    Another day, another fast.

Planning on doing Monday and Thursday usually, but not working tomorrow and I find fasting easier when I'm in the office as it's only me here and there's no temptation.

    My plan for today is:-

    B - Coffee - 26
    D - Bisto Sausage and Mash - 379
    Peppers / Beansprouts / Tomtatoes - 55 ish
    S - Options - 40
    Squash - 8
    Total - 508

Slightly over today, but I bought a load of ready meals and they are slightly higher calories than I would have liked. Not going to waste them, so will work my way through them.

Finding it okay so far, but then it is only 11.38am. I use the fast diet to curb my drinking as well as I find it too hard to fast if there's any sign of a hangover.

So, so far, Monday was AF and Tuesday was AF. Yay!

DD has told me that I'm not eating enough on non-fast days, so my metabolism s slow.

That's not true.. if that was the case you would be losing weight much faster. The reason I stopped this diet a year ago is because i got ill and didn't manage to eat more than 1000 calories a day... I had a bad time but I got to my ideal weight very easily.. it made me understand how easy is to lose weight really!

I was so disappointed not to have lost weight in the first week, though.

That is understandable but even if you ignore all other benefits, you are creating a calorie deficit in the 5:2 so the loss will come soon.

I know that and I feel more energetic.

Fast today today. OH is pouring over the recipe book as I type.

So I took last week off fasting for a few reasons, it was my birthday week, I find it easier on work days and it was a short week etc.

This week I tried to fast Monday but had an awful day and ended up getting a pizza for dinner

    Managed to fast successfully yesterday.

    I'll get there eventually!

My OH is attempting this too but he is finding it much harder. He can't wait till lunch to eat and feels starving. I explained starting to eat as late as possible and drinking plenty and he assures me he's trying both.

How 'good' is everyone the rest of the week? I'm aware I should be good-ish but am not concerning myself too much

    I've been Money Tipped!
I fast on two week days, say Monday and Thursday. So Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday I eat pretty carefully, and Saturday and Sunday I treat myself more, eg with wine, or going out for a meal. If you go over the top on all 5 days, you won't see much benefit to be honest.

I'm fairly good on the other days. All home cooked and within my daily calorie limit. For alcohol I have whisky with sparkling water and for chips or roast potatoes I make them in the actifry. I do have a packet of crisps once or twice a week which is the only thing I can think of that I eat that is unhealthy.

I found it much easier to stay within my calorie limit on the other days since I began 5:2. My pre dinner my calories for the day would be no more than 800 which makes it very easy to have a filling meal meaning I do not get hungry at all in the evening and avoid snacks and also am relatively fill the next morning.

OH has just had a trying on session, mainly jackets. He looks great and is already losing the gut. Beaming at himself!

We are out for a meal today, so I'll have my porridge late, no lunch and enjoy my meal tonight.

I'll probably have a large glass of wine. Wine and potatoes were my downfall, as I really don't like biscuits and crisps and will have a cake about once in six months. Reserving wine for when out limits it.
