Glad you had a super weekend Beanie. It's Day 1 again for me tomorrow, how about you join me?

Can you find the brakes you need online, such as on ebay, and then get a kind person to fit them for you? Trying to think of how you can limit the costs.

I start the job on the 3rd June, so a couple of weeks to go, and then I'll be earning a 'proper' living again! Can't wait!! (remind me of that in a few months time if I start to moan).
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

wouldn't have thought to use the coconut yoghurt in the korma - sounds like a great idea.

    Good luck for tomorrow's wi.

    Hi
I'm contemplating starting slimming world and someone has lent me a slimming world pack to look at.
I've made a curry for tomorrow night. It's turkey leg meat, veg, can chickpeas + jar pataks tikka masala sauce. I can cope with everything else but how do I allow for the curry sauce ? I can't see anything in what I have to count it.
    Thanks

I'm here - barely holding on to the wagon?
Been a very mixed week to be honest
    Mon/tues I was good
Weds - I was possibly just over syns but I had some wriggle room from good mon/ties
Thursday - disaster day - a&e trip with mini me lead to me feeling half demented and choc and biscuits just kept falling in my hand
Friday - I tried to claw it back a bit
Sat - it was too hot to cook (lazy!) mr Chinese came and brought his friend mr cherry cider (can't find a syn value so ill count it as sf and free)
Sunday - me pizza came to play with me Doritos :/
Along with numerous biscuits this week :/ don't even feel the biscuit love normally!!!

I actually don't know what's wrong with me I need to have a massive head wobble and get on it!!!

I have ordered a dress - thank you for all your suggestions
    http://m.newlook.com/application/product/view?cat=310771449
It should be here tomorrow to try on and take back
Had to order 2 sizes as I don't know what size ill be :/

I'm in the secret eaters club!!! I literally wait til I'm alone and have a little challenge see what I can eat and then conceal the evidence of :/ I have issues what can I say I'm aware it's wrong and I had curbed it but since coming out of hospital I'm like a ninja sneaking biscuits :/

In a non sw story - I have a stitch coming out of one of my incision sites! And in a comedy manner I can pull it and the skin with tweezers a good 2 inches away :/ my stomach is major flab central
Only I could have a surgery where incisions are held together by glue to have a stitch make a break for freedom

Tomorrow I will be drawing a line. I have decided I we get back to it
105 syns no more no less to use as and when my heart desires on what I want what I really want. No guilt no shame.
Back on it. Tomorrow is day 1 x

Ps this week of being. bad and snaffling has dragged majorly

Pps - I'm debating starting a # campaign to have sw consultants display there weeks gain/loss/maintain - its starting to grate on me people's consultants blatantly not following the plan :/

Sounds like the weather has been kind to all and encouraged us all to start digging out the 'summer food' :-)

Feel like I got nothing done today other than keeping the bairn cool but actually I achieved all bar three of the jobs I need done by the time bf gets back on Thursday! I have a driving lesson at 11am tomorrow so dad is coming up to watch bairn which means I can power through a few jobs - he has said he will cut our grass for us (once I'm back from my lesson) which is awesome and I will get the cot skirt hemmed on all four sides and all the clean clothes away and our bed stripped then I'm off back to theirs for a couple of nights and this time food is my thing I have decided.

Anyhoo; menu for tomorrow - I always work much better when I plan ahead
Breakfast : weetabix HeB and milk from HeA
    Snack: fresh fruit chunks
    Lunch: fish stick salad
Tea: fancying a salad or light pasta dish of some creation I think

Syns: none planned yet so I have them all to play with for my evening meal
    Drinks: NAS squash

Should be a good day I think, just need to settled on a plan for tea that everyone will be happy with :-) Tuesday we are supposed to go out for a trip somewhere for mums birthday and I will pack a crazy amazing picnic (I am the picnic princess) to save both money and syns ;)

mildredd I love that dress! I've been eyeing it up but having been pregnant and more eimoortantly not having had an occasion to wear it for I have gone without. You are sure to look, and I hope feel, amazing in it :-)

sooty&sweep the jar of sauce will have a syn value, you can roughly estimate it based on 20 kcal = 1syn so work it out for the jar then divided by the number of portions you made/ate. I'm sure someone with access to the syns online area will be able to help with the precise value for the sauce you used (or you can search online and usually get an idea - just watch the age of the responses a search engine kicks up as recipes etc may have changed and therefore syn values may have too)

lkmc01 welcome to the thread :-). Hope you find it helpful round here :-)

Great weekend though totally totally off plan.
Great lunch yesterday & fabarooni 21st last night.
My problem is always that I find it sooo hard to get back on plan.
My trike needs new brake pads
Hate to think how many pennies that will be

    Any thought on garlic frylight.
    Cant say I liked it.
Oh dear beanie - hope the repairs aren't too expensive.

Have only used the Olive Oil and Buttery FryLight so cannot comment on the garlic one. Think I would maybe rather just add garlic to recipe as and when it was needed.

I'd agree with beg and go for just using garlic if I wanted it. I once bought the stir fry Frylight and it was horrible ended up binning it against all my mse principles.:o

Hate to tell you but a jar of Patak's is 21 syns for a 450g jar or 26.5 for 500g. Obviously, depending on how many portions you get from it then all the syns won't be down to you. When you get into the plan you'll be able to make curry using spices/curry powder and tomatoes or whatever. Generally speaking, jars of ready made sauces are a waste of syns IMO.

As a tip for any recipes with fried onions, I always microwave mine with a splash of water first. It really cuts down on the frying time.

That carbonara sounds lush sary. On the secret eating, I noticed on the TV programme of the same name that loads of them sit in front of the tv stuffing their faces.

I'm really looking forward to getting back on the wagon tomorrow mildredd. Keep me a seat.:)

The dress looks really glamorous. I think you're right to go for a maxi. Let us know how it feels when you try it on.

I agree about the consultants. Mine has just has her FOURTH :eek:maternity leave and she definitely believes in eating for (at least) two while she's at it! Then she almost boasts about how she and cooking don't get on.

Good luck with taking over the cooking tomorrow lush, sounds like you'll need sharp elbows to get past your dad.;)

The garlic fry light - I tried on chips was too strong?
I use it when I'm making a spag Bol now - just cook onions and meat in that instead of doing fresh garlic - no stinky hands ;)

Lushlifesaver - how olds your little one?
Keeping her cool today has consisted of plonking her in her old baby bath in the shade :)
Mines 25 months :( most annoying question I get at sw is was I thin before I had her :/ erm no I've always been fat :/

I hope the dress looks alright - if it doesn't my back up plan is a £80 one by lipsy with a biiiiiig split up the side
I'm hoping it looks okay anyway - have silver heels for day - silver sandal flats for the night - and my bag will be my ever so beautiful bababing change bag ;)

Mama - you can sit near me long as you promise not to let me fall off again ;)

Consultants I don't know I just think I know they weigh in but their happy to say tut tut tut 105 syns but they never reveal what they've done that week? Even if its just they weigh in once a week and display it for that week?! I dont even care if their at target as let's face it there's no rule of Bmi etc to call target just it can't be an underweight weight? So they can be overweight n be at target but some are taking the pee?? Sw is so easy to follow they spout then blatantly aren't following it?

I made the sw onion gravy this week was very yummy and lovely :) going to have it again this week I think :)
