I probably over did it at the weekend as we had visitors. Doing 4:3 this week and eating nothing on the fast days. Well, virtually nothing, I ate six peanuts yesterday and I've eaten two already today.0

I did weigh this morning, not my weigh day, thankfully, as I have put on 2lbs!
I doubt an hour's tai chi and a walk down town will shift it by tomorrow.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Something is going very wrong! After fasting yesterday and taking some exercise, I've put on a pound overnight apparently.
Broken scales? Constipation?
Edit to add: I've just measured my waist and I've lost 2 inches! Yippee!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

I couldn't resist weighing today, although it's not weigh day. I've lost 2lbs since last week, 3'since yesterday apparently.
I did feel that I'd had a very good day yesterday, after my depressing start. The two inch loss around my waist gave me a real boost and I bounced down town, but practically flew up that blinking hill on the way back.
I've joined the 5:2 forum on Micheal Mosley's site and found our friend piglet! Hi!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Another fast day for me. I am sticking to the fasts and trying to be good on NFD, but I put on a lb this week.
Not going to let it get me down as my clothes do feel baggier and my scales is a liar anyways. I literally get on it and it's one weight, then again and it'll be a different weight. Stupid thing.
I'm not eating all day and having a prawn stirfry for my dinner which is about 366 calories.
Coffee and an option will make it up to about 430 ish.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Good fast day today. Porridge and strawberries for breakfast at 1pm. Just two herb teas and one coffee before that.
Having aubergine curry from Mimi Spencer's book for dinner. I'll have scope for a lovely Greek yoghurt, too.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

We had visitors staying for a long weekend last week so I knew this week wasn't going to be good. As a damage limitation exercise, I decided to do a total fast Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. It worked, sort of. I weighed in at 0.2 of a pound less than last week.
At least it wasn't a gain.0 -
Gloom, have a look at the forums on the official 5:2 site. Lots of advice and support.

This week I managed to lose 2lb, dying to get under 9stone before go on holiday and I'm less than half a pound away now so fingers crossed! Last week I gained 1lb but I was convinced to have an extra Chinese the Friday night before weigh in because of feeling in a bad mood so fairly certain I was over my calories.
I am really struggling though, I feel like I'm not doing 5:2 properly because I'm using up quite a few calories at weekend, maybe having one additional night of a little more than I should then realised to compensate I have to be as low as possible for the rest of the week with 2 official fast days and 2 still only about 700 calorie daysI suppose the real issue is still overeating on the non fast days (takeaway often the culprit).
Once I get under 9 stone I would like to stop counting so strictly. My original aim was to get as low as 8stone (the heaviest I can healthily be according to BMI) but it's just too hard. I have been just over 9 stone and trying to lose weight (not using 5:2 though) for about a year now. When I was larger the weight came off more easily. May have to just accept I'll never be 'slim' again (or permanently give up takeaway! But my OH wouldn't and I wont resist if he has it).Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
I'm not convinced about this BMI thing. According to my stats I should be between 9-11 and 7-10, although I need to check that last figure again.
In my youth I was always around 8-4. Marriage, the pill and two pregnancies took me up to an average of 9-3. I lost a stone when I came off the pill and stayed like that for ages.
However, weight crept up when we moved, into a bungalow and changed schools so I was no longer climbing stairs in work, either. School puddings did not help, nor did HRT in later years.
I was 8.10 when I started that school. When I hit 10-8, I did the F Plan and lost the weight - but, I couldn't stop losing and under 8 stone I looked dreadful. I was vain in my size 8 & 10, but hate to see photos of me at that time.
I'm hoping that the sensible eating, ie intermittent fasting will lead to good habits and, more importantly, a way to maintain ideal weight on 6:1.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
