Pleased to report that my emergency 4:3 is showing results already. Fasted Monday and Wednesday, and this morning had lost two pounds with another fast day tomorrow. Going out for a meal on Saturday so that will stall things until next week when I shall do the same again. I do think exercise is also key. I do Zumba at least twice a week and my evening job involves around five miles of walking three times a week. I do find fast days easy, as I can easily refrain from eating until later in the day. I also fast on exercise and work days, so if anyone is worried about doing that, don't.0

Good work, Ibiza fan.
Fast day today. Just done some hard gardening, with the bonus of calorie burn, but it's come to rain. End of that!Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Great stuff Pollypenny. Hope this has spurred you on, as if you keep going, you should see a steady small loss each week.0

Just did my Saturday morning weigh in (if I weigh myself during week Saturday morning is the only one I actually note down) and very pleased to have 2 lb off! I was worried it wasn't going to go that way since I stayed the same those weeks I ended up having 1 fast day, but clearly the second makes all the difference. I agree with what others have said about appetite decreasing on non fast days, last night all I had for dinner was scrambled egg on toast, we had ice cream in the freezer I was expecting to tuck into but I managed to forget about it because I just wasn't that hungry.
After all my slimming world yoyo-ing I think this is finally back down to the lowest I got on that. Fingers crossed for another 2lb off next week and I'll be thrilled if I FINALLY get under 9 stone (I'm under 5 foot tall so it's not an unreasonable goal)Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
Difficult afternoon! There is a large bar of chocolate in the fridge - I won it last night!

Did you eat the chocolate pollypenny? Well done if you didn't.
Another fast day and I was awful over the weekend, so jumping straight back on wagon. Lost just under a lb this week which I am happy with considering my terrible weekend.
On Saturday, I ate (or drank)... wait for it, over 3,600 calories which is just craziness!!!!!
Going to be uber good this week. It's the alcohol that's my downfall especially as it just makes me want to eat more!
So my total is 5lb in 3weeks.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

The chocolate is still in the fridge, along with one of Aldi's mini bars!
Only had two meals on Sunday and a great day yesterday. It was a planned visit, by train, to an old friend who's moved away, lunch etc.
I did have a small piece of cake with coffee when I arrived, but had I known it wasn't home made, I would have said no.
Obviously I wasn't driving, but I wasn't even tempted to have wine with lunch. I chose salad and new potatoes with my lunch, instead of chips and shared them with my friend. Didn't put butter on either.
My mind set seems to have completely changed.
Fast day today. So breakfast after tai chi.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Pleased to report another 2lbs off! That's 11lbs in 5 weeks!
I think it helps that I fast on Mondays, and weigh on Tuesdays.
Although I don't know if I can fast this Monday, as I'm working from 7am til 830pm!
I might try and see... Any tips for getting through it?
I'm a carer in the community, so my shifts are either 7am \ 1pm, or 2pm until 830pm, or the whole day, 7am \ 830pm
I usually fast on my half days, and if I start at 7am, I will have a nap when I get in, and sleep through a meal,
If I start at 2pm, I usually lie on reading and listening to the radio,
But in the 5 weeks, I haven't tried to fast on a long day. Any advice?
Today, we are having Chinese takeaway, so I will eat very little else, but won't be under the 500 calories. And I will fast again on Thursday.
On fast days I tend to stick to really simple things. Tea and toast, ham toasties, slimming world cereal bars, etc
I try not to think about the carbs \ sugars make up, and think more about the 500 calories, so far its working well for me!
Good luck to everyone for the week ahead x0
