    Hiya all :)
Updating for Saturday and Sunday although I've been v naughty Saturday (I blame OH. It's all his fault!! :D) I've got a fairly certain gain this week but I've definitely lost inches, I know I have. Put a top on last night that is fairly new and I know fitted when I bought it, it's now baggy.. All my trackies are mega baggy and my size 16 jeans now have a little room in the back and are comfy :j however my shapewear is now too big  more expense!
    Saturday's menu:
B: 2 x HEXB Tesco Wheat Biscuits, HEXA milk, cup of coffee with HEXA milk
L: Just a HiFi bar (Free2Go day so classed as HEXB) and a pint of NAS cordial- went out shopping and was busy for most of the day so just grabbed this quick before tea.
T: Pasta bolognaise made with extra lean mince, pasta, and Sainsburys light tomato and herb sauce, fresh strawberries and a Mullerlight choc orange, pint of NAS cordial, and er- quarter of OH's garlic flatbread :D (you don't count syns as such on Free2Go but if I was counting it would be 8 syns :D)
Snack: 1.5 Diet Cokes in the pub and er a bag of crisps :D again if I was counting it would be 8 syns :o
Body magic: 30 mins on bike
Sunday- supper was after midnight so I class it in Sunday's syns- it was a mini soda farl (4.5) with a tiny scraping of Flora lighter than light(0.5) loads of wafer thin ham, and a Chinese style MugShot.
    Today is EE.
B: Bacon and scrambled egg, coffee with HEXA milk
L: Kiwi fruit, strawberries, melon, banana, HEXB Alpen light bars, pack of tikka chunks (I'm at the rugby tomorrow) no doubt I will buy some diet coke as well..
T: Peppered Quorn steaks, steamed mixed veg, a few Aunt Bessie's homestyle roasties (2.5) pint of NAS cordial, Mullerlight.
S: Tin of beans with Worcester sauce.
Body magic will be a bit of walking and hopefully a bit of time on the bike.
    Night all xx

Hi everyone, I'm really keen to start SW. I have don WW in the past, very succesfully but the problems is that it is not a sustainable (IMO) plan - I can't see myself being stuck with its rigidity (again IMO) long term. I think a diet should be less of a diet and more of a long term healthy choice plan - I haven't always felt this way. I have done everything from Atkins, to Soup diet to WW looking for a quick fix to my emotional eating *blush*. Anyway, things are such a struggle financially at the moment so I cannot afford to go to groups and I would have just stuck to weight watchers because I am at a point where I know their system inside out and backwards so can follow it very very cheaply BUT my friend has given me an oldish (2013) Slimming world starter pack but for the life of me I cannot work out where Bread and Cheese fall on either days - if they are syns or part of a red/green day. I would really appreciate some help figuring this out please if you don't mind.

    Hi!!

Just want to check where I can find the most up-to-date and correct HEA and HEB list for EE plan please?

    Many thanks x
the latest full list is on the slimming world website. It lists new additions as well as items they have taken off. It is far longer than the list in the books. If you access the mobile version of the website (not the app)via your smart phone and click into food diary you can see the list whilst you are out an about shopping. I like the fact I can have 200ml of the oatly chocolate milk as a HEA for example.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

Morning montymud, cheese and bread fall under the healthy extras category.

On extra easy, you have your list of free foods plus a healthy extra a (cheese) plus a healthy extra b (bread, cereal) and 5-15 syns.

On red days you can have your list of free foods (meats, fish) plus 2 hea(cheese, milk) and 2 heb (bread, cereal) and 5-15 syns

On green days you can have your list of free foods (pasta, rice, potatoes etc) plus 2 hea(cheese, milk) and 2 heb (bread, cereal) and 5-15 syns

Hope that helps, and doesn't sound to patronising, it wasn't meant to be. Post two of the thread might help as well if you fancy a quick read of it - or check out some menus that people have posted to get the hang of it.

Unfortunately you can only use this if you're a paying SW member... Which if I read rightly missis_amber isn't.

I'm sure if you google it, missis_amber, there would be a list floating about the internet somewhere, if not the minimins website usually has most of the information.

  • :( I had a bad day today :(

I ate a pouch think of the galaxy minstrels this morning, to be honest and they were hardly amazing :(so not worth a gain anyway! Can't believe I gave in, but hey ho it's done.

Notice I said had! That's the optimist in me :rotfl:

Going to have a tomato mug shot for lunch and some apples and grapes in fat free yoghurt

Don't know about dinner yet as I'm working till 8 so may just have some rivitias or something when I get back and some veg.

I'm moving tomorrow so cupboards are bare so I think that's what causing the problem for today as usually we always have lots in stock.

Gonna take the dogs out for a run/walk anyway.

Hope everyone is having a better day that me!

  • Shala, we are always told in our group that you can have 5-15 syns per day with the average person aiming for 10. Do you find you still hve a good weightloss with 15 syns per day? Just wondering because I've never been brave enough to have that many! Xx

  • Well done for drawing the line Amber! A bad hour doesn't have to mean a bad day/week Xx

Sorry I should have worded that better to be 5-15 syns shouldn't I.. I'll go back and change it.

I was told to aim for 10 to give a little leeway if you've accidentally under synned something when you first start so I always stuck to 10, but coming on here I see people having 15 and still losing weight so I thought why not!!:D

Some days I have 15, some days I don't, depends if I get the munchies or not...

I don't do my syns daily but do have 105 per week which works out at 15 a day and I've got to target doing this, as have several other people, both on here and in group.

I've had a couple of really carp days (Thurs & Fri). Managed to have a better day yesterday - even though I'd had 10 syns in the breakfast out I only had another 3 syns later in the day so all in all, a much better day.

Back on track today - am doing another EE day as it's much easier when DH is around all day.

    So today's menu is:

B - magic porridge with Mullerlight banana & custard; banana
L - either crabstick salad or bacon & mushroom omlette & salad - depends which DH wants (hope he's not too much longer doing some DIY - I'm getting hungry!)
D - Lamb tagine with couscous. It's in the slow cooker at the moment and beginning to smell gorgeous:T.

So with all that the only syns will be some dried apricots in the tagine 2.5.

    Denise
