    Good morning......

Another half pound off this morning. That's 2.5 lbs since Tuesday. Wahoo.

I know it's not much but small victories do add up. And each little victory Spurs me on.

Pamsdish - hope you have a good day. How did you get on last evening. I was a bit "Nibbly" - probably because my dinner was a bit too light. I did spag Bol with spiral courgettes. Nice but I think the portion was a bit too small. -and I didn't feel full enough. Anyway I grazed on nuts and seeds and some fruit so no real harm done.

I have been experimenting with cooking plain quinoa. It can be a bit bland so The other day I added some lime juice to the cooking water - gave it a nice zingy taste.

Tonight I'm going to do kedgeree, substituting Quinoa - it might have a strange texture but it should taste OK. The curry spices will zap it up a bit.

Now that the weather is picking up I'm going to try growing some fresh herbs and salad leaves in the window cills. Try and keep costs down.

I've done well with fruit and veg this week, stocked up at Aldi the other day and then popped into Asda yesterday and they had a good selection of 29p veg so snaffled them up too.

    Onwards and upwards (hopefully downwards:D)

Another half pound loss this morning, so that's 3lbs since Tuesday. I must finally be going something right because I seemed to have been stuck for so long.

Still got a long way to go but as long as I'm heading in the right direction.

Still struggling to get motivated to exercise - had to cancel last weeks Physio so will try and get an apt for this week. It might loosen me up a bit.

Pamsdish - how are you doing. I'm still finding the evening munchies a problem, I'm sure I would have lost more if I hadn't "nibbled" quite so much in the evenings.......definitely a danger zone for me.

Made a start yesterday, have tonights meal already for heating, at the moment while the weather is fine I am getting quite a bit done in the garden, with walking the dog , 5/6 times a day averaged on my pedometer to 3 miles, I am getting plenty exercise, also restarted my twice weekly swimming sessions, with the lighter nights and slightly warmer weather I seem to be getting into the zone, finished all my scratchings off, I will not buy any more for a while, although zero carb they contain a whopping 463 cals a bag, I would often eat 2 bags, and I do try to keep my cals to about 1400.
I have made some low carb desserts sugar free jelly made with a pint of water and then I mix in some thick yoghurt to 1 1/2 pints, makes 6 of my little pots, 1 carb a pot, also only 35 cals, better than my egg custard to which I added a generous amount of cream, but so delicious.
Do I need it or just want it.

    Afternoon All :)

Am trying Cauli 'rice' for the first time for dinner. Going to dry fry it, with garlic and ginger and some spices. Going to mix it with some stir fried veggies and some baked smoked haddock. Yummy!

Weighed in this morning and am 6.5lbs down.
Not at all surprised that I haven't lost more, I haven't eaten anywhere near enough dairy and fat compared to last time I followed Atkins.

Off on a weeks all inclusive holiday tomorrow, so wont be carb counting, but will be getting back on the wagon as soon as I return.

Hi - newbie to the group. I have been following the Primal Blueprint lifestyle which is relatively low carb (but big on veg so never really goes into ketosis). I've been slowly easing into it since February by cutting grains and increasing fat gradually and fully went for it 3 1/2 weeks ago. I've lost 22lbs and have never felt better.

Thanks for the recipe ideas, I'll be tweaking some to make them primal and trying next week. :)

    Good morning all.

Some great weight losses this week.. You are making me feel guilty.:o

    Not dared to weigh myself.

I've had a very bad week. I put my back out and have really been struggling - cooking has been difficult so I've not really stuck with the programme and ended up with an IBS flare up.

Anyway I think I'm starting to turn a corner, can shuffle around, stand and cook proper good again, can drive again and IBS is settling.

The good news......recent tests show blood sugars and cholesterol levels coming down so the healthy eating is definitely working.

Sorry your back has been bad this week, I also suffer with my back, I have been doing quite a bit of garden work, so been pacing myself, It`s worse if I stand in one position for a time, keep moving.
Strangely my I.B.S. has been ok on this WOE, but I find any legumes set me off mostly, not allowed on this WOE.

Thanks for that. I'm sure things will pick up - just have to keep at it.

Still having to nurse both my back and tummy. Getting really cheesed off now.:rotfl:

Just having my coffee - Then going to have a fridge and freezer sort out in a minute, then do an inventory. I have enough food in to feed an army so am planning make April a use up month and just top up with f&v, milk etc.

Yes standing for any length of time is a real problem at the moment. I forced myself to go out for a little walk just now, nearly got blown away...... going to try some back stretches and yoga later.

Have felt a tad low TBH, really missing my late husband this Easter .......hey ho, life goes on.

At least I've got the wedding to look forward to. Got to get better by then, and hopefully shift a stone.......2 months to do it - it's a bit tight but I'm going to for it.

Think I will book a few hair appt. Might help with motivation.
