Well I am back from my group and it was very interesting.
The consultant seems lovely, and has a good sense of humour which is good. A few things that got me was her way of explaining plan to me (again!) she said that super free and free foods need to make up 1/2 your plate, and she wants us to only use 10 syns instead of 15. She said it is absolutely our choice but she said this is what get better results.
If group is anything to go by I'll believe her, it was packed and so noisey I felt a bit shy so was glad to have my sister there for support, she did all the talking thank goodness!! There were 3 people I counted that had lost over 6 stone, one lady had been going a year and had lost 11 stone!! So the consultant must be doing something right - so all in all a positive experience and more importantly I am raring to go.
Well done Annie on SOTM, that really is a great weight loss! Well done to all the other losers
Fab news about your date Lantanna, but I agree we want to hear more. I met my husband online 11 years ago now so I know internet dating can work!

Trying to maintain some semblance of normality so here is my menu for today and I'll say my thanks afterwards as I have so much to say to you all!
B: Frozen mixed fruit, raspberry Mullerlight. Pint of NAS cordial
L: SW carbonara made with HEXA Laughing Cow light blue cheese, HEXB HiFi Rocky Road bars x 2, NAS cordial
T: Big jacket potato with a scraping of spread (2 syns) tuna, beans, steamed carrots, sprouts, broccoli, 2 x apples
S: Cup of Options (2 syns) with Sainsbury's sugar free marshmallows (3.5)
Total: 7.5 syns
Body Magic: 4.2 mile walk
I'm overwhelmed at everyone's kindness and concern. Thank you especially to lucky-legs for the beautiful poems- I have to confess to sobbing my heart out when I read them but being a literature student at the moment I am especially grateful to see such beautiful poetry right now. I have made the decision to attend her funeral as I couldn't not say goodbye. As I've said she was a very dear friend and I will never forget her and the impression she made on my life.
Thanks again everyone and I'll speak to you all again soon.

I think I'd like to say I'll join the challenge if I may Shala? I'm a bit embarrassed about saying I will, because I've done so badly the last 2 times, I've put weight on, and lots of it!
I shall hop on the scales on Saturday, but it might be a one off, and just have another peek at the end. Weekly weighing gets me down
It's very cold outside, now off to walk the hounds, have a good day people...Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

I have the exact same worry about the challenge, Frogga. One day at a time right.
Yesterday...so much **** hit the fan, I took solace in almost healthy options of fruit snacks. Got real cross cauze the skinny lizzy's sausages that used to be 1 syn each, and require a massive trip out of my way, are now 2...and as such took me over syn count. The wine and cheese won't have helped.
I guess it serves me right for not planning in the morning, would have had not the morning started with such a strop and melodrama.
Hubby sabotages too, I had this problem before.I spy an up hill struggle.
One day at a time.
Welcome returnees, well done to everyone that has lost, sts, and just plain turned up for the wi. Takes some doing some weeks.
Mrs Ryan - sorry for your loss. They are however only 'lost' if you forget.0 -
Welcome lucky-legs
Good losses Annie, toomuchworry :T
Becks - glad you enjoyed your group, i think you can always tell a good consultant by the amount of people that go (and stay) to class! Sounds like you have a fun one!
Frogga - of course you can join the challenge, have you a target or shall i just put "loss"?millionaire_in_training wrote: »Day 1

I've picked up everyone's targets to here... i'll post the chart later as i'm at work at the minute..Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Morning all
So sorry for your loss MrsRyan -your friend was lucky to have such good friends and she was obviously very special to have made such an impact on you and her other friends. Im sure there will be many more tears but also lots of smiles when you think of her and the things you did together. Take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself.....
Helloooooo to the new joiners :hello: and well done on the losses and NSVs folks :T
I have got up this morning feeling more tired than when I went to bed *hmpppph* -we moved our bed into the other room last night and oh lord -I went to bed at 10:30pm and was still awake at 2:20am  -a combination of it being far to hot in there - the boiler keep doing an impression of a jet engine, hubby snoring like a giant wart hog trapped in a metal dustbin -wearing clogs and playing the drums, and then the baby alarm flashing everytime charlie moved (which like his mummy is A LOT) -then hubbies alarm went off at 5am .............. tonight I may just find a quieter spot - on the central reservation of the M1 :rotfl:"and breathe" -ok - rant over
Hopefully today when hubby gets in I can get some more sorting done -Charlies room first and then hopefully ours can get finished -it's mainly putting things away now -and finding homes for many many many things that don't have one right now -still it's all body magic I guess
Becks -sounds like you have found a good group there -we have one right at the bottom of our street and I have joined twice but I really have found it more distracting than anything else-I know that often they suggest new joiners stick to 10 syns a day as it allows for slip ups and now measuring accurately.
I have NO idea what to do about meals today -I have no interest at all right now....am I the only one who is this way around star week? I actually eat less as I feel bloated and food really doesn't appeal to me .... think Im a bit of an odd bod :rotfl:
anyhoo -I have made myself have breakfast -so it's a start lol
1 oat so simple (hexA hexB + 2 syns)
I will do red or green today so my other 2 hexA will be 500ml semi and my hexB will be a pack of ryvita minis this evening if Im hungry -as for everything else in between -I guess I will make it up as I go along
right I had better get off again..have a good day everyone...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Mrs Ryan – Really sorry to hear about your friend. Take each day as it comes and enjoy the memories. In the past I found that it helped me to make a memory book when I was ready and it wasn’t too painful, I wrote down memories of the person, times we had shared etc – laughs we have had – whatever was special to the two of you! Its lovely know to get it out every so often and look at it as as time passes you forget so much. It’s a bit therapeutic as well.
Frogga – You’re a bad frog, no the bra code went straight over my head!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t do anything about it at the minute anyway as I am seriously skint!
Lucky Legs – Love those poems – I lost my little dog last year and the first poem in particular was lovely and made me think of her.
Wi for me tonight, hoping for anything at all off – after last weeks 4.5 lbs off I’d take a 0.5 lb happily! Will see later on!
You can fairly see the change in the way the men in work are getting on with me since I’ve lost the weight – they’re all over me like a rash and its sad really as I’m still the same person!
