Hello all
Well here I am sat at a cricket match watching lovely son play, an enforced few hours of doing nothing but sewing and reading, a hard life me thinks!!
I picked up a pack of salad from sainsburys taste the difference salad which had balsamic vinegar dressing and 10g of parmigiana reggiano (hard cheese) shavings and very nice it was too, mixed with some pasta and a couple of hard boiled eggs. My question is can I use the cheese as my hexa? I will not be having any other A choices today other than a couple of shots of milk in my tea. I don't have my book with me and wondered if I can use it as an A, can someone please help me out otherwise I will have to syn whole thing at 4.5 syns
Thanks everyone

Your cheese is fine as HEA, according to the list you are allowed 30gms.
Enjoy the cricket match.Slimming World at target0 -
I looked at FODMAP last year and followed it for a while; I did eventually accept that it's grains (even oats on occasion) and too much hardskinned veg that set me off. Now I tinker round the edges to try and find ratios to help. My GP is useless as I've tested negative repeatedly for coeliac, so that's it - I'm on my own.
I've just been tested for coeliac but as I'd mostly cut out gluten the result was negative, am now waiting to see my Dr to discuss the results but he's on holiday so it's a long wait. Now it's just a case of what can I eat that is also SW friendly. Changed to ready brek as it's gluten free but it's not a HE so using syns every day (not sure how many, can someone check for me please?). Have used minimal other syns in the meantime. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I made sure I was still eating gluten for a couple of weeks before each coeliac test. Howabout ordinary porridge oats rather than Ready Brek? You could have 35g as your HexB (soaked in water overnight to soften it up) and add fruit/yoghurt. You wouldn't have to use syns, although I'm not sure how attractive such a small portion as that would be."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000 -
Just came on to sort myself out a menu for today and caught your post Meg.. thank you very much for your kind words, it's very much appreciated! xx
I think i'm just fed up as I feel like I've been constantly watching what I eat for so many years and it just never really does any good.. i'm obviously not watching hard enough am I :rotfl:
I have a few days of motivation and then completely lose it.. it's the same few lbs i'm battling over every week and I have stones to lose!
anyway wah wah wah from me.. i'm done complaining.. i'll just keep plodding on as Beanie would say and hope for the best.
Todays menu
Brunch - Bacon sandwich (heb)
Tea - chicken bacon hotpot thing with veg in and potatoes on top, salad, cheese (a)
Snacks - crisps(4) milk (2)
9 syns left for supper if I get peckish as we'll be having an early tea..
off out into town now so will get some body magic in truddling around the shops..

TIE have you changed from Oatsosimple to ready brek? if so I make my own sachets of oatssosimple ready for when we need them and OH says they taste exactly the same - I think all the ingredients can be bought gluten free.
Oats, skimmed milk powder and sweetner and you're done. Let me know if you want the recipe.Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Don't like the texture of porridge, prefer ready brek. The thought of yoghurt with it makes me shudder, tried it before .
I read up on the coeliac test which recommended eating gluten for at least 6 weeks prior to test but I couldn't put up with the pain for that long, hubby said he couldn't put up with the moaning either lolIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Oatsosimple has wheat in, so can't have it. It's the texture of the big oats I don't like, ready brek is finer so more palatable. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
