Got my fitness pal ap, spent last few days adding my food and exercise in, really like as it encouraging me to write down everything which I hadn't been doing, also to break down my meals into all its bits which makes you think.
Woke early so nipped to gym for an hour.
Found a pair of jeans that fit nicely in back of cupboard, on the positive they definitely didn't fit before but on the negative, they are still size 18. This had led to a wardrobe ransack and definitely still size 18, plus some 18s are still too smallMorgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

pwi STS for 2b didn't make my valentine target but still below main target (just) 😏
Emotional day for me (on top of all my other emotional days) as it's 29 years today that my baby boy passed to spirit. Went to cemetery and had a good cry. It really is sad to see how many heaven lent babies have joined my own since he passed. Totally heartbreaking.
Came home to listen to builders working on house all day as the forecast of rain means they won't be able to render next week and today was dry so they made the most of it (understandable). Noisy though.
Hope you're all keeping the faith :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thanks for the welcome
shala-moo - I read a good article on the SW website about adapting recipes so I am hopeful that I wont just stick to meat and two veg. I try to work to 10 syns too, especially if cooking from scratch
maman - I like the sound of weekend wine syns! I don't always use the extra HEX but it does make cooking easier knowing I can include cheese or potatoes despite having milk/cereal breakfast.
Yesterday didn't quite go to plan but not in a bad way. Wholemeal toast does nothing for me and I think the butter is a waste of syns on something I didn't enjoy so I think that goes off the menu in future.
Carrot soup got changed into tomato soup - adapted a Delia one with worcestershire and tabasco which made it free. Took some inspiration from Hairy Dieters and did stuffed peppers rather than the raclette - lots of veg, pork, chipotle paste (a tablespoon is 0.5 syns, I can't take more than half a teaspoon!) and my cheese allowance baked in a red pepper. It was very nice. I also did OH a beef stroganoff with mushrooms, mustard and WW creme fraiche (0.5 syns per tablespoon so not too bad) but by then I was too full to bother.
I ended the evening with a Milky Way crispy roll embezzled from a distracted child. Another 6.5 syns there so need to keep my thieving fingers away from his stash.
I very much like Aldi sugar free caramels at 0.5 syns each. Had a few of those today.
Today
B- Muesli (HEXB) and Milk (HEXA)
L - Banana
D - Chicken, celariac mashed with 2 syns butter (yum - had forgotten how much I like this), sprouts and carrots
I have grapes if I get hungry again but I had a huge plate of veg so I should be ok.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Thanks Maman!
Thanks for your kind words! Yes I'm feeling quite positive at the minute which is great as the black dog comes to visit me frequently!
I hope this encourages some of the newbies to keep at it! If I can do it anyone can!
Go for it lantanna ! I am a firm believer that there is someone for every one and also truly believe things happen for a reason.
Yes, I understand about the black dog, especially this time of year too. I'm finding it hard to not comfort eat but each time I log on here I am inspired to keep going.
Thank you shala moo for the info on the first page, Although I have the books I found it reassuring to read through your post to check I understand the rules.
As a newbie to SW I am amazed at how delicious all the recipes are. I now have 3 different cook books and have also tried ones from the magazine and haven't had a duff one so far ( apart from SW chips which I find too dry )
Glad to see some newbies who like myself are new to all this !
Hope everyone has a good week - congrats to those with loses this week.
Half term for me now so some serious cupboard sorting and meal planning and batch cooking:T0 -

Merry Sunday, all.
Review of Saturday's menu
Breakfast: WW strawberry tart yogurt
Lunch: last of the broth, bacon sandwich, tomatoes potato scon - 3 syns, tomato sauce - 1 syn
Dinner: hmm that's a toughie, I'd like it to be cheesy ham pasta bake, but it is more likely to be a curry shared with OHless than half of chicken tikka masala - 7syns, teeny bit of naan - 2.5 syns, 3 pakora - 6 syns, a) because it will be after 6 when we get home, feeling hungry, lazy and no doubt scunnered by the result - lost 2-1, and b) because OH has been asking for a 'proper' curry for ages
Snacks: apple, chocolate digestive 3
Makes a huge total again - 22.5 syns
Like Mrs_Ryan, I'm blaming OH.
Mumoftwo - plain bread toasted is the food of the gods, especially the outsider!

Had a bit of a lie in this morning, which wasn't too bad, cause I'd got everything prepared for dinner yesterday all I had to do was cook it.
Kids wanted it for 2.30pm then they could go the park, I had to nip out for some cornflour, i'ts a 2 mins walk to the shop and by the time I'd gone (stopped talking for a couple of mins) and back he'd thrown all of the nicely fluffed maris pipers into the hot bubbling fat, forgetting to leave 2 or 3 our for me to spray with fry light and guess what no more spuds left.
doh fellas, so I ended up having loads of veg and 2 spuds and a but of gravy.
tea was fruit and fibre with milk and I'm now finishing off this half a bottle of wine.
only because I'm going to work hard the next 2 days to see if I can at least do a sts for wed night.........which I don't think.
good luck everyone.0 -

Went out for lunch for my Grandma's birthday today. Was determined to be good but there was only one veggie option and it was beetroot risotto. Decided to try it but it was awful. Weird tasting and a big dollop of oily green goop on top, which the waitress said was pesto but everyone tried it and agreed it was nothing like pesto. They spoke to the chef and the only other thing he could make me was a butternut squash and tomato pie so I agreed thinking I'd only eat the filling. When it arrived it was very cheesy so I ate a bit and ate the veggies that came with it and gave up. Refused pudding but then had a cupcake from the birthday cake tower. Lord knows what syns I've had but I've eaten nothing else today apart from breakfast.
