Welcome to the thread, why don't you make up your own wee treat box (syn bin). I done this last year, made box up to around 90 syns, put in the weekend wine, then made up box of crisps, biscuits, curly wurlys, freddos etc, I would keep aside some syns for gravy/sauces/dressing etc, that way when its gone its gone & you have no more left. Or if you dont use all syns on other things then you can sneak in another wee packet of crisps/chocolate :D

Thank you. Thats a really good idea. I have noticed a few people on here seem to work out syns over a week instead of per day, which appeals to me.

I tend to save mine for the weekend, everyone is different though but I have been getting losses, albeit small ones but I am happy with that, as long as its coming off! :D

  • I think I will try that. I dont have a lot to lose, I just want to drop one dress size (as I am determined not to have to buy a whole new wardrobe) so I would be quite happy with small losses.

    Welcome Welshkitty!

You will find this forum great! Loads of lovely people and great advice - its part of my daily routine now to come on here and rant (amongst other things lol) :rotfl:

I can totally understand not going to group - though I do go but fingers crossed getting to target and having to not pay I'm hoping will happen in a couple of months. A lot of us don't get that much out of group anyway and the image therapy can be a bit tedious to say the least. Someone actually came up to me last night in group and asked me what did I weigh when I began!!! I kind of thought it was a strange question as what does it matter what the figure was - I've lost what I've lost whatever way you look at it!!

Anything you want to ask - ask away someone will always be along to help! :T

Folks - The date could be back on :rotfl:

He says he has man flu - I asked him would he like to cancel it or wait and see how he feels tomorrow. He said wait and see - so that's how it is left. I would sincerely hope if he had no intention of going now he would have just said today. If he is telling the truth and he does have it and its not the FB thing then fair enough.

So anyway if it does go ahead at least there will be no kissing to worry about lol as I don't want the flu!!!

I'm going to reward myself with a glass of wine tonight after kettle bells - I have a bottle here that someone bought me for Xmas that I forgot about! Could end up being the bottle but sure !!

Lantanna, I know you don't normally post your menus but would you be able to share a typical day's menu as you have done so well and would love to achieve what you and the others have done but am struggling!

  • Thanks lantanna (and good luck with the date!). I actually found the forum a few days ago but it has taken me until this morning to read through all the posts. I must say you do seem to be a lovely bunch so I am hoping I will get on just fine.

Good luck on the date lantanna ;) - hope it all goes well for you.

I tend to save my syns too welshkitty - I usually only have about 3-5 per day and save the rest for weekend wine . I also do a meal plan which includes all my meals - I do think it helps to stop you going too far 'off-track'.

Also have job interview this afternoon, its for a job at the local bingo!! It's only part time but I've applied to go back to college after the summer so this would work out perfectly for that. Fingers crossed because I would be on my feet all the time so that would def help the losses as well.

    Today is a green day......

B: Weetabix, milk, banana (HEXA & HEXB)
L: 2x mugshot, fruit and yog
D: Chilli cheese dogs, rice (cheese is HEXB2)

Snacks: Choc mousse (6) Hifi Bar (6) yog and sf jelly

    Have a great day guys!!xx

Hope the interview went well. Most cheese is HEA but it doesn't matter as you have two of each allowed on Green if you want them.

Maman - well remembered - I'm out on Sunday this week and at a party next Saturday... I've ordered skinny jeans eep to wear for both. Have heels for the party but I've ordered some new ones because I feel like I deserve new heels ;) cxx currently debating a couple of tops to buy... Think ill be going with one from new look though - even if I did spend ages on the inspire range of the website before realising it wouldn't fit :/
Struggling to think of myself as smaller? I knew what suited my bigger size and would stick to the same cuts of tops etc now I'm totally lost :/

Planning on making a hotpot for tomorrow night so there will be leftovers for Sunday evening after a frankie and bennys lunch...
Lunch tomorrow will be a salad or something heavy sf :) xxx

Agree you deserve new heels. Outfit sounds very trendy.:)

Is that Lancashire hotpot? I'm on the look out for new (to me) recipes. Would someone share a basic chicken curry recipe. I like tomato based curry not creamy and put in plenty of veg as well as the chicken. I bought one of Aldi's FR chickens today and I'm determined not to just gobble the leftovers so I want to make a curry.

Hope you enjoy your roast kitty and hopefully you won't feel hungry after that.

I am saving myself for hubbys birthday dinner tomorrow & plan on doing the cheesecake from the SW website, hubby will have cream with his, and I will just have FF crème fraiche.

Is that free? I generally have 0% Total as a cream substitute.

Frylight Olive Oil was on special at £1.50 in Aldi today, not sure if it's in all stores.

    Sw hash browns
    - peel and grate a potato (squeeze excess liquid out of potatoes) leave to dry for a few mins , (i now add finely chopped red onion yk mine?) add a beaten egg and let it sit for a few mins shape into rounds or hashbrown shapes (u do have to sort of squeeze some of the egg out of the grated potato) then I just add mine to a fry lighted pan and let them brown on either side then I make sure there fully cooked by putting in the oven :) xx can add cheese to the raw mix if its a main meal accompaniment?
