Great stuff. Need to amend your signature to say 'forever away minus one month' :j:j:j

Haha. I think the kind of forever I have left will be reduced by a few years next May. :). Will update my signature when I work out how much it is reduced by. X

  • No heating tonight. Extra jumper. Think it is a high chance that this won't wash tomorrow and the heating will be on. Used to live in an old cottage with oil and now have a nice energy efficient home so not having the astronomical oil bills is fab.

Read a really helpful article from Martin Lewis today saying that it is best not to reduce the term of your mortgage but have one where you can make overpayments. Think it was good advise. We will save 200/300 a month by getting a better deal so overpayments are soon going to be 400/500 a month minimum. I want to continue to pay out what we are already paying and more to reduce the balance but the advise is to allow for an interest rate rise and reducing the term makes it unlikely to then increase it if the mortgage becomes unmanageable due to interest rates.

Busy day today. Bed is calling.

  • Made a 208.00 overpayment yesterday. Not a bad month Usual one will go out on the 16th. Hopefully we can make a few extra in the mean time. Have one student left now for two weeks so that can go in the pot :)

  • Thanks gally girl. Another nonspend day. Two weeks running we have not spent on Sunday. That must be some form of record

Have listed some stuff on a local Facebook page and sold a small table yesterday. Hoping to get what ever doesn't sell listed on e bay tomorrow.
