I would like to join you all (again) as I am failing miserably to lose any weight and I want to give slimming world a proper shot
Currently I have about 2-3 stone to lose however I have been losing and gaining the same 4lbs for months so I need to commit to an approach and get the weight off properly and slimming world sounds like the best approach for me.
So I am going to start in the morningTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Welcome Rummer, there's no better way than the Slimming World way 😊
WelshKitty, have you thought of starting a hobby that uses your hands during the evening.......perhaps knitting, crochet, card making, something along those lines. If your hands are otherwise occupied they can't be putting carp in your mouthI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thinking ahead to tomorrow;
B: Bacon, poached egg, hashbrown/rosti (leftover from tonight) & tea (milk from HeA)
L: Ham,lettuce and tomato sammich (kingsmill great white measured as HeB)
S: mullerlight and fruit
T: Something with chicken as I suddenly really want some! Probably shredded chicken and pasta with veggies thrown inI may syn in some cheese depending on how I feel
No syns planned at the moment apart from possibly some reduced fat cheddar with my evening meal. I will probably go for an Options hot choc (2) before bed.
Going to try and stay away from the chocolate draw tomorrow and just ignore it's calls.
Will be going for a walk to check the price of Kingsmill great white in our little town stores and to check when wonder bairn's next vaccinations are booked for. Must remember to drink more tomorrow too especially if it gives out fair again!************************************

Morning all. Back at work after a week off, so should find it easier to stick to plan. Weather has turned here again after a glorious day yesterday which was spent out and about on the scoots.
WI this morning sees a loss of 1.5lb meaning that I have reached my challenge target :j
With regards to the cost of shopping, I don't think SW has made my bill go up significantly as we always tended to eat quite healthily, just too much and too many treats which have always been homemade. I never buy ready meals and always cook from scratch. I do find fruit expensive so tend to buy more veg and whatever fruit is on special offer. We don't eat a lot of meat and when we do it's normally a chicken which in true MSE fashion normally does us 3 different meals. Our biggest expense seems to be yoghurt as I have it for breakfast most days, plus one with my lunch and DH has one with his.
I keep meaning to do a few shops in Al*i to see if there is any difference, but at it's over the other side of town it means a special trip.
As I'm nearing my target I'm looking at ways to get fitter and how I can incorporate exercise into my routine. I can't do mornings as I already get up at 5.45 to arrive at work for 7.15. Tried to persuade DH that he needs to cook 2 evenings a week which would mean I could do it straight after work - that idea wasn't met with too much enthusiasm I can tell you! Maybe those will have to be slow cooker meal days??
Anyways, enough rambling, best show willing! Hope everyone has a good week0 -
SeeBee - I think it would be a good idea if you could get DH to cook a couple of meals during the week. I know you said he doesn't like the idea but, heaven forbid, what if you had to go into hospital or something, would he starve or just live on take aways? If he really won't do it then I think you're right about slow cooker meals being the way to go. Both DH and I love SC meals; me because I don't have to think about it too much:D and DH because it means he'll get plenty of gravy (he always moans I don't make enough!) Having said that I do all the cooking now but that is only because I am retired and he's still working but when we go away he always takes his turn with the cooking.
Having a Green day today:
B - LO plain couscous with mixed (frozen) black forest fruits with a little sweetner
L - bulgar wheat & chickpea salad (along the lines of the recipe in this month's magazine but didn't have any couscous left after making some yesterday)
D - bacon (HEB), eggs, SW chips & beans
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB2 - 2 Alpen Light bars
Syns: Fruit split lolly - 3
Have just totted up syns since WI on Thursday and have had 91 so far, so with todays that will be 94; leaving me with 11 for 2 days which would normally be OK but I have my sister visiting tomorrow and going to France on Wednesday so will definitely be going over 105 this week with the alcohol syns.

Good morning everyone and what another glorious day it is.. That's if it lasts.
So, Hurrah! At last I've lost 2lb now I just need 2lb to go to my 11 stone' unless I Yo yo back to 11. 5. Like I have been doing for the last 2 years.
I am trying to stay positive and no negative thoughts.
I can and I will. Just 2 off next week and. I will be on my way, then it will be trying to get to 10 stone. Fingers crossed.
Hope all you lovely people have losses too. :T:T0 -
good morning,
sneaking in for a quick read and post. Life has been hectic and sad. My SIL has been diagnosed with bladder cancer and Alzheimers and she has lost so much weight and looking frail.
We have had family staying over and my dishwasher broke etc etc. so needless to say SW has been a bit on a backburner. I have tried to be careful and have managed to STS Shala.
Not sure when the challenge ends.
Restarted properly again yesterday. I can't believe it is June already. Only 3 weeks until the end of term here in Scotland, unbelievable.
I have started with eggs and mushrooms and tinned tomatoes. Not sure what the rest of the day will be. I went to Asda for a big shop but realised I left my purse on the coffee table so had to drive home, so will have to do that later.
I have lots of housework to catch up on after the family stay, but I want to read back a few pages and see how you are all doing.
Have a good day everyone.0
