Miles from home instead of 25 currently. :).

We have had an amazing holiday and plan to enjoy the 6 week holiday with some money saving but mainly memory making.

Another two students offered. Need to check the diary but I think we can take them. Wedding this weekend so lots of spending but will be fun. We are camping so saving money rather than the hotel room. Half the price for two nights instead of one. Fingers crossed for sun!!! X

Took the two extra students so that is us pretty much booked up for the next month and a half. May have the off few then but don't know if we can maintain this level of having them forever. 200 pounds then we are down into the next ten thousand. Have had a bit of a break on the overpayments other than the 200 as husband changed jobs twice in the last month but that is all nearly sorted now so back on it.

  • Feeling really motivated today. Have a day of sorting stuff tomorrow as some people on fb are wanting to buy some of my daughters old clothes. Also been playing with the mortgage calculator. Have 1000 worth of students booked in over the next month so that can all be over payed. Happy days.

  • Also... Managed to get a fair bit from the allotment today. I think two hours digging has filled me with endorphins. Back tomorrow to dig over another patch and hopefully get more potatoes. Yum.

  • Made an over payment of 434.84 taking the total down to 220000 Should have paid 1p more to get it under the 220k. I want to get it under 200k by this time next year. We she see. So farHoliday club booked :) I have sorted one box from the shed ready to put on th selling pages. Now to wash the windows.

Am eagerly awaiting the post man. I think I may get a tax rebate. I got 1500 last year. That would be awesome. I am also playing with the overpayment calculator. It is so addictive. Thinking of changing my regular overpayment to 300 in December. Also when I remortgage I hope to get a better deal. Do people reduce the term and increase the actual payments when they remortgage. Not really sure what is best.

Hubby got a weeks holiday pay from his old job. Not sure how they worked that out but hey I'll take it. May put half of it in the mortgage fund. Really unsure if he will get paid from his new job or if accounts will wait til next month.

  • My car broke. It has broken down 4 times in the last week. I need a new one whilst I can still p ex this one. Car shopping at the weekend. I guess this is what the rainy day fund is all about. We have two students at the moment and more booked in. Feel a bit annoyed but this is life and things come up. I need a car for work and am lucky that we don't owe anything on this one. I had it five years so not all bad.
