Top Girl - hate to be the bearer of bad news but mackeral pate is synned - it's 4 syns for 25g - unless of course you've made your own with tinned mackeral (in brine) mixed with fromage frais.

It's Aldi smoked mackerel which I was told was free according to a group leader, has this changed?

    Good morning all
I have just joined sw, so today is my 2 nd day on the plan. I have read the books and obviously found you on here.. I'm desperate to do well this time as I have so much to loose. I have lost count of how many times I have lost the same 5 stone
I have been successful with slimming world before many years ago but am intrigued with this extra easy plan, can we really mix potatoes with protein:eek:and do you really loose weight doing it?
Another quick question does anyone fill a diary in on the app?
What do the different colours mean when you enter your food?
Tia for any help you can throw my way:D

Hi never too old and welcome.

Do you mean the green, red and orange colours, if so the green means a green day, red means a red day and orange is the extra easy.

No when you enter some foods it's black some orange, some red.:)

When I did sw many years ago you had red and green days can you really include pasta, potatoes etc on ee days?

so I've been today and bought 4 vests and 4 pairs of knickers. The knickers are a 16 but the vests are a 12 :j I've also bought some white jeans. I've always wanted a pair but always thought they wouldn't suit me. I'm becoming more adventurous :)

Only in Britain would someone need vests just as June starts! Great news about fitting size 12 MrsR.

I've got some white jeans, hopefully will be warm enough to wear them.

Would have SW chips but they never seem to turn out right think cooker is getting a bit over the hill.

I have more success with wedges than chips. I think it's to do with how hot the oven is. The problem is when I'm cooking something else with it that doesn't need a high temperature. Any tips anyone?

I can see Aldi peppered mackerel fillets are free but plain are 1 syn for 100g. How odd is that???

I don't use the app but I'm guessing it may be something to do with whether they're syns or free or superfree or whatever. Perhaps you could give us examples of what comes up each colour?

Yes and it is true that you can mix up protein and carbs. Downside is you have fewer healthy extras but it does really work!!

After my off plan day yesterday I'm not feeling very hungry. I've had beans on toast for breakfast and need to do a meal plan and think what I'll be eating for the rest of the day (week).

I don't know the Indian mackerel meg but Farmfoods and Iceland often sell Princes stuff. if I see any around I'll let you know.
