Thank you for replying to my little distress call.
I had a bottle of sparkling wine on Friday so did go over my syns, then yesterday went over again with 3-4 glasses of sparkling wine.

I made masses of fat free hummus today and ate about two tins worth before I went to the weigh in so maybe that made a difference. Or maybe it is just harder for my metabolism to lose weight.

Interesting point about muscles retaining water. I haven't really done much exercise before so that might be something.

It is inspiring to see all your losses. I guess I just wonder if people really are sticking to the slimming world plan and eating unlimited amounts of things and still losing weight.

    Today I had:
    boiled egg for breakfast
soya milk in coffee at work hea
    cherries
beans on one slice of wholemeal toast heb
    banana
massive tub of home made fat free hummus (chick peas, water, lemon juice, garlic)
    Thai mug shot
    Muller light vanilla
    Alprosoy choc d!sert (5 syns)
    Sparkling water

    Does that sound ok?

No sorry it dosent look OK, a bottle of wine will set you back around 26 syns, also don't think you are eating enough, if you go too low then your body thinks. Wow I am being starved here and hangs onto every bit it can.

    Are you veggie?

Seriously go online and see the menu plan

What do you do with your fitness ball Yemma? Would you recommend it?

I use a DVD, 10 minute solutions fitness ball. It has five sections of ten minutes each that you can mix and match. I love it :) I hurt my back fairly badly last year and this has been my way back into exercise. It's gentle enough but plenty of room to really go for it for a good workout with heavier weights/ bigger jumps etc.

Late flying visit tonight. Lost 1.5 lbs at my weigh in this morning. I usually weigh on a wed evening so I was around a day and a half early. I had hoped for a bit more as I've been super good this week and I'm away next week so won't weigh for another two weeks now. But it's still good :)

Hi all you slinkys, thought I'd try and post from home. Lost a splendiferous TWO pounds tonight! Really happy with that. I very nearly walked straight leaving class then my blooming aches kicked in. Another dose of shred before work:eek: will post menu once I've worked out what I'm having.

Meg, was hostie not just referring to today's plan as I see no wine on it?
Some people do have smaller appetites. My mum eats tiny meals and she's lost 11.5 stone with SW so what seems little to one person can be perfectly sufficient to others. She makes me slightly bigger meals with more free/Sf as that's what I'm used to eating but her own meals are way smaller and she doesn't starve in fact far from it!

    Morning :j

Congratulations losers, probably the only thread on here that that's a welcomed reply :D

Back a little better this morning, for those who asked, thanks. Still only managed about three hours sleep though.

    Another strict day here:

Breakfast - Trimmed bacon, poached egg, mushrooms done in fry light, plum tomatoes.

Dinner - SW bacon, mushroom, mixed pepper and red onion quiche and a big salad, pineapple chunks and strawberries, a benefit bar.

Tea - Superfart soup and some savoury rice, possibly the full packet as I love it. Soup first and see how I get on.

HEXA - 1/2 milk in drinks, 1/2 cheese on quiche
    HEXB - Benefit bar

Syns - Options 1.5, not sure what else yet.

BM - Hopefully get back to my usual walking.

    Have wonderful days, all :j

If you're not doing it, try a pillow below your knees if you sleep on your back, or between your knees if you sleep on your side. Supports the spine and really helps.

I'm off out for the day today with the bf and his little boy. Swimming is on the cards but I HATE swimming, so I think I'll just watch. If I can't find anything suitable for lunch I'll just have the fruit I'm planning to take and fill up on paella when we get home :)

Have a good day all, well done to losers and everyone else :)

    Good Morning!

Knew this thread existed but only able to come here now I've been to my first class! Joined SW last night so no losses to report, just know how bad the start weight is :-(

I'm going to be looking through the books today and work out what I need to swap out in my diet and what to stock up on so I can fill up on free foods. Already got some fruit and veg in. I guess I also need to work out what I normally have that is syn heavy.

Not sure about the HEx foods either, I've got loads of them to use (sorry, probably not a normal issue to have!) because I'm veggie and breastfeeding a non-weaned baby. Hoping that will help me because I can't stand black coffee or tea so I really need the milk! That would be a step too far for me.

The superfart soup quip made me giggle, Top Girl, I know what you mean!! Lentil soup has that effect on me!! :rotfl:

    Yesterday I ended up having:

    B - branflakes (HEB1), blueberries/raspberries, greek yoghurt (3.5 syns)
L - large baked potato with cottage cheese & salad
D - pasta with HM sauce, cheese (HEA1), pitta (HEB2) & salad followed by strawberries

    Today will be:

    B - branflakes (HEB1), blueberries/raspberries/mango, greek yoghurt (3.5 syns)
    L - loaded potato skins (HEA1), salad
D - veg & cannellini bean chilli, possibly going to try bulgur wheat instead of rice (I think it's free but will double-check), pitta (HEB2), cheese (HEA2) & salad

lantanna, I love the loaded potato skins & really look forward to having them. Tasty & filling :)
