Not many people on this thread at the moment. I tend to only come on here on my fast days when I need a bit of motivation.

I would say go by your clothes as well pollypenny. My weight seems to be coming off too slowly for my liking, but my clothes seem to be fitting me slighter better.

I lost 1/2 lb this week and I wanted more (but of course).

Fast day today as I was off work yesterday (usually fast on a Monday) and I'm struggling a little, but I have made it to 3.30pm with only an oxo cube for lunch.

I didn't even drink last night, so I guess I expected today to be easier.

    I'm on week 6 and in 5 weeks, I have lost 5 1/2 lbs.

My fast day plan is the same as always.

    B - Coffee 26
    L - Oxo cube - 8
D - Micromeal (don't like the one I'm planning on having, so might change it. Was supposed to be roast beef dinner, but I like the look of the chow mein one instead).
    Stirfry and peppers and mushrooms.
    S - Options before bed.

Up to almost 2 litres of water already.

I too was disappointed, I stayed the same,
I still have lost 12lbs in 7 weeks, but I was hoping to have the stone off this week,
To be fair I'm still not fitting in much exercise apart from work which is physical, but I also have three fast days this week as we went out for my mums birthday last Friday, damage limitations!

I will stick with it, and try and get more exercise in this week,

    You've done well, piglet.

I've done 6 weeks now and have lost 9lbs and 1/4, very important 1/4!

OH is doing even better, but he has more to lose. He has an appointment with the practice nurse tomorrow, so looking forward to her reaction.

I've been coasting through the last few weeks finding it easy and losing some weight every week. I miss the engagement and challenge I had when I first began so I have decided to change from 5:2 to 4:3 for this week and next and see how it goes. Will probably drop back to 5:2 after next week. Fast days this week are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday. And second fast of the week for me.

Hungry at 1.50pm, but to be expected. Been a bit manic at work and dealing with some family issues, but okay.

Going to have an Oxo cube in a few minutes and hopefully that will tide me over till 6pm and dinner time.

Having a chicken casserole micromeal tonight with the rest of the stirfry from Tuesday and any leftover peppers / mushrooms.

Then the obligatory Options at about 9.30pm.

The 4:3 went without incident. Yesterday was probably the hungriest I have felt on a fast day but it wasn't too bad. Not sure if it was down to it being a third day, a consecutive day or a bit of both.

Today I do feel hungry so will have to be careful not to over eat as it will pass and I should normalise from tomorrow.

I think I will give it another go next week and see how it goes as I wouldn't mind doing this over the summer if it isn't too difficult.

I'm delighted with my progress now and, sounding big headed, I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror as I pass.

I have a waist again! And when I sit down, my spare tyre is not bigger than my bust!

Out for a meal tonight, so I've done my fast day routine - porridge about 1pm, after just coffee in the morning. I've booked the table for 7pm and I'll be ready for it.

Last week I regained the 2lb I had lost since starting 5:2... I was so disappointed. Absolutely determined to lose the 4lbs needed to get under the next stone.

I had a bad weekend of eating lots of pizza with my friend. But I decided to record all the calories. I calculated my BMR and a guide online suggested for efficient weight loss to cut this 25%. I also factored in that if I wanted more calories to exercise more. For the last week every weekday I have had pretty low calories but only 2 official fast days. I was surprised at how easy it became actually. Thought I'd feel starving only having about 4000 calories over 5 days but I guess my determination this week meant I managed (also I exercised a little to allow myself some extra!)

This week I lost 2.5lbs. The hard work has paid off! I don't think counting every day is sustainable and I feel like this week was a bit extreme (I had over 4000 calories over just saturday and sunday though so i twas a bit of a weird week!). This week I will be counting again bu not going to crazy at the weekend so the week in general can be more normal.

We went out for a meal on Friday. Didn't go mad, though, but yesterday OH said he wanted to cut down drastically, as he felt bloated after the meal.

Complete change of attitude. I haven't eaten anything yet today. Two coffees and a tea. Just don't want anything.

I've also joined the 'official' intermittent fast forum. I posted a comment, but can't find it now.
