I have had a good day. Still astonished with my loss at class last night. After only losing 1 1/2 lb on first week I had got it into my head that big losses weren't for me.
Today I had:
bran flakes (heb) banana, milk (should probably syn it)
Soya milk in coffee (eh)
About 10 bowls of scotch broth. (I read an academic study that showed people who ate barley, lost more weight).
Muller light and a greek yoghurt.
raspberries, blueberries
lamb and lots of roasted garlic.
2 teaspoons honey (2 syns)

PS Can anyone recommend a good thing to eat at Carluccios? I'm going there on Sunday. Was thinking steak and potatoes as the pasta could be fresh pasta so high in syns.
Any advice would be gratefully received. I eat out a lot and can see that it is going to be a bit of a killer on slimming world.24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Had really bad news from the friend I kept company last weekend, The reason she was so down was that she had to see consultant re tests she`d had done, she saw him today and it is cancer. Not looking good.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend Meg, it's very sad. You can only be there when she wants to vent, but don't forget to look after yourself and eat as well as you can to give you the strength to be the friend you want to be.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Meg - so sorry to hear the news about your friend. As others have said feel free to post as much as you need to. You are a good friend.
Maman - welcome back. I always feel the same when I get back from holidays, my trousers always feel tighter than I like! I always get back from holidays on a Sunday so have 4 days to pull back as much as possible before WI, don't think I'd WI if I came back on a Wednesday though!
Another EE day for me today:
B - banana, cherries, strawberries, grapes (after WI)
L - tuna crunch sandwich (tuna with chopped veg stirred through it with a Tbs of LTL mayo
D - liver, bacon, mash, onions, mushrooms
Will be back later with how I've done after WI.

ANNIE - I think my target has been missed off the chart. Please could you put me down for 8lb. I weigh in on a Saturday. Not sure if I'll manage that as I'll be on holiday during that time but that is ideally how much I'd like to lose.
Back on plan today with EE Menu:
B: Shreddies, cherries & ff yoghurt.
L: Roasted veg pasta, sprinkling of cheese. FruitLasagne (5 syns for cheese & 5 for mince, erring on the side of caution), fruit.
Milk for tea.
BM: 1hr Callanetics.
Syn Bank: 5
Going with DD1 to pick up her very first car this morning.Weight loss 0/2st
Inch loss = 0"

Hi Maman welcome back Hope you had a good holiday . Where did you go?
You were very much missed, but your'e back now and back on the straight and narrow. I have been behaving myself and just about managed a pound.
I also think that by riding my stationary bike has done my siatica good, it has gone now. I am still doing it as it may help my arthritis and help towards losing a bit more. I feel better anyway.:T0 -
Meg - thanks for the link and so sorry about your news - in some ways it can be harder to be supporting those going through it than going through it yourself. Make sure you take care of you throughout all that is going on, you are right that going off track won't help you feel better, but equally sometimes needs must.

So sorry to hear the news of your friends diagnosis Meg my mum had breast cancer when I was younger and had quite aggressive treatment but she got an awesome wig (in fact she still wear it on days her hair won't behave!) Many women in my family (both mum and dad's sides) have had the big C as has bf's mum and grandma.
I can only echo the posts of others and urge you to look after yourself so that you are best able to be there for her
Maman fantastic to have you back, glad to hear you enjoyed yourself
I've been up since 6.30 but have struggled for breakfast inspiration and motivation so I'm just waiting to eat now I've prepared something.
No plans to go out today, I fancy a lazy day in the house with wonder bairn. Cleaning/straightening up, playing with bubs and sewing/getting project ideas. Also need to do some stretches as I'm a bit stiff
Food plan:
Before breakfast: tea (milk from HeA)
breakfast: baked ham and eggs (line a few holes in a muffin tray with sliced of ham, crack an egg in to each, season and bake until set), tea (milk from HeA)
snack: kiwi and apple
lunch: finally going to attempt 3 tin soup
snack: 2 satsumas
tea: thinking pasta and tuna with veggies probably************************************

Morning everyone
Meg - can only echo what everyone else is saying and it's all so true - you're being a good, supportive friend and talk/vent here as much as you like.
Yesterday was a good food day for me, stayed on track. Mmmm wonder if it's due to both DSs being away:D
Today another EE day -
Breakfast - toast (hexb) with scraping of light chive Philly (half of hexa)
Lunch - potato salad (3 syns for s/cream), parika roasted chicken breast, pineapple, strawberries
Dinner - Remaining chicken with roasted cauliflower, peppers, onions and mushrooms, Muller Light
Need to look for NAS Ribena on offer as I'm drinking gallons of the stuff.
Have a good day everyone x0
