Meg72 we love our actifry as well. Ours is very dirty with the spry oil and I have tried everything to clean it. The dishwasher doesn't help. Can you tell me what you used and can you tell me how to make the chicken fried rice as it sounds lovely. Thank you very much in advance and good luck with your actifry. Ours is on sometimes lunch and dinner time. X
So sorry for the delay, I meant to come back and answer this yesterday but forgot..
I cleaned it by firstly by scraping most of the thick gunge off with a wooden lollystick, the pan and the plastic top were put to soak in hot water with stardrops and washing soda and then used a plastic scourer, , the paddle was the worst bit and after scraping and washing as above it still had a lot of caked burnt on grease so I put it in a large bowl and used oven spray, which got a lot off and then scraped and washed again. The filter was black and gunged up so used the oven cleaner on that as well and then a metal scourer, and this came up better than I expected.
The idea for the chicken fried rice came from here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUsBpJTGHV8
I used onion, mushrooms, celery, red pepper and homegrown bean sprouts, afterwards I thought I could have put some sweetcorn in as well, didn't use the soy sauce and seasoned with salt and pepper.
It was really nice and although I have made similar just using a frying pan I was really pleased that I didn't have to stand and keep stiring it.
Going to try this again just using smartprice stir fry veg and no rice.Slimming World at target0 -

Morning everyone
I quite like thinking I was force fed pizza last night but in reality I just had a very bad day and made a VERY big, bad choice:mad: I won't go into the details as I know many are dealing with much worse than me but I'm so aware that I'm an emotional eater.
So new day, back on the wagon -
Breakfast - wholemeal roll (hexb), bacon and tomatoes
Lunch - LO pasta salad with extra roasted veg, pineapple and mango chunks
Dinner - still to decide, depends on hospital visiting but WILL be SW friendly
Syns - as few as possible
Take care all x0 -

No, don't worry, that's for two biscuits.;)durham_mim wrote: »Back from housegroup meeting where I ended up having a small chocolate snowball and an after eight mint. Anyone know the syns for these, please. I am so scared of putting on the weight I lost last week, especially as I've got a meal out at Harvesters next week.
After Eights are 2 syns each and your snowball could be 3. It's hard to tell as they vary a lot with brands/sizes but it's 3 for a small one. Harvester is a good SW choice. There's one close to my group and lots of the ladies use it. I think that's for plain cooked chicken and salad bar and JP. There's info about it on the SW website.
Fancy having a car to look forward to as a reward lush. Wow!!
Hope you have a better day today MrsR. try not to get hungry.
Thanks for calling by lantanna and hope your 'date' goes well mildredd.
:T to all those with losses and being positive.
I'm back from WI and allegedly I've gained 2.5lbs.
It's strange I feel quite thin and except for my Ikea lunch I've been quite good this week. I'm guessing that past syns have caught up with me from previous weeks.
I'm still well within target but it really threw me.Anyway, I decided not to stay to group and instead went to Lidl which is close to where the group meets. I've bought plenty of SF and while I was there I stocked up on cornichons and got a jar of peppers. I bought nothing that wasn't 100% SW friendly. I'm going to do a beanie and keep plodding.:)
