Same here.
My life is so exciting.
Was just saying to DS that sometimes I feel a wee tad lonely
He did say I have him but as he is at uni I hardly see him:rotfl:

chipdog I managed to gain 3lbs for my first weigh in!! :embarasse I then maintained for a further two weeks before losing just one measly pound and I had religiously stuck to plan.:o The week before starting SW, I did a strict high protein diet, in which I lost 10bs in 7 days so I think the gain was my body's way of rebelling against all the sudden changes of diet. Since then, I've lost at least 1lb every week so don't be too if you do have a disappointing start, youwill lose weight if you persevere.:)
Today's EE day:
Breakfast - Banana, Mullerlight
Lunch - Roast beef, new potatoes, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, gravy (2 syns), grapes
Tea - Crabsticks, cottage cheese, 40g reduced fat cheddar (HEA), salad, apple
Supper - 2 Alpen Light bars (HEB), Highlights (2 syns)0 -
Has anyone else heard that if you have less than a stone to loose that you should only have 10 syns
Nearly fell off my chair at group the other night when it was mentioned.
I haven't heard precisely that but, like I was saying earlier, if there's anything you can tighten up on then it helps you get over that final hurdle. So cutting back a bit on syns might be something that could be tried. I took an age to lose the last few pounds before reaching target. I could have tightened up (been more careful with measuring, tried Success Express, binged on SSs etc.) but instead just took a leaf out of your book beanie and plodded on.:)0 -
Morning all, hope you are well on this lovely, sunny Monday morning
I haven't been around much, tending to skim read posts when I have a spare 5 minutes, so I hope you are all well.
Good weigh in this morning with a loss of 2 1/2lb. Really pleased with that as we were out and about most of the weekend and there were vodka syns involvedIt also takes me down into the 12 stone range (just) and means I've now lost 3 stone :j
Hope you all have a good week, will try to get on a bit more if I can0 -

Chicken and Mushroom Medley
Ingredients
8 skinless chicken drumsticks or 4 chicken breasts
1 onion, finely chopped
2 sticks celery, finely chopped
275g button mushrooms, sliced
1.2 litres chicken stock
1 tbsp tomato puree
Thyme and parsley
Salt and pepper
Fry Light
Method
Place the onion, celery, mushrooms, chicken stock, and tomato pur!e in a saucepan and bring to the boil then simmer for 10 minutes.
Spray a little Fry light into a frying pan and brown the chicken portions for 5 minutes, turning to ensure they are evenly browned.
Transfer to a slow-cooker and pour over the contents of the saucepan. Season well with salt and pepper and add the thyme. Turn the crock pot to high, cover and leave for 5 hours.
Just before serving, stir in the parsley. Enjoy with potatoes and your favourite vegetables.
I didn't do it in a slow-cooker, just simmered in a saucepan until everything was cooked and the liquid reduced and thickened.
sounds lovely jeanie.
Great result SeeBee :T

Here I am again not a lousy pound have I lost I've stayed the same.
How can some of you lose like you do I don't know. There is something wrong somewhere. I keep getting to 11 stone and then in the blink of an eye I am back to 11 stone 2 1b. This has gone on for two years and in this time I have just lost about 51b.
How can someone stuff themselves and lose? I am at a loss. I know I 'm not always accurate , but, when I read what some of you eat and drink and you still lose, It doesn't seem fair to me. I think, well, I can be a bit slap happy, but, it doesn't work for me. So, this week I shall be extra careful I will NOT. Be slap happy I will follow my menu to the letter.
There is one thing I can console myself with,is that I have not actually gained, and my blood sugar etc is perfect. The doctor said that my diet must be good, everything about my diabetes is excellent. So, I am happy with that. I suppose you can't have everything. Good luck to all of you, and please keep your eyes on me. Thanks.0 -
I joined SW yesterday I have been counting calories, I am really worried that I am going to put on weight with all this free food. Did anyone gain on their first weight in? I need to lose every week to keep me going, when I'm good I'm very good and stick to it to the letter, but don't want to gain
As LLS says SW give a guarantee that you will lose weight during your first 4 weeks of doing the plan but you need to hand in your food diary every week for your Consultant to look at and comment on.
I have seen the occasional person put on a little weight in their first week but it's more usually people who have been doing the very low calorie type diets (ie something like the ones with soups and milkshakes!) but I've never seen anyone NOT lose over the 4 week period and I have been going to SW for 4 years, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Ended up under syns at the weekend, even with DH's birthday Friday, France on Saturday and helping DD1 with sorting out loads of bags of paperwork which here ex DH had shoved into the shed (which was his idea of tidying up when DD was at work!). Took us hours but we did find the log book for her car which was what we were looking for:T.
Probably had about 50 syns over the 3 days (which is less than usual):A; although it probably helped that we ended up only having a few pieces of sushi for dinner on the ferry coming home as we were stuck 3 miles off shore waiting for a berth for over an hour so were much later than expected getting home. Glad we ate a full meal at lunchtime.
Getting completely back on plan today. Going for an EE day:
B - bacon, egg, mushrooms;
L - scrambled eggs on toast; fresh fruit - selection of grapes, chopped banana & strawberries
D - roast pheasant, roast potatoes, roasted veg, brocolli; a little gravy (1 syn as I only have a spoonful)
May have a Mullerlight & banana during the day if feeling peckish but looking at that lot dont think I'm likely too! Will probably have a fruit split this evening.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day as usual
HEB - 2 slices toast
Syns - gravy - 1; fruit split lolly 3

Oh dear wiz, I had so hoped you'd lose this week:(. Maybe now you're trying really hard with your SFs it'll help. I do admire your determination. Good that your GP is pleased with you. Are you taking any medication that could prevent weightloss?
I thought of you at the weekend when the ferries were held up denise. Hope DH enjoyed his birthday.Good for you coming in under syns for the weekend.
I'm strictly back on plan today. My EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk
L: cold pork, fried veg, pickled onionsbaked cod, new potatoes, cauli and broccoli cheese
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, cheese sauce0 -
Morning everyone
Second week back on plan and I'm expecting a gain on Tuesday night:eek: Pasta dinner on Friday night wasn't too bad and I counted all syns, probably over estimated a wee bit to be on the safe side. Saturday saw me at an impromptu bbq! I'm burying my head on this one. Everything I consumed has been written down but just:eek::eek::eek:
And it doesn't end there. Tonight I'm off for an Indian with my boys. DS1 is home on a flying visit before he sits his finals and DS2 has his last exam this afternoon. April was the third anniversary of their dad passing away so a wee night out with happy memories.
I was planning on having chicken tikka with boiled rice and salad. Leave sauce and naan bread, pakora etc alone. Is this the best option?
Todays food is
Breakfast - toast (hexb) with banana
Lunch - HUGE salad with ham, pickles. Pineapple and strawberries
Dinner - Indian
Only saw a few posts but at our group we are all told to have 10 syns a day, no matter how much weight you've to lose x0
