    Wow. We have another year of being tied in on our current product. We will then be able to remortgage on 70% ltv and that makes a huge difference. Been playing with the figures on price comparison sites today and wow. 250 a month difference. Crazy. Also found a new car today. Hopefully sign for it tomorrow. :)

    Went out shopping today and would usually spend quite a bit but managed to concentrate and just got some Christmas presents for dd. managed to hide them and not give her anything when she got in from school. Look at me with some willpower. Who knows where that came from. Did I mention I found my first grey hair yesterday. :(

    Managed to get 8 books today for friends children's Christmas presents. All £1 each. Epic. Normally spend about 6 pounds on them.

    Students seems to be having something going on. Just been to ask them if they are ok. Seem sad. Maybe boyfriend issues? It's hard being 16.

    Decided just to get a few bits and take the lack of food shop to our advantage. Also I found some paperwork today for our mortgage. Both products will have ended by May 2015 so I have been playing with figures and we should save 200 a month putting the mortgage on one product. Amazing!!! May reduce our mortgage by 5 years when we remortgage. Never changed companies before. Is it hard? Need to find a company where I can make overpayments. Exciting times :)

    Took the train to work today. Not very money saving. How expensive!!! It was ridiculous and would be much cheaper to drive and claim back parking. Lesson learnt.

    200 pounds overpayment today. Every little helps. Have a month full of students so should be able to pay some off from that. Hoping 500 and also dh will get his first pay from his new job at the end of the month after not being paid 6 weeks so the extra 2 weeks can also go in the pot. Need to work out where we are up to with overpayments this year. Want to get at least 4k off by May 2015. Maybe even more. We shall see. X
