Does anyone eat melba toast? I noticed that they're just half a syn each. Might be a low syn alternative to crackers or something to munch with soup.[/QUOTE]
Maman - I used to buy the NUME melba toasts from Morrisons-you got six in a pack and about four packs in a box-and used to have them with low fat pate (NUME one too) and it would do as a lunch or snack (depending on how many as I lovvvve pate!)Debt free 2018

Hi all,
Sooooo busy I don't get time to reply but I do read all posts. Everyone is doing amazing whether losing, maintaining or having a glitch. Just remember the bigger picture:D
Taking in outlaws to Duxford tomorrow for a belated Xmas pressie. Will be packing up big picnic lunch for everyone. Just made big frittata for me, will make a rice salad and have bought fish sticks, ham and lots of fruit for me to take. Should keep me happy.
Have a great weekend x0 -
thanks maman and b_e_g not as bad as I was expecting
Trying to think of new sides bf will eat other than chips, rice, roast potatoes, salad and mixed veg to go along with his new health kick. I'm thinking boulangere potatoes (low syn recipe I have), we already have wedges sometimes (although I wish I could get them to cook/crisp up quicker) and he will eat mash but not too much of it...any body got any ideas?
The weather here is atrocious so I have no motivation to do anything of much substance
Will be weighing in on Monday at my parents...wondering if I'll see any loss with limited body magic since Thursday and not really hydrating enough..time will tell. as long as it's not a gain I'll be happy!************************************

It's this one meg. I substitute 3 tbsps of sweetener for the brown sugar and a couple of eating apples instead of cookers (but would use cookers later in the year). Reading it through I realise I forgot the cinnamon but no worries as it tastes fine. I used lazy garlic too. The butter isn't essential but I do sometimes put a few blobs of spread on the top. I'll make loads of portions (will count later) so I ignore any syns from the spread or cooking two apples! I prefer this recipe as it's fine in the oven so saves watching it on the hob. It would probably work in a slow cooker.

Melba toast is lovely and is on my plan for sometime next week

Had an encouraging morning. Firstly I went to Lidl to stock up on fruit & veg and they had a 1kg box of strawberries for £2.99, so guess what we'll be having lots of over the weekend
I then bought some wonderfit jeans, they came in sizes, S,M,L and I thought I would need a large but when I tried them on I got into the Medium.
I'd ordered a dress from M&S to be collected today, I'm looking for one for my son's award ceremony in June. I tried the dress on in store in case it needed to go back, well it did, but only because its too BigSo although I haven't lost much in weight recently and nothing's changed on the tape measure, something must be happening.

You can' t be far off target Helen.:)
lush, is it that BF will only eat a small range of veg and carbs or is he up for trying things? I've done Boulangere potatoes and I think mine were free. I remember a spicy patatas bravas recipe in the magazine a bit back and a mexican bake that's very similar (basically like boulangere but with tomatoes and paprika). Then there's varieties of rice. I particularly like Batchelor's Golden Rice. We're having noodles tonight with the Szechuan beef. I parboil my wedges for 5 minutes, cool them then put them in the oven for about 30 mins on about 220 ideally.0
