Beanie - you have a trike - how cool! Hope it doesn't cost you too much to repair..sarymclary wrote: »We had this last year, and the year before with a new neighbour who moved in. We complained to the council every time we were disturbed by them, and we even had listening equipment installed. It had got to a point where if they were in their garden, we couldn't bear to sit out in our's for the noise. Well it's all changed this year, neighbour and her children were out in their garden yesterday afternoon/evening having a BBQ, and you would never have known they were there. These were a proper 'Shameless' kind of family, screaming, shouting and swearing, etc. Just goes to show that they can change if they're put under the right kind of pressure from the right people.
Re. the secret eating. A successful slimmer once gave me a good bit of advice, never eat food when other family members have left the house (other than a scheduled on-plan meal), and always eat sitting down, making yourself mentally accountable for the meal. I hadn't realised that I often planned eating around the family being out of the home. Eating standing up in the kitchen, just grazing, or while I was sat watching TV, totally not taking in the fact I was eating. I do my best to try to eat consciously now. I suppose it's recognising triggers for eating, and that was one of mine. This is where SW is good for me, especially using the online food diary, because I have to log everything, and it also makes me check syn values before I eat, most of the time!
Well done to you losers!:T
It's awful when neighbours ruin it for everyone isn't it, we actually moved house 2 years ago because i couldn't stand the noise anymore - we had a dog over the back who constantly barked all day and night, the neighbours we were joined to screaming at each other every day and the other side had hot tub parties every weekend... :rotfl:
When i look back, I'm actually grateful that the only noise we have now is the kids over the back...
Thanks for the advice on secret eating - i really think i need to consciously think about what i'm eating and trying to be more healthy with exerise..
Welcome Sooty

Lushlifesaver - how olds your little one?
Keeping her cool today has consisted of plonking her in her old baby bath in the shade
Mines 25 monthsmost annoying question I get at sw is was I thin before I had her
erm no I've always been fat
Hi Mildredd, little one is only 7.5wks (8 on Wednesday!) so she is still very new :-) I did SW from July 2012- February 2013 and lost almost 5st going from a size 16/18 to a size 8 (most places, a 10 in others/some styles) I did really well staying at target until I started getting my baby bump at about 25wks then I gained this awful amount of baby weight but I don't want to just sit back and live with it. Just tried my only pair of shorts on and I need to lose about a St for them to fit properly and look OK.
I have another 2st to lose to be back at target and 2st 3lb to to shift to be back where I was when I got pregnant. Won't be too bad if I can have another couple of good weeks like last week I know I can't expect a 6lb loss every week but if I can hit 3/4lb per week I'll be chuffed, I've said I'll give myself until our holiday in September to lose it all but any quicker will be appreciated especially in this amazing weather so that I don't have to buy any new clothes! (Cost atm I need at least a pair of shorts and a casual skirt!)************************************

I've just spent over an hour reading all the posts since Friday afternoon when I went away for the weekend.
The only meals on plan at the weekend were breakfasts - SW fry up cooked on the Cadac by DH!
It was so hot we just had BBQ'd burgers and sausages (1/2 syn each from local butcher) but white baps/finger rolls.
Had lots of wine syns and have already gone over syns for the week so have drawn a line and am back on plan today to try to limit the damage!
Having an EE day:
B - mushroom omlette
L - steak & salad with FF dressing
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roasted peppers and onions, brocolli.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - Ryvitas this evening

Princes corned beef is coming up as 3.5syns for 100g or 2 syns if it's lean. So I'd stick with the higher value as corned beef is rarely really lean. It's surprisingly low syn isn't it?0
