Maintained this week,
Was happy with that, although I was very good on fast days,.. I took out eating and drinking at the weekend!
Its still 14lb off in ten weeks, so I cant complain,
Another fast day tomorrow!0 -
I'm really fed up today!
I've taken the advice from the 'official' site and eaten more on NFDs, but still only around 1000 cals. I've put on 2 lbs!
Over three days at the weekend I had wine, but that was one bottle and my friend had a glass while we watched the Wales game. Had a 'pizza lite' at Prezzo on Tuesday after the cinema, 612 cals.
I'm adding bran to cereal to prevent constipation. I've realised that it's essential, as the like of Sennacot are only to be taken occasionally.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

How often are you weighing pollypenny? You had similar last week but noticed that you had a loss on your body just not the weight. I find that if I weigh too often, I can get disheartened if it goes up temporarily. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Sometimes it makes no sense and it also seems to get harder the more fat you lose. I find it helps to look at the overall trend and not focus on the spikes. I use a very simple weight tracker on my ipad...

As an aside, I took part in a survey of weight loss apps at work and the researchers were interested to see that, generally speaking, men preferred a stripped down, no-nonsense app that just did what it said on the tin. Women, on the other hand, wanted a lot more added in: social interaction, peer support and recipe suggestion features etc.0 -
I too am one who gets disheartened when I don't see a loss on the scales. But I try to persevere even on these weeks cos if I throw in the towel now, what was the point in all the hard work (although is it hard really?) to lose the 10lbs that I have lost only to gain them all back?
It might only be 10lbs, but it makes such a difference to me. I feel my clothes are looser, things fit me better and I don't want to go back to the old me. So if I don't lose one week, mneh, just have to get on with it.
I've got 4 more weigh ins till my holidays and ideally would like to lose a further 6lbs, but like I said earlier in the week, my battle will be to stay on this diet when I'm maintaining and not doing it to lose weight. But I know that if I don't try and maintain, the weight will just come back.
Today's plan is the same as it always seems to be (I think I will change it soon as getting a tad bored).
Coffee
Oxo cube
Prawn stirfry with heaps of vegs
Options before bedPink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
(End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
(End 2022) - Target £116,213.810 -
Thanks for supportive comments, folks.
Yes, clothes are loose and my watch swings around. However, that psychological stone loss was just half a pound away.
I've not turned into a boozer either. I opened a bottle of wine on Saturday for the Wales game. My friend and I had a glass each. I had another later and one on Sunday. I actuslly measure my normal level - 180 mls, do not bad.
After the cinema on Tuesday we went to Prezzo,,where I had one of their 'lite' pizzas and a 175 glass of wine. On no day did I exceed 1000 cals!
My only change has been to add bran to cereal in the morning. Could be that, I suppose.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

4:3 went without incident again this week so I have managed 4 weeks in a row now. But it has become harder and harder each week so I have decided to go back to 5:2 for a bit.
Weight loss for the week was 1.1kg but that is probably more to do with last week lesser than it should have on the scale. Over the two weeks it has been 1.4kg with half a stone over the 4 weeks on 4:3 so it worked really well for me. With my weight now hovering just above the max recommended weight for my height I feel that while the losses are slowing on the scaled they are still decent. Fat is burning off noticeably week on week so I am pleased to have got this far.
Would highly recommend 4:3 as a shorter term fat burn method (or long term if you are brave enough). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
