    Hi everyone

Sorry I have been AWOL for a while - have been reading but not posting.

Lost the plot a bit for a while :o have not been properly 'on plan'. Luckily enough no damage done on the scales but have felt really sluggish the past couple of weeks.

Seem to have got my head in a better place at the moment and am getting back on track.

Shala - can I set an STS for the challenge please?

Mrs Ryan - so sorry to hear your news - take care x

With regard to the meal planning - I always do a weekly plan and a more general, slightly flexible one for the month which gets finalised depending what I manage to pick up on special offer on my weekly shop :D.

Looking forward to my Zumba class tonight - I also bought a kettlebell at the weekend and am waiting for DVD to arrive - have tried a few exercises that came with the kettlebell and can already feel a difference in body toning :T

Welcome to all the newbies and hugs to those that need them x
  • Stayed the same this week, not surprising really, I didn't do enough of the right stuff and done a wee bit of the wrong stuff.

Frogga - I just saw you outside, I shouted hello but you hopped away into the hedge.. :(

Oh my God was that you? I'm sorry Shala, I had my head up my bum and was in a world of my own. Busy busy rushing around, I'll stop for a chat next time

I feel guilty giving you that Bra code Lantana, I was joking, I had no idea what it was, when I said it was 80085, I was being silly (it looks like BOOBS) :o Hope you didn't try it and look a wally when it didn't work? I thought you'd 'get it' but humans are a bit thick are they not :D

MrsRyan ~ I'm really sorry to hear your news. I don't like thinking of you as sad tonight. You always make me smile when I see your picture. I'm very little, (obviously, Frogs are no more than a few inches) and so it's hard to see your picture properly, but it always looks to me like you have a lovely big black bushy beard :D You look very friendly :)

  • Hi all, not sure if anyone will remember me but I used to be quite active on here this time last year. That was before my world fell apart...or at least I thought it had...that was until the summer when it really did fall apart and things went from bad to much worse. However, although my world is still not quite fully back on its axis, we can now see the light at the end of the tunnel.

So with that said, I managed to maintain my weight at what it was (around 2 stone heavier than I would like) (hmmm I thought stress made you lose weight??! LOL). Anyway as from Monday I've been watching what I eat and although not strictly a SW plan I've been using all my old recipes. Macpep I've even dug out the fantastic spread sheet you sent me, thanks.

Hope to be able to pop in and say hello most days and make some new friends xxx

Thank you everyone for your kind words, they are much appreciated. Thank you Frogga- you are a very kind frog :)
I'm just numb and headachy from crying but she was a lovely, lively person and I knew she would not have wanted me to cry. Last time we spoke she told me how fantastic my weight loss was and so I'm determined to keep going now. I will miss her so much, we used to talk for hours on the phone and she was a very good friend to me- her husband has thanked both myself and my best friend for being such good friends to her and he knew how much she valued our friendship. This is the first time I've ever lost a close friend and I'm struggling a little :( but I really appreciate you all being here for me- thank you xxx

  • Sorry to hear your sad news Mrs Ryan.

I will read through all posts to catch up on everyone's news. I haven't been on for a few days and missed about 10 pages worth!!

Another half pound off for me this week which is amazing as I have been off plan more than on - just think what I could lose if I stuck to it properly, but I am happy to take it slow and enjoy my social life still.
  • Sorry to hear your sad news Mrs Ryan, there are a couple of poems that always help me at times like these...

    God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
    and whispered,
    "Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
    and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

    A Golden heart stopped beating
    hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove us
    he only takes the best

    And...

    A rose once grew
    where all could see,
    sheltered beside
    a garden wall,
    And as the days passed
    swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall....

One day, a beam of light
    shone through
    a crevice that had
    opened wide ~
    The rose bent gently
    toward its warmth
    then passed beyond
    to the other side

    Now, you who deeply
    feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
    Its beauty even greater now,
    nurtured by
    God's own loving care.

Hope these help to soothe your pain xxx
