  • I'm veggie too so only do Green. You need the extra HEB and HEA for health reasons so definitely go for it Xx

Thanks please-let-me-be-lucky, I always syn my extra cheese and bread but if I switch to green I can incorporate it in

In other news, I had an Oats So Simple sachet of porridge for breakfast instead of weetabix, 6.5 syns!!!! I was expecting a couple but a bit gobsmacked by that.
  • Afternoon all - (it took me till now to catch up!! *phew* )

We had a birthday weekend (we always seem to have a birthday few days when it's my eldest's birthday...not sure why!!) and hubby and I had the M&S valentine's meal on Friday...and wine....and cake...and we're going out for dinner tonight...so the first time I've been off plan since the new year so not too bad...back on wagon tomorrow.

We're off on holidays from next wednesday so I'll be super good until then. Then I'll enjoy my holiday and then back on the wagon again!!

Hello to the new people :D
  • Afternoon!

I've been away for the weekend so been catcing up. I had gone away with good intentions of using my syns and then getting straight back on it. Couldn't count the syns as power went out within 2 hours of us being at our apartment so weekend got rather messed up and I ate what I fancied.

Doing red days until weigh in so hoping to rain it back in!

    xx

I've only ever followed EE but I'm veggie which is why it's quorn chilli. Do you guys think it would be worth me speaking to my consultant about switching to Green and get the extra HEA / HEB - I wouldn't say not to them to be honest!!

I really don't see the point on doing EE if you're a veggie, switch to Green PDQ! Your consultant really should have checked that with you.

:wave:to all the weekend posters. The thread's really busy at the moment so if you didn't get an answer to anything just shout!

I was off plan most of yesterday as had a lovely day out in London but back on the wagon today. Being half term, tis week's going to be a bit difficult to control but I'm planning to be as good as I can when I can.

    I'm another who has all 105 syns every week or if I don't it's a mistake!:D

I'm having a Green day today. It's a converted EE one as I reckoned that as I'm only having a little bit of ham (B) then I can use my HEAs (cheese and milk) to offset the syns in my cheese sauce this evening.

    So today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans
L: fried egg, fried potatoes and pickled onions
D: gammon, new potatoes, cauli/broccoli cheese
    Syns: some in cheese sauce

Thinking of you tie. Hopefully it's half term for you this week so you can pamper yourself a bit.:A

Hi everyone - hope you are all having a good day?

Lantanna - what weight kettlebell do you start with? They have them in Lidl but I am not sure if they are right weight wise.

    B- muesli and milk (HEX A & B)
    L - chicken, cucumber, banana
    D - ?

    Snacks, grapes and banana

Dinner is looking dangerous. Everyone else is having chicken pie with new potatoes and veg. I think I will have yet more cold chicken and lots of veg although I am tempted to make chicken and sweetcorn soup. 5 syns for 100g sweetcorn on original puts me off slightly but then I haven't used any so far today.

ooh Maman - I had forgotten pickled onions are free. Off to rummage in the cupboard and see what we have.

Hi, I have no idea what weight it was, but it was the smallest one there. There was a guy there who was lifting a beast of a thing - he was like young Robert Redford and I was in quite a flutter admiring him lol

I heard that about Lidl so must investigate them - if they are the same size as the one that I used I might invest!

hex, sweetcorn is only synned if you're trying to do a Red day. You've had plenty of veg and only one each of HEA and B so it could easily be EE then you can eat as much sweetcorn as you like. Why not have soup AD chicken with veg and new potatoes. I think your menu doesn't look much for a day's food so far and not a syn in sight! You could even afford to have pie unless you're saving the syns for another day.

I find pickled cabbage, onions, beetroot or cornichons are excellent for an extra bit of SF. My favourite are Sainsbury's pickled shallots in a spicy vinegar. Yummy!

I've been using Aldi canned new potatoes this week. At only 14p a can (39p per kg) they're an absolute bargain. I've used them sliced with fried eggs for my lunch and to give my frittata and bit of substance on Saturday and I've still got a few left so probably more frittata/hash tomorrow.

No, not yet, I think we're having a short break (from challenge not SW!) and then a new one up to Easter.
