Yesterday was not good. But, it's done now.

    Today:

B - Blueberries and kiwi in natural F/F fromage frais and 2 HEXB bars

D - Chicken korma and vegetable rice

T - Burger made with extra lean mince with HEXA cheese, SW chips and a large salad

Syns - Not sure yet, maybe some crisps later

BM - Not a lot I'd imagine, general housework

    Happy Sunday everyone!

Bf set off just before 9.00 for another three day camp so just me and wonder bairn for a couple of days.

The grass needed cutting but the cutting disc on our mower is broken, text bf's mum to ask if I could borrow their's and she came up and cut it for me! Now I just need to use the strimmer on the edges later on :)

So, after last nights BBQ I am back on it today:
Breakfast: lean bacon and cherry tomato omlette
    Snack:fruit
Lunch: Tuna salad sammich (Kingmill great white measured as HeB) (Tuna, lettuce, cucumber, baby plum tomatoes)
    Snack: mullerlight
Tea: Salmon (cooked in the oven, no butter) with a jacket potato, mini corn on the cob, salad bits (lettuce, cucumber, baby plum tomatoes, left over cous cous [1], beetroot)
Afters: if it stays nice I'll have a jubbly ice lolly [1]
    Drinks: NAS Squash
    HeB: Kingsmill great white
HeA: I think it will have to be milk again as I have two bottles that need using!

Going to capitalise on the good weather and wonder bairn's shorter naps - will do the housework now (just a quick once round as I did a deep clean just over a week ago) then later hope to get the lawn finished off. Then tomorrow we can get out for a walk perhaps :)

Will be a good week for body magic: Monday will have all the jobs done so should be able to get out for a 1 mile walk, Tuesday I'll be walking to baby massage and back which is 1.5 miles each way so 3 in total! Wednesday is minimum 2 miles walking again to get the dog to the groomers and back (I leave him there so its there and back twice for me!) plus whatever we do as a little family, Thursday I'm not sure yet and another 1mile walk on Friday! So If I can stay on plan from today until Saturday when I weigh in I should see another loss :) Now to get on!

I use the little glass jars for my yogurt maker and added some
chopped up YS strawberries, got six portions

Brilliant meg, never thought of looking for own brand, I'll check if sainsburys do them as that's where I shop... Along with Tesco if I have vouchers...

Beanie - I'll check the end date of the challenge, not sure off the top of my head... :D memory isn't one of my strong points!!

    Afternoon all :)
Thanks for the tips :) I guess my stuff costs more as I can't cook from scratch and have to rely on already partially processed things which do cost more. Went to the cinema last night. OH had choc Brazil nuts so I had to stand in front of the pick n mix which nearly finished me off :rotfl: then I had to brave the counter with its sweets, popcorn, hot dogs, slushes etc :D but I was very good and only purchased a bottle of water :) I drank the water with my mango chunks and my Curly Wurly while watching the film :)
Well I've weighed myself and something miraculous has happened- the weight has finally shifted!! As it stands it's a 2lb loss. However I'm going to get stuck into the BM today and with what I always do on a Monday before WI I'm confident of a 3lb loss on the scales tomorrow :) that would take me to 1/2 a lb from my 2.5 stone and 3 1/2 from target. However I'm going on 'hols' next week (2 days in Southport with OH) which will involve probably eating a fair amount of utter carp :D so I just have to try and be good for most of next week :)
Off to Sainsbobs this afternoon for water, milk, yoghurts and fruit. Realised yesterday I hadn't bought near enough as I like to drink sparkling water with my cordial to make a 'fizzy' drink :)
    Today's menu:
B: SW fry-up made with Frylight- 2 fried eggs, bacon minus the fat, 3 Linda McCartney sausages (1.5 syns) cherry tomatoes. 2 kiwis. NAS cordial
L: Sweet beetroot salad leaves with pastrami and pickled gherkins, dressed with Worcester sauce. HEXB Ryvita Minis. Frappucino with HEXA 250 milk. Apple.
T: 2 Quorn peppered steaks, 1 piece of chicken with chicken tonight spanish chicken (3 syns) a few Aunt Bessie's midweek mini roasties (1.5 syns) frozen garden peas. Strawberries and 0% Activia yoghurt. NAS cordial
S: Tuna and a tin of beans
    Syns: 6
Body magic: going for a walk later.
Have a good day everyone xx

Going for a Red day today:

    B - bacon & mushroom omlette
    S - vanilla slice from bakers - 13 syns:eek:
    L - cheese on toast (HEA/HEB)
D - roast duck leg, new pots (HEB) veg - not sure which yet, will check what's in the freezer!

Not many syns left so will probably go over today!

Only really got tomorrow to pull back as my sister is coming down on Tuesday, so more wine syns probably! then Wednesday we're going to France for the day so no idea how many syns that will be. Glad I'm still just under target so have 3.5 lb to play with - but will really need to be good after WI on Thursday.

Wow JoeDenise, I LOVE vanilla slices too, but at that syn value, they can wait until I am under eleven stone :D

I have decided at 10 stone 10, which will be my first stone off, I am going to have the mother of all blowout days, something to look forward to, maybe a vanilla slice then...

Do you think I will be okay having eaten three day old fromage frais? Apparently it should be used within two :o

You are so good at this Maman and seem to have a lot of experience could you perhaps put up a couple of days costed menus

Thanks for you kind words. :o Since I've had more time I am able to focus on cooking from scratch and being frugal with shopping. I see it as a challenge as I hate being ripped off. I'll have a go at costing my menu for this week but I'll have to use mysupermarket for some prices. That's because almost all the meat and fish I use comes from my stores in the freezer where I've bought YS or offers and portioned it up.

Aldi do sugar free jelly as well. 23p for the same size pack and same syn value (2).

    Today's EE plan:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: banana and LO jambalaya ready for when I need it
D: roast lamb, roast potatoes and parsnips, cauli, broccoli, red cabbage, gravy
Syns: squirt of syrup, gravy and I think there's stuffing with the lamb (bought YS pre-prepared rolled shoulder) and it will be fatty but I reckon I can get risk it as I'm below target. And then there's wine syns!;)

Hello everyone on this gorgeous sunny Sunday :D

Over the last 35 years I have lost 3+ stones (three times) and 4+ stones (once) and each time I have regained it and some extra besides (I can fairly see a number of people nodding away in sympathy). I have even been a SW consultant for several years before having to retire to take care of my Mum and Dad when Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer, which prompted yet another weight gain.

Having been taken ill with pancreatitis in November last year and subsequently having my gall bladder removed, I lost 3 stones in a couple of months, mainly because of the pain and then because of the fear of a recurrence of the pain.

A few weeks ago I realised that I had started gaining again (only half a stone but its the thin end of a very thick wedge). Fortunately for me, I happened to see a programme on tv about diabetes, which I watched because my Mum has recently been diagnosed with it.

Oh my......it is not the "inconvenient" disease I thought it was :(. It can cause heart disease, kidney disease, nerve damage etc etc. It surprised and scared me so much that I took the online test they suggested, which is available through the Diabetes Care Campaign http://riskscore.diabetes.org.uk/2013?gclid=CPza_bzN2L4CFS3HtAodHQQAzA and I came out as high risk with a 1 in 3 chance of developing diabetes

I have to say, it has done me a favour because suddenly all those chocolates, biscuits, ice creams etc don't hold the same charm as they did. I have buckled down and haven't even been tempted by anything sweet (other than Mullerlight) and have lost the half stone I had gained and am well on the way to target.

This time I KNOW I will stay there, or thereabouts, because I have a new baby granddaughter and another grandchild on the way who, along with the grandson I already have, mean far more to me than a chocolate bar. I intend to live long enough to see them grow up.

I feel evangelical about SW (well I always have known they were the best) but I want to grab people by the arm and hurry them along to group :o If I go missing from here, you'll know I've been arrested for kidnap :rotfl::rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Thanks Maman I am just back from Aldi, went to get the forest fruit you so kindly posted about the other day, 1.39 instead of 1.99 at Asda, bought 2 so saved 1.20, also trying the 55p cream cheese instead of philly, another 90psaved, 2 packs peppers at 69
instead of 1.00, 80p saved. also decided to not buy mullerlights (lovely as they are) going to experiment with adding fruit and flavours to the plain yogurt.

Didn't look at the jelly as stocked up on the Asda and have a fair few in,as I was paying 68p for two sachets of Hartley, so a saving of 18p (that will buy me an apple:rotfl:) but will put on list for next time

Went to Morries to get halfprice chicken drumsticks 1.75 kg. look nice 12 plump drumsticks in pack, 15p each cant be bad, and one of their 1.99 gammon hocks, also got a couple of hovis wholemeal bread reduced to 40p and prawns to 2.00.

B&m for 49p micro rice, yes could do it cheaper myself but don't use a lot for a portion, will get 3 out of a pack, and hey got to have some convenience.

I have been so pleased to lose weight and be a little more pain free that I know this way of eating must be for life now I also know that my income will be low (pension credit) so must stretch my budget as much as I can and I am really enjoying hunting out the bargains,

A plus for today was going to the carboot and finding 2 pair of skinny jeans in size 12, almost new for 50p each, I was thinking to use them as an incentive, just trying them on every week to see how far I had to go, but one pair actually FIT, am over the moon, the other pair I can do up around the waist and get the zip up but they are a bit too personal for my liking.

Reading back this is probably the longest post I have ever made
I don't apologise as it has been such a long time that I have had such and interesting an happy day.
