Can't remember who is was that has asked earlier (it's taken me so long to catch up just from this morning!) but someone asked for a tomato based curry recipe so here goes....
Chicken Jalfrezi (serves 4)
4 Chicken Breasts
1 Onion
1 Red and 1 Yellow Pepper
2 Garlic Cloves
1 to 2.5 inch of Fresh Root Ginger
Fry Light
1 tbsp Medium Curry Powder
1 tsp of Ground Cumin
1 tsp of Ground Coriander
Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Handful of Fresh Coriander
400g Tin of Tomatoes
Cut the chicken into strips, finely slice the onions and slice peppers. Crush the garlic and grate the ginger.
Spray your pan with Fry Light and cook the onion, peppers, garlic and ginger for around 6 - 8 mins. Add the curry powder ground cumin and coriander, salt and black pepper and stir fry for a futher 1 - 2 mins.
Add the chicken and cook for a further 4 - 5 mins. Roughly chop the fresh coriander and stir into the pan with the tomatoes and 100ml of water. Cover the pan and simmer for around 15 mins until the chicken is tender.
I've not personally tried this but it seems to have everything you asked for, ie; tomato based non creamy curry with vegetables....let us know if it's a good one0 -
Well I'm stuffed, in the best possible way of course!!
Hubbster has just cooked up a fab fry up....Eggs, Linda Mc Sausages, Quorn bacon, Leeks, Mushrooms, and beans
Macpec we have spent some time earlier today updating your spread sheet with some of our own recipes and adding them to the shopping lists. I'm sure this is going to be a fantastic tool that we are going to use an awful lot in the future. Thanks again :T0 -
Shala, could you please add me to the Easter challenge, I'm going for a conservative 7lb as it's my birthday in just over a week and I have meal out next Sunday and as I've only just started back I'm not sure how my losses will be yet. Thanks :T0

Evening all
Knicker shopping was successful!! I now possess 8 pairs of various different coloured shorts from PrimarniI think OH lost the will to live :rotfl: I was, as usual, unsure about sizing but for the first time I stopped to look properly at everything and when I got home and tried everything on, it all fitted fine and nothing needs to go back :j
My haul was: a beautiful sombre, soft grey lace dress with belt from Primarni (size 16 and fits like a glove) with a black jacket (also size 16) with white trim which I am going to wear to the funeral on Wednesday. I can hear my friend clearly saying 'it took my funeral to get you into a dress!' But I know she would have loved it as much as me. It's absolutely gorgeous and not the sort of thing I would have worn when I was bigger so a bit of a chance but I think the right one.
2nd was an oriental print black skater dress to replace the tunic I had got for my rugby club sponsors dinnerso gutted I had to take it back
but it's replacement is a nice snugly fitting size 14 :j and the black jeans underneath it are a 16 :j
3rd was these http://m.hollisterco.com/shop/uk/bettys-featured-items-sale/hollister-vintage-skinny-sweatpants-1839145 reduced to £16 and a very comfy size 14 (I prefer my joggers smaller now) plus a men's Hollister sweatshirt and t-shirt also in the sale. Hollister is one of those shops that I would never have dared venture into when I was bigger now I wander in quite happily. I'm developing quite a collection of Hollister stuff and not one thing I've paid full price for(I love sales and charity shops
)
So here is today's menu:
B: HiFi Rocky Road x 2 (HEXB) coffee with HEXA milk
L: Cafe Rouge Salmon Niçoise salad without the dressing- 1 syn on 8 olives but superfree/free otherwise, Diet Coke
T: Big jacket potato with a little spread (1.5 syns) tuna, ham and beans. HiFi bar and Mullerlight (3 syns)7Up Free and NAS cordial
S: Tikka MugShot (2 syns) NAS cordial.
Syns: 7.5
Body Magic: 2.5 miles round Meadowhall shops.
Hope everyone's ok xx*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
Ok, menu plan for tomorrow done and it is:
B: fat free yogurt & fruit
L: jacket potato & cottage cheesebeef stew with loads of veggies, wholemeal bread (hexb)
Hexa will be milk in drinks throughout the day. Snacks will be cold meats & pickles.
Have also put together my syn bin. I get weighed tomorrow, so will start my week tomorrow too and going to try working my syns over the week. Can't quite believe how much I have in my syn bin and it is only worth 62 syns.
Had baked apple with mincemeat this evening as my hexb and it was delicious! Feeling much better after my little wobble this morning and have actually eaten loads today, but mostly free foods. In fact, it feels a little too good to be true! Can it really be working when I have eaten so much??0 -
Evening. Great to see everyone so chatty.
Mildredd, thanks for the encouragement & positive thoughts. It's much appreciated.
Daisy - I hope your interview went well.
macpep, I love that syn bin idea. I'd probably eat everything at once, then just have something else when the fancy took me. Nae willpower, that's me.
lantanna, I hope your date is on. I really like that top.

Morning Humans
Right, hopped on the scales, and I'm 15st 4.5lb (so right back up in the 15's again) Still hard to believe that I was 12 something just before Christmas. I spent 2 months stuffing / trying / stuffing / trying ~ I need to try consistently, as that's the only way to succeed.
Not gonna pledge to post each day, I just can't keep up. But I'll read when I can as you all inspire me, and I'll give it a good go this time
SO, I want to be 13st 7lb on my birthday, which is Easter Sunday, so that means my target is 1st 11lb, or 25lb  Gosh, that's gonna be tough, but I can do it. After the amount I ate yesterday, reckon I could poo 7lb in the next 24 hours at least
Have a nice daySay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Here's the challenge list!
If anyone hasn't joined that wants to then give me a shout.. it's a 7 week challenge - running until Easter Sunday.. use this weeks weigh in as your start weight for the challenge and then next week will be your week 1 result.
Can I just remind everyone to give me their results in a different colour and bold so I can see it! If you could state which week the result is then that would be great too!
Good luck xxx

greentiger - I don't know if you realise but you get 4 original Ryvita not 3 for your HEB - you're doing yourself out of the extra one by only having 3. You could have had the extra one instead of the 2 cream crackers you had for your syns and then would have had only 8 syns:T so an extra 4 to have had later in the week!
