Good day out. Spent a fair bit but more than worth it. Signed up to a veg box scheme and get the third free. Looks good and will hopefully save money as we won't have to nip to the shop as much. Will see how it goes. Anyone else have veg boxes?

Completed some online surveys. Home from a day at the seaside and cleaned the house. Students arriving in two hours. Will put this weeks student money all into the mortgage. Have realised that our mortgage is up for renewal this May and it will hopefully reduce our monthly payments to put all the mortgage on one product instead of two. Really focused on over paying over the next 8 months. My regular overpayment of 200 will see 1600 paid into it ontop of the usual payment and ideally I want to add another 1400 to that to make the over payment at least 3k this year from now. We have students now for the next five weeks solid so that restricts us and we tend to meal plan much better and generally are better at money saving when they are here so fingers crossed x

Have a big to do list today. Going to start listing on f book and fleabay. It is my day off and the first time in forever I don't have plans to see friends. Going to wait for the post man as waiting for three cheques and have two to pay in already. It is getting cold. May need to put the hearing on soon. Maybe we can make it to October without it?

Hi Charlie! First time reading your diary and i noticed that you rent your spare room to students?

have you heard of airbnb? Its a website that allows you to rent your spare room to joe public. We have been using it this summer and managed to make about £700 since june. I thought maybe you could use it to make money from the room when you dont have students?

No spend day today. Dh wanted to go out for good but had plenty in so convinced him not to. Working from home three days this week so lots saved in fuel. Listed some bits on. eBay. Did a market research questionnaire for 7 pounds of amazon vouchers. Nearly at payout on vo also so that will go towards daughters lego for Christmas. Happy days.

Thank you. It is t as bad as it sounds and each night they are here takes that bit more off my mortgage. They are hopefully going to help with the deducting the term. We have a mortgage that is bigger than I would like and hopefully by May next year when we renew the product it will make it all worth while. We have only had one set that have been horrific the rest are mainly lovely. Also it makes us value the house more and enjoy it when we do have it to ourselves.

I worked locally today so mainly been home. Managed to get the washing on and hopefully hang it outside. It is f f f f Friday. Think it must nearly be wine o'clock. It has been a long week.
