    Hi All

I have not been around much, we leave on Friday to travel to Manchester before staying over to fly out Saturday its a busy week as I need to do all the kids clubs as DH is back shift & still to complete the packing for DH & DS . It is the last week of term here so the kids have a lot of things on as well & I have still to get hair/nails/de-fluffing done as well . STS again for me this week , thats hardly a movement in 4 weeks, I will stay on plan for the meantime & just try & make the best choices I can when away for the 2 weeks. Someone in class suggested I try Original days but I will need to read up for that.

I am working up to 4pm on Friday but have already started feeding the boss with Tunnocks TEa CAkes to sweeten him up in the hope he will let me away early :D.

Menu Today, not sure if I can turn this into original yet or not as I don't have my book here so here is my no name plan :rotfl:

B - 2 WM toast (HEB) & egg with Heinz Light Sandwich Spread (delicious mixed with egg, really creamy) (1 syn) melon
L - SW Corned beef & Pepper Quiche (HEA) + 1 syn, melon, strawberries, melon, turkish delight muller.
D – South Indian Garlic Chicken, rice & side of veg.

I don’t have any more syns planned as yet, will read book tonightafter swimming lessons to see if this can be a red day.

Sorry to post & run but busy in work trying to get everything zipped up, hope you are all doing fab, I have not a hope of catching up with you all x

You can make this a Red day quite easily by just changing the rice to HEB of potatoes, but you need to leave the skin on. I would actually use chopped up old potatoes and make bombay potatoes leaving the skins on. Or you could just serve with a jacket potato.

If you really want to have the rice then it will have to be an EE day.

So tomorrow we go to Newcastle for two days; I've not had the best week up to now but hoping I can salvage it again and either stay the same or see maybe a lb off (3.5 days surely do able...even more so if I could 'go' sorry..tmi I know!)

    Plan for tomorrow is:
Breakfast: HeB toast with a little jam (1syn), apple, cherries, tea with milk from HeA
Snack (in car as long drive): small orange, apple, NAS squash
Lunch/early tea (will suggest we eat our main meal much earlier than usual as we have an event 6-8pm): I am going to either take bf to Harvester in the Metrocentre or I will get something from 'spudUlike' whilst he has KFC/similar (tuna or baked beans on my jacket) but pretty sure I can sway him on Harvester - will note a few syns for a little sauce on the side of my salad

Will also try to take extra fruit for snacks/lift some at breakfast at the hotel/find somewhere to buy some on Thursday when we head to Tynemouth to meet my friend.

Thursday I think Healthy Extras will be had once we get home.

I know I am forever berating my lack lustre planning skills when it comes to my meals but can someone give me opinions on thee following notes/options?:

Breakfasts: omelettes (tomato and mushroom/ham, no cheese) followed by fruit
birds in the nest (eggs cooked in slices of bread) using HeB bread served with beans, fruit too
fruit salad with yogurt (either free or sometimes synned)
magic oats (free or low syn natural yogurt) with fresh fruits
weetabix/shreddies (heb) with milk (hea) plus banana slices

Lunches: i think each sunday i will make up a big bowl of pasta salad/salad which I can just take servings from each day: pasta (if not plain salad), sweetcorn, grated carrot, beetroot, pickled onion, sliced cherry/baby tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, fresh pineapple chunks. If it's pasta salad I will mix through either extra light mayo or mint sauce (synned as appropriate over 5 days) i can then add protein each day to mix it up, options: tuna, chicken, ham, cheese (hea), boiled eggs
to be followed by 2 pieces of fruit

tea: if bf is having chips/etc i can cook myself some syn free wedges/mash/jacket potato, we eat a lot of chicken as it is so will keep with that, during hot weather we mostly have salad with grilled or baked lean meats so no worry there. must be stronger and keep bf's take away temptation to a minimum when he is here (can be done by prepping early as telling him it is pretty much ready ;) ) will buy leaner mince again starting from when we next need some, will try using that to make my own meatballs

syns saved from other meals/snacking for evening meals, if no/very low syn then can have a curly wurly/other small treat/options hot chocolate after evening meal

snacks: keep boiled eggs in the fridge, ensure a variety of fruits are kept in the bowl/fridge, actively remind myself that if I don't snack on syns I can have chocolate/etc after tea

write down my plans on a monthly calendar sheet and stick to the fridge so I know what I have to look forward to to avoid snacking and then beating myself up

LLS - meal ideas look good. You could probably get a bit more variety and more filling breakfasts - I'd be starving if I just had fruit & yoghurt! I quite often have fry ups, boiled eggs, various omlettes, beans on toast etc. I would definitely try to get some protein at breakfast if you can, it will make you feel fuller for longer.

    Hmmm very good point indeed!

Maybe if I add poached eggs on toast (HeB), or omelette bites (like mini omelettes baked in silicon cake cases), or scrambled eggs and beans to the list as well as the fruit and yogurt on those days.

I do tend to try to live by the phrase 'breakfast like a king, dine like a pauper' when possible so perhaps I should continue to keep that in mind

I find it much easier to lose weight, and actually eat in general, when it is cooler/cold out - probably why I managed so well on SW the first time round seeing as I did it July-January to get to target!
