Top Dad is home :j
He got home last night, turns out it was a heart attack he had out there so he had to have a doctor from over here flown out to fly back with him.
He will see a doctor in the week to find out where they go from here.
It's a weight off my mind anyway so I'm going out to celebrate, mostly SW style.
Have a lovely weekend all :j0 -

Enjoy your celebration, it must be a great relief to have him home at least.Slimming World at target0 -
Hi all
Sorry for my rant yesterday.
I'm not very well at all at the moment and I guess my outlook and priorities are a little skewed.
Going to take a break for a while

Sorry you are not well love and wanted to thank you for your post about different wigs and confusing people, I showed my friend and she really laughed. We are now planning an afternoon out trying on wigs and taking photos of ourselves.
Hope you feel better soon and come back.Slimming World at target0 -

Really pleased to see the price of fruit and veg coming down, if you shop around that is, Asda is still top dollar so will give them a miss.
Morrisons have a 12 punnet of doughnut peaches 3 for £2. 36 peaches., 5.5p each cant be bad, when you get fed up of eating them fresh (as if) they freeze beautifully. Also got lettuce and cucumber at 49p. each and celery at 69p.
Aldi have really nice cherries at 69p for 200grms.
I bought strawberry and grapes on the local market, 79p for 400grms lovely sweet tasty strawberries, they are small but much tasty than the bigger ones in supermarket and 99p for 400grms grapes. green and red.
My HM grown raspberries are just overloaded, although the gooseberry bush seems to be sulking, have had just 3 berrys this year.
No excuse now for not getting my 5 a daySlimming World at target0 -

Realised I've had no HeB yet today and hadn't planned one, think I will have some toast at supper time with 1 syn of jammust make sure I have my full HeA too
I've been distracted all morning with my fresh inspiration/motivation to crack on with sewing projects so haven't snacked or anything (or even thought about food if I'm honest until after 2pm)! Just need to harness this motivation everyday and work through some project ideas now
Do you put the pickled onion and a dash of Worcester sauce in, it really makes a difference. I am thinking of using a can of spagetti instead of beans, think it might be more environmental friendly,

Nothing to apologise for MrsR. You're welcome to rant all you want. Be back soon!Flexible Syns
Most slimmers are happy with the idea of cutting down beforehand or compensating afterwards. Maybe that's because they can see the logic of it, or because they feel they must 'pay' or suffer for their pleasures. But at Slimming World we don't believe in suffering! We take flexibility much further: we believe that sometimes flexibility means doubling or even trebling your Syns for the day - without paying!
I've never really got my head round the official version of flexible synning. I suppose the principle is that that they are encouraging you to get back on plan ASAP after any blow outs on special occasions. I can agree with that but in other ways, I have had to adapt SW to fit in with my real life. To me, the idea of saying I'll have 60 syns on Saturday, not count them and then get back to plan knowing that I'm extremely unlikely to lose is crazy. If I did that every time I went out for a meal I'd never lose anything! I'm much happier with my syn bank. It works for me because I'm perfectly happy to eat low syn/syn free meals most of the time and then enjoy my wine syns and meals out. I don't feel deprived. I feel I'm keeping my treats for when I really want them.
A bit like lantanna was saying this week, while SW has given me a structure of healthy eating I hate some of the other bits that go with it. It's a bit like telling children 'do as you're told!!'.
Sorry, that's turned into a bit of a rant.:o
We're having a roast tonight and I'm really looking forward to it. It's one of my favourite meals and I haven't had one for three weeks because of holiday.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: frittata/Spanish omelette (peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes) with cornichonschicken, roast potatoes and parsnips, cauli, broccoli, carrots
Syns: scrape of spread, gravy, bit of stuffing, weekend wine:j0 -
Been out for day 2 of Couch to 5 today, happy to have gone a little further
Then came home and did 20 min of fitness ball.
Dinner tonight is haddock with garlic Philly light wrapper in bacon with crispy paprika potatoes and veg. Can't wait!
Cooling down with a hea skinny iced latte now
Glad your dad is home safely, Top Girl :T0
