    Evening all. Hiya, new faces.

Thanks shala for all the effort you put into keeping up our chart. Somehow I don't think I'll be having much effect on it :(

    Anyhow, review of Sunday's plan
Breakfast: hexb porridge, little hexa milk, banana
Lunch: tuna jacket with spring onion, mayo (1), beetroot No potatoes, cos helpful; husband cooked them all to go with last night's bourgignon (I put the extra into the leek & potato soup I made yesterday, so they weren't wasted, and I had that for lunch.
Dinner: The Big Mystery - we'll be at friends' house, so EEK! is likely. EEK! indeed a) afternoon tea - gingerbread (?) and French Fancy (5.5) (I have no will power when something is placed in front of me), b) dinner - fresh fruit starter :) of melon, grapes, pineapple & strawberries, chicken tonight Spanish chicken (3.5), rice, mange tout, baby corn & green beans, followed by raspberry roulade (I have no will power when something is placed in front of me) with creme fraiche (9.5!!!!!!! + 1.5)
    Snack: Graze carrot cake (4)

Total: 24+ Bad, bad, bad me:(

Monday's Plan (It's not going to be much better :( methinks)
    Breakfast: yogurt & fruit
Lunch: out with friend (cue Jaws danger music)
Dinner: all day breakfast (1) from SW mag

    Be good everyone!

I was wondering if there were any older ladies on here, I am 69 this year and am well aware that my skin is not as elastic as it was, I really want to lose weight as I have arthritis and the pain is so bad some days I just sit in a hot bath and cry. I have lost 2 stone over the last year
which works out at around o.5lb a week and had no real signs of wrinkles .

I love this SW approach but am worried that I am losing weight too quickly for my skin to cope, I have lost 8lb in five weeks and am very
unhappy to have wrinkly thighs. Please anyone my age any advice?

    Evening all!

London today - sat and ate my salad and chicken and fruit on the bank of the Thames in the lovely sunshine. Then to a play, and home on the train with a box of mango chunks. Steak and salad for supper - so I managed to stick at it! Such a lovely cheerful day with smashing weather.

Hope everyone's well - haven't really managed to catch up efficiently, but did I see a post about someone having new knickers? Was it you Lantanna . . .

    Night all!!

    Hiya :)
Good god what a day yesterday was. My rugby team lost 51-7.. our heaviest defeat in 20 years :( spent most of the day in rotten pain with my back :( and to top it all off my player picked up a head injury a couple of games ago and speaking to him today its not getting any better :( my mate reckons we're like an old married couple and she says she needs a sick bucket watching us fuss over each other :rotfl:
However despite these testing times it was a beautiful hot sunny day and I was good... I didn't stray off plan :)
B: Bacon with fat removed, cup of coffee with HEXA milk
L: BM tikka chunks, 2 x HEXB HiFi Light bars, litre of Boots Brecon Carreg, 2 x pots of melon chunks
Snack: Apple, bottle of Diet Pepsi
T: A huge pile of steamed veg (broccoli, sprouts, carrots) Aunt Bessies Homestyle Roasties, (2.5 syns) 2 chicken legs (minus skin) with Chicken Tonight Spanish Chicken (1/2 a jar so 6 syns) pint of NAS cordial
S: Fresh strawberries and raspberries with 2 x Mullerlight.
Off to bed now.. meeting with manager tomorrow... joy! Night all xx

Delighted! Week 2 of the challenge, 3.5lbs off.

This was the first time I had done weekly syns. I had a big blow out on Friday, but stayed within my syns overall - and got the biggest loss since week 1, bigger than when I stick to the plan as its supposed to be.

Although since Saturday I've been full of the cold, I don't know if that affects weight loss! Been cold and shivery much of the time... Feeling a bit better today, but I think the cough is going to start shortly :(

Never mind, at least I don't have to go to work feeling like crap!

Morning all, hope you all had a good weekend.

Well, I have to admit to falling off the wagon after last Monday's weigh in. Felt so disappointed as I've been so good for weeks and weeks and only getting STS or losing a 1lb. However, I picked myself up and gave myself a good talking to before getting back on plan on Wednesday.

We got the cycles out yesterday, packed a picnic and headed off for a ride around Derwent Water. Only trouble was, the world and his wife had had the same idea so we couldn't park anywhere near. Ended up in a layby nearly 2 miles away, but as hubby said - it's all extra exercise!

So, after all that drama, I am very happy to report a loss of 2 1/4lb. Think I am going to try mixing up what I eat for breakfast and lunch this week as I normally stick to the same things, maybe the change in diet (albeit bad) was what was needed to give my body a jump start.

On a plus note, hubby says his jeans are fitting better now even though he only has the same evening meal as me and continues to eat what he did before I started SW at other times.

Thanks for the updated chart Shala, some fab losses there everyone :T

    Morning,
Lots to catch up on here J
Welshkitty – Fab loss!!:j I can’t keep crisps in the house as they are my vice and can’t resist them!! And I’m just not capable of drawing a line after one packet!! My advice would be to not have them at all unless you really really have to for other family members and then buy them ones you don’t like lol!!
Pinklady, Trow & Swiper – Woo hoo go u lot and your losses !! :T
Shala – Yes I am delighted with myself at being in Size 12 Knickers and it makes all the difference lol as you would imagine. I feel like leaving the label hanging out!! Good work with the chart – you deserve a medal for keeping on top of it all!! :T
TIE - Sometimes it just seems like one thing after another doesn’t it and your having a bad run!! Hope your feeling a bit better! :grouphug:
Mrs Ryan – Well done for resisting the flatbread lol.:T Not sure I could have been so strong J. Flippin men offering us bread – like we are ducks – how dare they lol!! Seems I’m not the only one in danger of exposing themselves either J
Daisy – Lol love must be in the air:j – all sounds very intriguing a second date the next day!! Try and be 100 % on it now - no more pizza lol its just not worth the syns - especially cold!!
Pinklady – Do everything Maman tells you to do she is the expert around here!:T Lol. Yes you should enjoy the party – life is there to be enjoyed, just plan for it and choose very wisely the rest of the week – that’s what I do and it does work. I love how you can let your hair down every so often with SW – TBH if you couldn’t there is no way I’d still be here lol.
Meg72 – I’m 34 though when I had two big losses in consecutive weeks there I noticed that the skin on my face – under my eyes in particular seemed really dry and wrinkly – but I was hitting the gym hard and think I was dehydrated:eek: – it seems to have sorted itself out now – thankfully. If you can do any type of walking at all I would recommend that as it is good for toning. I think everybody is different and age can obviously be a factor – but I honestly wouldn’t worry about it too much I would just try and stick to the plan and see what happens. Some people are really lucky and others not so lucky. My stomach area is a bit of a mess but as I am going to the gym I am seeing some good changes to it and I have started slathering on the bio oil. I will definitely be left with some loose skin but I feel it is a small price to pay and so worth it!
Yes Mrs Lady – Its me with my Size 12 knickers lol lowering the tone around here:rotfl:– totally delighted with myself as I’ve never had a size 12 knicker anywhere near me as an adult!!!
Seabee – We all fall off the wagon, every so often so don’t beat yourself up too much – its life and we are only human. Great loss by the way. :T
Right - Flippin heck – I think that is me caught up with you all xx

    I wouldn't worry GT I'm going the wrong way:o

This weekend has been horrendous food wise, I've woken up to a big Jaffa cake cake for my birthday, then we're off to TGI's this evening so I dread to think how much I'll put on this week

I'm going to spend this morning trying to sort out an eating plan I think for the week going forward..

Might go and steal some menu's off you all..

Seabee, pink lady, Annie, dincanada, Trow, swiper - good losses!!!
    Be back later x

So now I’ve caught up with you all heres my biz!!
    The Food
Not the best of weekends but not the worst either to be fair. On Thursday night after weigh in I had a Chinese and I felt so sick after it - it was only half rice, half chips and curry sauce but it was rotten – some treat that turned out to be!! Anyway I noticed it was a new chef – so that could be me fallen out with my local Chinese – which would be no bad thing actually!!
So on Saturday I absentmindedly made myself a bacon and chicken sandwich and didn’t trim the fat of the bacon and then of course I didn’t do anything about it and then ate the blooming bacon.
On Saturday night I was in a rush as was trying to clean the house for a friend coming round and ended up grabbing a WW Meal from the garage. Didn’t check the syns or anything.
Then yesterday I was at the market and managed to behave reasonably well – though as the offer of breakfast was on the cards I had to eat something. I ate a crepe with apple and cinnamon whilst he sat and ate a big fry!! He wandered off whilst she was making the crepe so I was able to secretly instruct her - no sugar – no cream – no chocolate lol. She probably thought I was neurotic!! Anyway I only ate half of it as it was massive and wasn’t really doing anything for me. In future I’m going to insist on non food related dates lol for the majority!!!
So then yesterday afternoon I went to the gym and did 7k on the treadmill in an hour and 20 mins on the bike – can’t remember the K but I think that was good. Sweat lashing off me as usual!!
I thought I was totally on it yesterday having a baked potato with tuna and salad for t but then some more cheese fell into my mouth last night and then I ended up having a bacon sandwich as well!! Aaagh just remember there was a curly wurly as well!!
Totally back on track today after giving myself a stern talking too!!! Writing everything down and being totally on it!! The thought of my size 12 knickers should keep me on the right track lol.
So off to Kettle bells class tonight – which makes me feel good after - not during lol and the menu looks like this
    B: Muller Light
L: 25g Pasta, Peppers, Sweetcorn, Tuna, Jalapeños, Laughing Cow Light (HE), Boiled Egg
D: Chicken Breast, Stir fry Veg & Noodles, Soy sauce
    HE: 2 Hi Fi Bars!
    Snacks & Syns – Extra Light Mayo – 2

    The Date
Well I am pleased to report that it all went very well – don’t know what I thought was going to happen lol. He behaved like a perfect gent and there was no awkward silences or anything. After the market we went for the most random drive round the coast and I couldn’t have even told you half the places that we were as the chat was flying. 5 hours we were out!! He does seem to be a nice man and as I say a gent as didn’t try anything so I felt very comfortable in his company very quickly! I don’t know if I fancy him as such but there is definitely an attraction there and definitely chemistry. I’m a slow burner when it comes to men anyway and it takes me a while to start seeing them in that way.
He seems to be really keen and has already text to say he had a good time and would I like to go out again. He text me before he picked me up on Sunday to say he was excited lol – I thought that was very sweet. I just hope his keenness doesn’t put me off as it can do with men in the past. For some bizarre reason being chased freaks me out!! I have usually went for the bad guys in the past – the ones that I have ended up chasing and that has gotten me nowhere in the past but hurt and demented lol - so I figure its good to try something new! So I’ll just go with it and see what happens!!
Sorry for such a long post but clearly I have a lot to say today lol J

    Oh crap lol

Just got an email from someone in Slimming World HQ about being my groups biggest loser and entering myself into the National Competition.

I might just send it in anyway whilst I am in good form and then I can always duck out at a later date if I decide its not for me!
