Never mind! A non scale victory with the jeans!!

My mum was in hospital once, she was chatting to a nurse and happen to say to her, " oh I lost five stone at slimming world but I have a pound on this week".. The nurse replied... "oh I wouldn't worry about that... Sure you could pi$$ out a pound".. While I'm not sure that's correct, I do know what she means!

Probably related to your comment, piglet.

I've just weighed and have lost 2 &3/4 lbs since last Friday, my last weigh-in.

Problem was clearly caused by the dieters constipation! I also took my pyjamas off to weight, then tried it again. They seem to weigh a pound!

I'm do glad. Yesterday I was in a bad mood all day and sooooo tempted to open a bottle of wine. I resisted, thankfully.

Fast day for me. This is the beginning of week 5.

Have lost a total amount of 4lb 15oz in 4 weeks. Bit depressing, but I don't have a huge amount to lose. Clothes are starting to feel a little better too and it's helping me to drink less alcohol.

I've had a Oxo cube for the first time today and it was actually quite nice. Better than fruit or green tea that I'ave been having at 2pm ish in previous fasts.

    B - Coffee - 26
    S - Squash - 2
    L - Oxo "Tea" - 8
    D - Microwave meal (don't know yet - about 350 usually)
Beansprouts, peppers, mushrooms (don't know, but not a lot)
    S - Options - 40

Fast day today for me. Had a sandwich for lunch yesterday do that made three small meals on a NFD, first time. I had to go out early, though.

The bread ended up as my only carbs, as weight watcher quiche and broccoli for dinner was plenty.

I'm wasting time until porridge about 11.

My fast days are usually Monday and Wednesday but on Bank Holidays I do Tuesday and Thursday as I want to be at work on a fast day. I did yesterday however I have a work dinner tomorrow so won't be able to fast tomorrow so for the first time in a while I am doing consecutive days.

I don't really have a problem with that on the two days but usually the day after two consecutive days can be challenging so will have to be proactive tomorrow.

    Hiya!

i'm subscribed to this thread but haven't posted in a very long time.

I started 5:2 in January after giving up late last year and pigging out like a good'un :)

    So I started at 86.2 kg. I'm now 78.5kg
Did very well for about 12 weeks then stalled.
This time I kept at it and through my 8 week stall I was so glad I did all the measuring as in that time I lost 9 inches off neck, underbust, natural waist, belly button belly and hips. By losing inches off these places, we are sure to be losing fat. I think I stayed at a similar weight as I was using the fat I was burning to live.

I beat my stall by doing the potato hack for 4 days 1 week, 3 days the next then going back to regular eating with interesting FDs.

I'm still losing inches and weight. Never really dramatic, but I think although my weight loss is slower, I'm using the fat it took me so long to accumulate.

Basically, if you haven't measured everything - do it now.
I do neck, bust (across the nipples) underbust, natural waist, belly button waist, hips, upper arms, thighs and calves.

I know I'm probably not telling you stuff you don't already know but I can attest to measuring about once a week. It has kept me going when the scales have let me down.

    Big love XXX

Yep, once I start, there's little stops me posting :)

I think we can have very interesting FD meals. I wait until my evening meal to eat. I find, like many, that if I eat in the day it sets me off.

So I have bouillon from Marigold as a drink twice in the day and also drink herb teas and a lot of water.

My latest evening meal was very good and satisfying. I think we can all get a bit leary of potatoes but at 75 cals per 100g they aren't bad. They give me a sense of fullness and I believe help me sleep.

    So here goes
    day
    2x bouillon 24 cals
    Eve
    Spud 310g - 237cals
    Cottage cheese 100g - 98 cals
    Mushrooms 50g - 6.5cals
    spring onion 20g - 5 cals
    garlic paste 1/4 heaped teasp - 4cals
    asparagus 100g - 25 cals
    King prawns 120g - 100 cals
lots of salt and black pepper, herbs and spices of choice.

Total on the day 499.5 cals :rotfl:

I cook the spuds the day before then reheat, steam the asparagus, chop mush, springers, garlic paste, heat until nearly done, add cottage cheese, then add prawns for last minute.
Put hot spuds into a bowl, add asparagus, top with cheesy, garlicky prawns.

You feel like you've eaten like a Queen.

Lots of alternatives to my ingredients, green beans, purple brocolli etc, salmon, light philly.

I never feel like I've missed out when I cook this.

    Another fast day for me.

I'm struggling as yet again I drank last night as I went out. Didn't drink that much, but it's a waste of calories and always make it harder the following day if I'm fasting.

I will stick to it though as a punishment and tell myself that next week's fasts will be easier as I won't drink the day before.

What is potato hack mercy? Might look that one up. Shouldn't have read your lovely sounding recipe on a fast day, oops!

I have another spaghetti bolognese ready meal to look forward to. i found one that is 319 and I really like it and find it filling along with stirfry veg, so I will eat it on fast days until I get bored of it.

    Then an options about 9pm.

And mustn't forget the Oxo Cube which I am so looking forward to at 1pm!

My weigh day today and a bit disappointing!

Last week I was 10st 7 1/4 lbs, so was looking forward to that psychological under 10 1/2 st. No! Gained half a pound.

I'm basically on two meals a day now, without trying consciously, I just don't want lunch or potatoes.

DD keeps telling me to go by clothes, not scales. I'd say you need both.

    How are you all doing?

Another pound down and BMI dropping beautifully, too.

I reread 'the book' yesterday, so have had lunch and breakfast so far today.
We have so many eggs in the fridge I thought I better eat some.
