Just had a lovely salad and wanted to share a find I got in 99p shop
Jar of Mussel salad which I believe is syn free, its crammed full of tiny little mussels with bits of crispy onion, gerkins, red pepper and celery in vinger. Its delish, if you like mussels that is, I know its not everyones taste. I love them and in the interest of keeping the budget down I only used a third of a jar and there was heaps.but if you ate the whole jar would only be 200 calories.

Going back to stock up on these.

    Hello hello hello!
Been AWOL for a week as have had an absolutely manic week. Monday night went out to dinner with a friend who I haven't seen in 6 years and had a lovely catch up. Went after weigh in and went totally off plan- had wine, garlic bread, burger and chips and carrot cake :o enjoyed every mouthful though :o Tuesday I went to Milton Keynes for the OU Student Council lunch where I consumed cake and buffet food :o Wednesday and Thursday were spent shopping so out of house all day and Friday I was at college. Phew! Tried to be good yesterday and have been very good today- going to try going on the exercise bike in a bit. It's too hot to go walking!

    Today's menu:
B: HEXB Alpen light cherry Bakewell bars x 2 (70 cals) 2x bananas, NAS Ribena
L: Sweet beetroot salad with ham, bowl of Uncle Ben's Golden Vegetable rice (2.5 syns) mango chunks, NAS Ribena
T: SW carbonara made with HEXA Laughing Cow and frozen peas, frozen baby corn on the cob, Iceland popping candy ice lolly (3.5 syns) Diet Coke
Couple of Becks Blues in the pub (5 syns)
    S: MugShot and 2 apples
    Syns: 10
Aiming for half an hour on the bike
    Hope everyone's ok x

Lush - brilliant loss for your first week :T

gbatey - best wishes to you and your mom, glad you enjoyed your run. Hope it gives you some "me" time.. x

I do that too Shala. This house isn't often empty but when it is it's like a green light to stuff as much in as possible. No idea why!!

I absolutely do that :( No idea why, it's like a race to have things before he gets back - or mainly at work for lunch. I suppose if I'm going to analyse myself it's because I'm embarrassed about having junk when I know I shouldn't and don't want him to see! Something I hope SW helps with.
I'm glad i'm not the only one then! :D

I have no idea why I do it because I don't feel embarrassed about eating junk in front of him, we usually egg each other on as it were to have junk food :rotfl: maybe I just don't like sharing :o :rotfl:

So hot been gardening and absolutely craving an icecream cant find one that wont take me over the limit
    googled and found this

    Syn Free Ice Cream
    Syn Free Ice Cream
Used a receipe from here but thought I'd post again with a picture as its hot and definately worth a go....was delicious biggrin.gif

    004-2-1.jpg

    3 Eggs Separated
    6-8 level Tbsp Splenda
A few drops of Vanilla Extract
350g Virtually Fat Free Fromage Frais

Whisk whites till stiff then fold in splenda with a metal spoon.
Beat yolks and add vanilla, add to egg white and then fold in fromage frais.
Pour into a ice cream churn until mr whippy set or you can place in a freezer remembering to stir so the ice crystals don't set.but googling I found this

Got to be worth a go I thinki.

    Hello

Can I join you lovely people?

I want to lose 5 stone and have started following SW today from the books I got last year? Have a bit of a phobia about the classes so just grabbed & ran & trying to do it on my own with your help hopefully!

How do you make Carbonara with Laughing cow? Sounds right up my street!

Have been good today so far but any comments on my menu gratefully received! Have got to do it this time & starting by taking one meal at a time - if I mess up then it's on to the next meal hopefully better rather than licence to give up for a week as I would normally do!

    EE today

B - 35g Branflakes with banana chopped in HEXB with S.S.milk HEXA

L - Scrambled egg, bacon, tomatoes & mushrooms

    S - 2 satsumas

    D - Beef & mushrooms from Chinese 4.5 Boiled rice, chips 7

    Syns = 11.5
Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

Hi Piggybankrupt- for the carbonara you make pasta, then drain it and while it's still hot, mix the Laughing Cow in with it. I use the light blue cheese flavour as it tastes nicer :) I also mixed cooked frozen peas in but you can add ham or lean bacon too :)

    Hello

I am going to start posting my menu on here each day again, as I feel like I am losing control.

Just had the SW style KFC chicken from the fakeaway book and I didn't like it. I don't really like tomato though, so not sure why I thought I might like em!! I will stick to the smash covered chicken.

I will be back in the morning to post my menu :D

    I hope everyone is ok
