I looked at FODMAP last year and followed it for a while; I did eventually accept that it's grains (even oats on occasion) and too much hardskinned veg that set me off. Now I tinker round the edges to try and find ratios to help. My GP is useless as I've tested negative repeatedly for coeliac, so that's it - I'm on my own."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

shala~just post when you can.
Not to worry.
durham~ is all.
My DS is only home for summer & I am slightly demented already :rotfl:
She is now home and all her stuff installed in her room. We can't see the floor and she has only just managed to clear her bed so she can use it tonight!
My major concern is that DD1 has a lot of energy and is always on the go, which is not a good combination for someone with ME. I'm concerned about the extra work it will make for me. Since both daughters went away to Uni I have had less demands on me and therefore have had enough energy to do exercise and concentrate on diet. I'm afraid all that will go to pot if I get over tired. Although DD1 has spent 5 years studying medicine, I would not say she is very sympathetic/understanding of my condition - they are taught ME although all in the mind is very real to the patient! My ME is caused due to having Lyme Disease and is due to a bacterial infection, so not all in the mind but a very real physical condition. I am going to have to make it clear to her that she will have to pull her weight, after all she has been independent for 5 years. I sense though it will be a battle, she will say she is working and tired or other excuses will come along. OH dotes on her and she can wrap him around her little finger, so may cause problems there too. I love her to bits and will enjoy having her around more, but I'm under no illusions it will be difficult.Weight loss 0/2st

My DS is not always understanding of my limitations because of my cerebral palsy so I do know where you are coming from,ho hum.

that's one of our concerns which may grow as wonder bairn gets older Beanie- bf has cerebral palsy and is a full time chair user (though can do a few steps chair to sofa/front door to car/ boot to drivers side etc and loathes to do so in front of new people/strangers) so she will grow up knowing daddy is different and whilst it doesn't stop him/us doing anything sometimes we just have to do them a different way. On the plus side with being part of rugby he won't be the only person in a chair that she is frequently around so hopefully she'll grow up like me and won't notice much (it took me about 30 minutes to realise bf was in a chair when we met!)
I have avoided chocolate all night so do I get a gold star?
Going to have the last of my HeA milk then head to bed i think.
planning ahead for tomorrow;
breakfast: birds in a nest (bread as HeB) with some mushrooms and baked beans. need to allow a few syns for something to cook with the mushrooms
snack: fruit
lunch: leftover chow mein (3syn)
not sure about tea yet- i really need to get the meal bits in the freezer eaten (made for just after wonder bairns birth, have maybe 6 left) so may have one of those and just call that the rest of my syns (not possible as they are very small but better safe than sorry!)************************************

Hi all,
Well what a week I have had, got a phone call Monday lunchtime to say that DD2 who is 8, has fallen off the climbing frame and hurt her arm, and as a precaution the school think I should take her to hospital. So after 5 hours in A&E DD comes out with a broken arm and plaster castCoupled with the warm weather, and the fact that she does not 'do' any form of medication has meant a week full of broken sleep and a very tired little girl and mummy!!!
However, still managed a 3.5lb loss this week, so a total of 8.5lbs in the last 2 weeks, I'm 4lbs from my club 10 and 1.5stone award so feeling motivated still - just bloody tired!! Really glad its the weekend so I can get my head together and do some meal planning. After reading on here I think Im going to shake things up a bit and have a few pasta and rice dishes ( the thought of a tuna pasta salad is getting me all excited!!)
Well done to all of the losers, especially those so close to target, and those struggling keep on going.
I'm another one that has completed the 30ds, my advice to you is take measurements and if possible before photos, the shred is famous for its toning abilities and inch loss, but IMHO it does not go great with SW as you retain a lot of water so expect a gain in the first week. I had to give it up as the inch loss was not enough for me, especially paying £5 each week and never seeing the results I wanted. I have stopped all exercise the last 2 weeks and lost 8.5lbs so I think with SW exercise is not necessary for weight loss.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.0 -

Morning all. Was hoping for a sleep in this morning but was woken up by DH making silly stretching noises. He always gets up early as he does the Park Run. He has never had a problem getting to sleep whereas I often have sleepless nights, due either to various aches & pains or my brain not being able to switch off. Will have to try again tomorrow morning.
Weighed in this morning and its a STS this week, at least its not another gain.
Green Menu:
B: Shreddies, blueberries & ff yoghurt.
L: Noodles. Fruit.Creamy mushroom pasta. Fruit or Fruit roulade.
HexA: Milk in Tea.
May have extra Hex's as cereal or toast for supper.
I'm saving as many syns as possible as children are cooking the main meal tomorrow for Fathers Day. It will be a El Paso kit so not really SW friendly. I will be making a fruit roulade for dessert, so that will be a treat.Weight loss 0/2st

Thank you for the list, I love to see it and have to say it does more to motivate me than all of the SW tools put together.
Sorry you are fed up, but just think Shala, by starting this thread and putting up the list you have helped so many of us, so come on and post even if its just a moan, let us try to help you as you have helped us.Slimming World at target0
