Hi everyone
*DRESS UPDATE
I've just tried it on and it now clearly needs work where it didn't previouslythe bust has always needed adjusting but now the back is gaping too
the beaded area under the bust needs taking in and the whole dress needs taking in at least one size
it also needs shortening but that was always the case.
I've been quoted 35 max which is fine- I can live with that.
As for sponsors dinner well I'm just buying a belt for my jeans unless they're at the point where they wont stay up in which case I will need to buy a 14 in them. However they are Bailey Super Skinny jeans from Dotty P's so thankfully not difficult to get hold of. The top I have bought is a 14 anyway so that shouldn't be a problem. I had my best loss in a few weeks last night- 1.5lbs to get my 2 stone award. I have 2 more weeks to wait before I can afford to get my dress adjusts so I have a bit of leeway there then I will really need to rein it in for four weeks- that will be the hardest trying not to gain while I'm trying not to lose!!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

Brilliant, always love breaking a stone barrier!
Daisy - that's just like serendipity...hope it all works out fabulously!

And yes - am going to beautiful Cumbria for the hen weekend . . . but self catering. One hen is a Vegetarian, and one is a Vegan Raw Foodist. Food will be really interesting!!
You could be in for some Success Express then with all that veg around!
Change of plan for lunch - it'll still be eggs but I'm going to make a bacon & mushroom omlette rather than scrambled eggs. Will still have a bit of salad with it.
Have already had a snack this morning of Duck Sushi (1.5 syns) from Tesco as was starving after I'd been to the hospital. Just looked this up and it's been increased to 2 syns, why? It doesn't look or taste any different!
Lunch also changed again! I didn't want to open a new pack of bacon for just a rasher to put in my omlette so used a slice of ham instead. Had loads of beetroot with it as well as my 2 slices of toast. Made a nice change to have omlette rather than scrambled eggs - I seem to go in phases between the 2 and have had quite a lot of scrambled eggs recently.

Mrs_Ryan I'd leave the dress alterations as late as they will let you. When I got married my dress was around 2 sizes too big (the shop insisted!) but it dis mean I could change it to lace up back which I really wanted.
I tried it on around a week before the wedding, but didn't spend very long in it, so I'd suggest spend at least 10 mins with it on if it's strapless. That way you will get a feel for if it's going to slip down! Mine was heavily beaded and on the day I spent all my time pulling the blooming thing up, and making it tighter all the time, as it felt as if I was showing more and more boob!
I know yours is a ball dress, but same principle really!0 -
Hi all!! Weighed in this a.m and would like to report a 4lb loss!
Not quite sure how but think it is that i cut out a lot of late night and in between meal snacking. Still need to cut out lot of the mealtime "carp". Need to focus more on eating real food and more of it- more filling too!!
Wish me luck!! Hope you all are enjoying the better weather. D x :j0 -
Hi Michele
Unfortunately the shop where I'm having it done has a week minimum turnaround time and the weekend before I need it is Easter weekend and the shop will be closed. I've been told I need to allow more like 2 weeks to get the alterations done so I would rather get the big work done sooner rather than later if you see what I mean? The back is elasticated so can't be tightened and yes it's originally strapless but I have attached straps as I can't keep strapless dresses up*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

Well done, that's a great loss. Agree that "real" food is more filling then "carp".
Weather not too good here today, it's really grey and cloudy and really cold - it's a north easterly wind.

Seen a few people mention Success Express on here.....I have no idea what it is?? Am I missing something?0

Success Express is to increase your loss when you plateau. It means having 2/3 SF to 1/3 free food, so you have 1/3 of your plate as, say potatoes & meat and 2/3 vegetables.
You have 3 meals a day and get 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs. Syns are counted at the highest value of Red, Green or EE.
HTH.
