IMO, a guy that thinks its ok to respond with 'chill' is never going to take other peoples feelings too seriously, so I reckon its a lucky escape.

Right, I have a bone to pick with you guys. I've been doing this since December, and not once have any of you said 'Trow, have you tried shape apple crumble yogurt yet? They seem really indulgent but are only half a syn!'

They are my new favourite thing! (Not tried the rhubarb ones yet, looking forward to that!)
  • Evening all!

Lantanna - chill - seriously?! Pfft!

Tried some syn free pancakes tonight ahead of tomorrow being Shrove Tuesday. Not bad at all (served mine with chopped strawberries and a dollop of Activia Cherry yogurt).

    Ingredients (makes 2 pancakes)

    6 tbsp sweetener
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 egg
    Fry Light

    Instructions

Separate the egg yolk and egg white into separate bowls
Add 3 tbsp of sweetener to the egg white. Using an electric mixer, whisk up the egg white until it makes stiff peaks
Add the vanilla extract and the rest of the sweetener to the egg yolk and mix well.
Fold the egg yolk into the egg white mixture
Spray a pan with Fry Light and pour half the mixture into the pan. After a few minutes flip the pancake over,
Take the pancake out a few minutes later, and repeat the cooking process with the rest of the mixture.
Serve them up with your favourite pancake topping and enjoy!

    Hi again.
Mildredd, as you always remind us (at least it's the spirit I take from what you say), life is for living, so do just that and when you're ready for a break then get back on plan. Oh, just saw your fab loss - everything comes to she who waits (I'm waiting sort of patiently)

lantanna - everyone has said everything that's worth saying about daft man. Well done re sotm.

trow - my favourite was the pear crumble. SM didn't have any when I went in :(

    Review of Monday's plan:
    Breakfast: yogurt and fruit (apple)
Lunch: out with friend (hope I don't spoil things for WI on Tuesday) parsnip and brie soup and lovely bread (very tasty, don't think there was much brie in it) pork fillets with mash, creamy leeks, 1 mangetout, 3 carrot and 2 swede cubes and 1 wafer thin piece of something green, perhaps courgette lol - I didn't eat fat on pork , left most of the mash and leek sauce :A tea and 10p size piece of shortbread - I'm guessing about 13 syns (
Dinner: hexa cheese & onion pie from mag made with carrots and green beans and I used reduced fat cheese instead of standard, so trying to offset lunch a wee bit - it was ok but I don't think I'll make it again - grapes
Snacks - none so far, prob couple of Alpen light bars as I've not had hexb yet

    Total: about 13 syns

    Tuesday's Plan - the gang's all here
Breakfast: fruit, ff Greek yogurt, baked beans & quorn sausages (frozen ones)
    Lunch: mushroom omelette
Dinner: smoked haddock gratin (using hexb bread, spinach, tomatoes), stir fried cabbage, HM pancake (will need to work out syns) with fruit and ff Greek yogurt

    WI tomorrow.

Evening all, well I had my first official weigh in tonight:

    -4LB

I'm very pleased with that, though I do think some of it will be down to wearing leggins not jeans, it's slightly less on my own scales, but will take the result!

Had a very nice celebratory curly whurly tonight out of my syns for the day.

So on to week 2. This will be harder as I'm off home to mum and dads this weekend, which usually involves a lot of coffee shops and eating out!
