Been having a good read of the feature section on line to motivate
myself and try to prepare so as not to fall back into stuffing my face
with high syn nibbles, I came across this which I think will help me cope with the horrible guilt if I do over indulge.

    Flexible Syns

Most slimmers are happy with the idea of cutting down beforehand or compensating afterwards. Maybe that's because they can see the logic of it, or because they feel they must 'pay' or suffer for their pleasures. But at Slimming World we don't believe in suffering! We take flexibility much further: we believe that sometimes flexibility means doubling or even trebling your Syns for the day - without paying!

I suppose this is how I work; if I go over my syns and it wasn't planned i just dust myself off and get back on it the next meal (or next day depending where I lost track)

Do you put the pickled onion and a dash of Worcester sauce in, it really makes a difference.:

I did and it still wasn't quite right, too 'beany' for sure :/

busy day yesterday then today have been helping out our playgroup leader with a stand at the local cricket club gala :) mostly on plan but i did end up eating a little Easter egg shell last night :/ probably over my syns ever so slightly today too but should be ok

went to weigh myself today and one chemist was closed and the other wouldn't let me as a particular member of staff was on their lunch (total joke!) do feel like I've had a slightly better week though; will weigh on Monday to find out. two things I am finding though is that I'm pretty constipated (sorry waaaay too much tmi) and I'm battling with getting disheartened as my weight isn't really shifting :( keeping going thought at least for now

You know, I bet you could. Ive just bought a couple of really pretty 'taggy' blankets from ebay. They were relatively expensive for what they were, and I know I should have been able to knock some up myself but I'm about as creative as a brick wall.

The bibdanas I'm assuming are the triangular shaped bibs all the trendy babes are sporting these days? I'm sure, in pretty, creative colours and materials you could sell them.....why not give it a try for a couple of months before you have to go back to work? I'll be your first customer :D

You're very kind consultant; I've seen those taggies online and thought of giving them a go as they seem very very expensive for what they are. I presume they are just fleece sides with 'tags' of different (colours and textures) ribbon round the sides?

You're spot on with the bibs, I just use bibdanas as otherwise I get confused with 'traditional' bibs. I make them wider than they are deep and they cotton fronted but terry backed. The ones I made the other day are pink with a red polka dot and red with a white polka dot but I have other fabrics in too :) and they are popper fastened. I wouldn't have a clue where to start with pricing anything I make etc though!

Went to a usa themed bbq yesterday. Made a stars and stripes from bits of melon, strawberry and blueberries on wooden skewers. Very effective, easy, yummy and of course superfree :-)
Someone else had made kebabs from red and yellow cherry toms and salmon. I ate quite a few of those along with salad so had no probs avoiding hot dogs and bread rolls :P Had one piece of apple pie made by the host's mom who was over from usa for the week.
Missed weigh in last week as was away with work. Fingers crossed for tomoz (had put 3 pounds on previous to that on hoibags hiss boo)

    Hello all,

much quieter day today and wonder bairn has in fact been asleep since just before 10am but I haven't been able to put her down without tears from her so have kept her close until now when I've been able but her down, got the washing machine on though so keeping her in the living room so I can hear if she stirs

Today for me looks like this:
Breakfast; scrambled egg, baked beans and toast (1/2 HeB) tea (milk from HeA)- I've never really made good scrambled eggs but yesterday and today they were lovely and came out of the microwave perfect :)
Snack: banana, tea (milk from HeA)
Lunch: Ham sammich (1 slice of bread, 2nd 1/2 HeB), total 0% with sliced apple, kiwi chunks
Snack: fresh pineapple chunks, 2 satsumas, peppermint tea
Tea: take away as bf is getting home late; I will have chicken and give my chips to bf

Body magic wise I need to vac through the bungalow (haha I make it sound massive, only 3 rooms are fully carpeted and a small section of the hall!) clean the bathroom, straighten the kitchen and sort out everything under wonder bairns cot bed (bf has 6 boxes of innertubes under there and teh smell of teh rubber is doing my head in so I've bought some under bed storage boxes to try and trap it in haha)...could do with starting to tackle the ironing but I can't get the enthusiasm together...maybe when I'm waiting for bf later

well I should stop procrastinating and watching Ghost Adventures I suppose! hehe
