Morning all!
Another one who suffers in the heat - I really don't do summer! I love the concept of long, sunny days - just without the heat please! It just makes me tired and irritable. Fortunately OH is the same, so we are never likely to book a beach holiday! :rotfl:
On countdown to our holidays now, going to Lake Garda and can't wait!
Well, I weighed in this morning and am extremely happy to report a loss of 3 3/4lb for the chart please Shala. This actually brings me to my major target. I have been doing SW for exactly a year now. I started at 15 stone 13lb and was in the Obese weight range. I am now 12 stone 3 3/14 and am in the "normal" weight range. :j A total loss of 3 stone 9 1/4lb!
BMI Chart
I would like to thank all you lovely ladies for the support and encouragement. This thread has been a mine of information and it's nice to know that others out there are struggling with the same issues.
Going to re-evaluate how I do things now. I think I will carry on SW until I go on holiday in 5 weeks, be totally off plan whilst we are away and then maybe start a fitness regime. I think I will be happy when I get back to my fighting weight of 11 stone 2 from when I used to compete in Taekwondo competitions, but there will be no major rush to get there as the focus will be on getting fitter now. Hopefully the extra activity will offset the more relaxed eating plan.0 -
Have had a quick scan through the weekend posts. Well done to the losers, hugs to those who gained.
I wasn't as bad this weekend as last and have left myself with 39 syns for the 3 days until WI, so 13 a day. Will probably struggle to use them all without the alcohol!
Today will be a Green day:
B - porridge made with water, yoghurt & banana (HEB1)
L - cheese on toast (HEA1/HEB2); fruit if needed
D - jacket potato, baked beans, salad
HEA2 will be milk throughout the day in teas.
Syns - no idea yet!

Got a busy busy week this week so hoping for a good loss on Thursday, Going to London to see Iggle Piggle with my niece today, Wednesday I'm at Chessington and Thursday I'm at Goodwood so lots of walking and going to take my own lunch to all three places as well so I'm not tempted by burgers and chips which I would have had before!Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150

Lushlifesaver – There is a thing doing the internet at the minute – one of our consultants was photographed in her SW plastered car going through a KFC drive through – it has caused quite the stir! Lol The smell of a chip shop tea would kill me – well done you if you can resist it!
Bluis – I am the master of banking syns and it hasn’t done me any harm! It’s the only way for me to stay sane and treat myself now and then.
Meg72 - Wi was half a pound on for me – not the end of the world but I am getting very frustrated as 10.5 lbs to target and the last 5 / 6 weeks I’ve not even made a dent in it.
Lots of gym over the weekend though and squats and things at home – at least I’ve gotten the exercise bug again – will be back at the gym tonight. It definitely helps my mood so I need to keep at it. :j
Shala – Great idea about the list – think I might just do that for myself today. I need something to give me a kick up the derriere!
Sarymary – :hello:
Re: Having an effect on how you dress
I’m currently on a mission (as part of chasing of the black dog & shaking up all aspects of part of my life) to wear all of my clothes and not just 20 % of my wardrobe. It all sounds a bit vain but it helps me with my self esteem etc! I look damn good today even if I do say so myself! I think we are all worth putting a little more effort in and if it makes us feel better in the process then brilliant. I buy a lot of clothes on ebay and find it really cost effective when shifting down through the sizes. Though hopefully I'm settled now at a 12 / 10 and can keep everything now.
Pink poppy – Thanks for reminding me about Potato Skins – might make those this week.
HelenDaveKids – Think we are in exactly the same place - less than a stone to go and a flabby tummy to shift. Buying new underwear makes the world of difference – I need more still wearing a size 16 knicker somedays lol - Makes you feel great when you get new clothes that fit!!! Although I’m dreading winter as I’ll have to start again with a totally empty wardrobe.
Yemma – Get the toffee crisps out of the house!!
Mildredd – I am always flippin freezing as well! I’ve had my heater on already this am
Sorry for the long post - but these are my rantings

Morning all, I have finally managed to get on OH's laptop. My old pc has given up the ghost, the teenagers and OH are very possessive of their laptops, lol
Been doing well on plan, weighed in on Saturday -2.5lb please Shala.
I so wanted to complete this challenge but with only a week to go, it is very unlikely.
Been swimming a lot last week and very busy with work and have started to declutter the house. Took out a library book about tidying and decluttering. I started with the linen cupboard, so many single duvet covers and quilts that we don't need, so all tidied out and the cupboard is looking great now.
I have had a pack of cooked chicken drumsticks in the fridge over the weekend, just to nibble on, in case of temptation to eat rubbish. I had marinated them first in fat free yogurt and tikka spice. They were really good, trouble is, the teenagers loved them too!
I better go make some breakfast, quite hungry now. Have a great day.
Some great losses by the way, Seabee, well done on your target and welcome to the newbies.0 -
lantanna i find it a lot easier than I ever expected to only buy chippie teas for bf - I used to pick him one up when walking home from group!
Monday and the weather is still looking up!
Having a slow, lazy start to the day; wonder bairn and I are still in our pjs! Have got a wash in though so something is getting done
Breakfast was scrambled eggs with cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and ham plus tea (milk from HeA)
lunch will be a sammich of some kind (bread HeB) with fruit
tea: planning a chicken and bacon salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, beetroot, sweetcorn, boiled egg)
HeA: 250ml semi skimmed milk
HeB: 60g Kingsmill great white
Syns: 2 small chocolates (5) jubbly (1)
Body magic: just over a mile walking in the sun later on
Going to try using our bullet blender to make the three tin soup - can't blend anything hot in it so going to blend the contents of each can separately first then combine it all (will blend the pickled onions with the contents of one of the tins)
Funny week as we have 1.5/2 days up in Newcastle but will be as on plan as the venue/s allow************************************

Well here we are Monday again. Had a fabulous weekend with a really good friend I only see every six months or so. Laughed so much over the weekend. Normally this would leave me feeling a bit blue, missing OH dreadfully but yesterday I got up with the larks and for the first time in three years felt really, really happy:T
Course the food and especially wine was flowing all weekend:eek: so in my wisdom to help counteract it all I started Shred yesterday:eek::eek: OMG nearly fell getting out of bed this morning. My legs and stomach ache so much. Sitting at work and hoping I don't need to move!
WI tomorrow night HELP!! Today will be EE -
Breakfast - toast (hexb) and banana with Muller Light.
Lunch - smoked ham with pickled onions, cabbage and gerkins.
Strawberries and nectarines.
Dinner - Mushroom and garlic Pasta n Sauce with added mushrooms and peppers. Pineapple and mango chunks.
Trying to keep syns low as poss to recoup some of the damage.
Have a good day everyone x0 -
