Another syn query, I bought Liberte 0% fat free natural greek yogurt, its syn free right?
Its sooooo nice, you must all try it :-)
I haven't seen Liberte yoghurts on my travels MrsE - can I ask who sells them please?I used two red onions, three tablespoons of water, two tablespoons of sweetener and three tablespoons of balsamic vinegar. Heated a saucepan with a little frylight, fried the onion on its own for a couple of minutes then put everything else in. Cooked over a low heat for about half an hour. No idea how long it keeps- last time I only used on onion and I used it all over two days
These sound quite delicious. Will have to remember this for through the week. Can I ask what you have with them?
Sorry I cannot remember who mentioned the Skinny Cappucino Frappacino originally - but I would just like to say a big THANK YOU. Tried it this afternoon with my friend (another SWer) and it was delicious. It tasted almost 'naughty'
Hubby made us the Speedy Jambalaya for tea but used large prawns instead of chicken and it was quite tasty too and even better as it was free on EE. :j
Planning on trying the Cola Chicken during the week.

I had chopped fruit, it was really lovely greek yogurt, felt like I was on holiday in greece or turkey. I got it in tesco for £1-50 for a huge pot.
Did you just eat the cappucino yogurts (I must try those!) Or dilute them down?0 -

I've had them as a side for steak, stirred into mash and I've added some to the veg couscous I've made for tomorrow's lunch. They're so nice in the mash!

I can see me having to have a trip to Mr. T's soon.
We took one pot of the cappucino yoghurt, 100mls of ss milk (2.5 syns) and ice cubes. Blend until ice has disappeared and it is all frothy. Enjoy

Oh dear beanie - hope the repairs aren't too expensive.
Have only used the Olive Oil and Buttery FryLight so cannot comment on the garlic one. Think I would maybe rather just add garlic to recipe as and when it was needed.

I was 21 stone 3 libs and I'm now 18 stone 6. I'm 5 foot 6 and 29 years old. I'm struggling to get down from 30 - 40 syns a day. I've got a right sweet tooth and my typical food budget for our family (me, partner, 8 year old son and 1 year old son) is £40. If I start spending more I wont be able to afford my car insurance due next month.0

Yay! Congratulations - onwards and downwards.piggybankrupt wrote: »Thanks Mrs Ryan! I absolutely love carbonara & can't believe I can have it on plan! Will give it a go - sounds simple enough! How many triangles do I need for one portion?
I make up my own carbonara recipe, that is enough to feed approx. 4/5 of us. I cook through some sliced leeks (frozen are ideal and cheap) and mushrooms with garlic. Once soft, I add a tub of quark, use about 1 tbsp of light philly with chives, or the garlic & herb (syn or use from HeA), and I also put in a couple of blue cheese Laughing Cow triangles (syn or use HeA). While I'm making that on the stove, I grill some smoked bacon, cut that into small pieces, and put it in at the end. All my children love this, and even my OH who tends to only like meaty pasta sauces will eat this. If you have to syn it, it works out very low. I also like that it takes about 20 minutes from start to finish to do the sauce, grill the bacon and boil water and pasta.Well it's a beautiful day here and we've been sat out in the garden eating fresh pineapple and enjoying the sun, however, the noisy kids over the back have just come out so I've come in... I know I sound like a misery but they just shout (scream) each others names constantly and then the parents join in to tell them offit's get a tad tiresome..

We had this last year, and the year before with a new neighbour who moved in. We complained to the council every time we were disturbed by them, and we even had listening equipment installed. It had got to a point where if they were in their garden, we couldn't bear to sit out in our's for the noise. Well it's all changed this year, neighbour and her children were out in their garden yesterday afternoon/evening having a BBQ, and you would never have known they were there. These were a proper 'Shameless' kind of family, screaming, shouting and swearing, etc. Just goes to show that they can change if they're put under the right kind of pressure from the right people.
Well it's been a working weekend in part for me, although the event I did was really quiet, so sales weren't fabHey ho. I was quite busy during the whole day, nonetheless, and as a result ate very little, so by the evening when I came home I was shattered, and starving. Spent most of my takings feeding the family, as I hadn't the energy to feed everyone.
Food Plan yesterday : EE
B - Danio yogurt (1.5), banana
L - HM sandwich HeB + 4 syns, with ham/lettuce/cucumber/onions/peppers
D - Cod & chips 17.5 syns
HeA - milk in tea/coffee
Total syns : 23 Could have been a lot worse I suppose, and at least it was all I ate for the day
Food Plan today : EE
B - Danio yogurt (1), banana, satsuma (which I dramatically choked on, and the family thought I was going to die! I do this regularly, taking in a big lump of air, and then cannot breathe. No idea why I do it?)
L - Bacon sandwich, HeB + 4 syns, ketchup 1 syn
snack - Mcflurry this is where it all went wrong AGAIN! 18.5 syns
D - Burger, SW garlic & herb potato chunks, mixed salad. ketchup 1 syn
supper - strawberries, emlea light cream 2 syns
Total syns = 26
HeA - milk in teas
The garlic and herb potato chunks were delicious, and the rest of the family really enjoyed them too. They'll be a regular feature methinks in the future, and I could even prep them ahead of time, and put in a bag in the fridge lightly oiled and seasoned. I had some left over today, and have frozen them uncooked for future use.
So an absolute disaster when it come so to syns this weekend, and fully deserving of a gain at WI tomorrow.
Will start afresh from tomorrow, plan meals ahead and aim to up my superfrees. I can only be better.
Have really loved this spell of warm weather over the weekend, and hope it's a sign of a great summer to come. I also think it encourages me - usually- to eat more fruit and salad stuff.
Re. the secret eating. A successful slimmer once gave me a good bit of advice, never eat food when other family members have left the house (other than a scheduled on-plan meal), and always eat sitting down, making yourself mentally accountable for the meal. I hadn't realised that I often planned eating around the family being out of the home. Eating standing up in the kitchen, just grazing, or while I was sat watching TV, totally not taking in the fact I was eating. I do my best to try to eat consciously now. I suppose it's recognising triggers for eating, and that was one of mine. This is where SW is good for me, especially using the online food diary, because I have to log everything, and it also makes me check syn values before I eat, most of the time!
Well done to you losers!:TOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
