    Hi all :)
Maman, :D they're just little camis- my thermals have been firmly stored away until winter!! I wear them like shapewear to hold my excess skin in :D I'm actually a 14 but drop a size so they hold me in tighter. I can only wear proper shapewear on special occasions as it really hurts my back :(
Been to physio today and still aching! I was planning on a green day and being all virtuous but my back is too painful to stand and prepare my planned mushy pea curry so I'm going to have a 'real' curry instead! Small portion of lamb rogan josh and loads of boiled rice with some fresh fruit for pudding. It'll mean I've gone over my self imposed 7-syn limit as I had a cheese twist earlier but it'll only be 8.5 total which isn't too bad :)
Welcome to all the new joiners :) hugs to those who need them and well done on your losses everyone xx

Maman - Don't think Top Girl made a mackerel pate but it is made with a drained tin of mackerel in brine mixed with fromage frais. To my mind it's not a real pate as too creamy!

Hi Annie printed this recipe out and gave it to DH to prepare for tea. I argued with him that it contained Light Philly with Herbs and Garlic. Just had to eat a large piece of humble pie :o (hope it didn't contain too many syns). I could have sworn I had seen the Philly in it. He reckons I'm just getting withdrawal symptons from the lack of choccie. :rotfl:

The pasta dish was lovely btw. Made a nice change the fact it was garlic free - doesn't happen very often in our house.

Basic melba toast seems to be half a syn each. If you can give us a brand we can be more precise.

I must admit to being confused too. The recipe in the magazine does have syns because it's made with Philly whereas Annie's recipe uses Quark so I it's free. I'm going to try it with plain Philly Light (because it was on offer) Then I could use the Philly as a HEX and it would still be free.;)

Evening ladies. It's been a lovely day here for a change.

Well done all you clothes shoppers - enjoy your purchases. I'm sooooo jealous!

out of funds, sorry about your knee. My SW chips are not great either. Even with oven up at hottest, I need to leave them much longer and cut them quite thinly.

Hi, lantanna, glad to have you popping back in. :)

Hello, never too old. Pleased to meet you.

    Friday's Menu
Breakfast: apple, grapes, strawberries with Shape pineapple and coconut yogurt, half hexb toast with some hexa Laughing Cow light
Lunch (at Italian restaurant): quote from last night, "I'll try to avoid bread."
Starter - bruschetta (to be fair, I was avoiding the cream soup and I don't like mussels and bruschetta has vegetables on)
Main - sea bream, probably fried, roast potatoes, cauliflower in very, very thin tomato sauce
Dessert (I wasn't going to have this, but as I've said before, I'm a social rather than secret eater and my friend was having some soooo .....) - citrus cheescake, which was huge and delicious; the alternative was ice cream, rather dull don't you think?
BTW, joedenise, I didn't like the ML lemon cheesecake yogurt either.

Dinner tonight: was supposed to be bean chilli with rice (nice and syn free and all ready and waiting) but I had .............................................. ta da...................... nothing!
    Too stuffed.
Snacks: surprise, surprise - I've not had any! Oh no, I lie - I had some cherries!

If I have anything else today it will be selected from aforementioned bean chilli (no rice - OH ate it all), half hexb, some hexa, fruit.

I don't know how many syns I've consumed and therefore I don't know how many I have left until Tuesday's WI. And I'm out for lunch on Monday again. Oh dear.

i've been very good - bf left some of his chip shop tea and other than a tiny piece of sausage i haven't touched it (not very mse but it's in the bin!)

walked lots today and by the scales in the pharmacy i'm another 2lb down. not sure how close they are to the ones i usually use though so will weigh again at my parents tomorrow (didn't think i would be going down but i am). If they are right that puts me at almost 10lb down in 3 weeks - a fab chunk out of the 2st11lb i have to shift! Bf is away sunday - tuesday night so going for 3 days with 5 syns of less and minimum 1mile walk a day then the 4 days he's home i can be a tad more flexible.

Got some pasta boiling for my tea - i'm not actually that hungry but know i need to eat.

    Syns so far today:
    lunch: cous cous = 1
    snack: 2 mini sausage rolls = 6 / 1 mini chocolate = 2
    total: 9

Going to have my pasta with some tuna and baked beans plus a little cheese (from HeA) then will have some strawberries, cherries and a sliced pear to snack on seeing as bf is watching the football.

i have ordered a baking/cake decorating set from Groupon as a treat; i love baking but rarely eat it myself. the set comes with a cupcake stand I've been wanting for about 2.5 years (! nothing fancy just a pretty wire one) and a giant cupcake mould which I've been lusting after but refusing to buy. i've reasoned that now we have wonder bairn I'll be on the birthday cake/party cake/treat duty as I refuse to pay for some that you can buy! Plus i like the idea of doing tea and cake for teh 'grown ups' hehe
