oh, maman, thank you for highlighting the opportunity for a green day. I'll have to investigate that option for the future. Do you know, I hadn't even noticed it was a meat free day until you mentioned it!
Thanks for being a SW :A
BTW I had a STS today, so I am VERY surprised and pleased about that. BUT I am aware that a weight gain sometimes likes to ambush me the following week, so I'm going to have to be careful.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Lantanna - what weight kettlebell do you start with? They have them in Lidl but I am not sure if they are right weight wise.
QUOTE]
Hey, was looking at these on the Lidl website - the 2.5 kg one is probably what I was using the other night and trust me that was enough for me, It is probably worth picking up.
I might try and get two as some of the exercises you use two with. I could do a bit at home - now that I've been to the class and have seen what some of the exercises are. Not sure I'll be rushing back to the class for another while as I was in serious pain over the weekend.
Treadmill and bike for me for a while lol0 -
Its an excel programme I have Shala Moo, has taken a lot of input as I need to add SW recipes & ingredients to shopping list but now I just pick 7 meals for the week (in my case 4-5), tick which ingredients I use & it creates a shopping list, so well worth the effort.
Ohh i had a spreadsheet like this sent to me an age ago from one of the old style boards.. i never thought to use it for batch cooking.. i'll have to drag it out again!

Hi Shortie,
I do my own instant porridge too and skimmed milk powder is 1.5 syns for 2 tsps which is how much I use in mine for each portion.
Fab, thanks shala_moo The instant porridge is so handy to have in the drawer. I'll have to try and suss out how much milk powder there is in a portion (I've already made a huge tub of the stuff up) but great to know the amount per 2 tspsApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
I am still trying to psych myself up to going back to SW.
The thought of food diaries, listening to stories of "I ate a Chinese, an Indian and had fish and chips this week and still lost 2 lbs." is seriously depressing me. I just can't get my head right about all this.0 -
Daisy2014 - I reckon I've got a download someone on my iPod of that Couch to 5km thingy!! Thank you for reminding me! Great idea.0

Just to throw my opinion in! lol
Change your signature - take the first bit out. You've lost one stone 3 lbs - well done, I think saying what you did have is bound to demotivate you. Forget it its gone. Start afresh with your 1 stone 3 lbs loss. Your still over a stone off from where you started and some people would love to have that off but never got off the starting tracks. So you are doing fab! For most people the first stone is the hardest as it requires such a change - so many people yo - yo up and down through that first stone and never get any further - your over that hurdle - keep going.
Think really hard about why you want to loose weight and plan for tomorrow - see if you can stick to it for one day tomorrow and then take it from there. Once you get one good day over you again it will seem easier. When I get fed up / frustrated I find the best motivation for me is to think of the bigger clothes that are too big now and the smaller ones that I can't wait to get in to. You are bound to have some too big clothes with your loss.
It would be really easy to go backwards - but draw a line now and say to yourself that you can do this! Also I find reading the SW Mags in bulk helps to remotivate me, I look at some of the people in the mags and think they are truly inspirational - it also helps if you have something to work to - for example half a stone off for a holiday etc. I watch all the rubbish of the day like MTV I used to be fat, Jessie Palvekas shows, any random weightloss programmes or progs about obesity as I find it helps ingrain it all in my brain lol. It also reminds me of the slippery slope I'm on.
We all probably agree that there can be a lot of tripe in group a lot of the time my eyes certainly glaze over and I wish the totally unhelpful peops would be quiet - but take out of it what you want to or can. Nearly every week I walk into it thinking I want a Chinese or Chippy after this - only twice in 10 months have I done that. If I didn't stay I'd probably be having one every week!!!!!
Chin up and get back on it xx0 -
That's really well said Lantanna. X
I have days were I feel really cross with myself,i lost 3 & 1/2 stone a few years ago, all back on and some. Why did I let myself go? but then have to take a big deep breath, and chant my own motivating lecture.... I can change this, I will change this, only I hold that power.
I don't need to be thin to be happy, I am already happy but being thin will be the icing on the cake (please excuse the metaphor)
