terrible time with my IBS. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but my tummy is very bloated and sore. Did have some wheat yesterday, so that's probably the cause.

I'm going to have to be much stricter........:o

Thanks for the heads up on raspberries in pots. I'll give that a whirl.
