amberfinn53 - your menu looks more like a Green day than EE so dont worry too much about not having many SFs. The white bread you are allowed is Allisons High Fibre, 800g so only 1 slice as HEB, HTH.
Was going to have a Red day today but have changed it to Green as there is LO jambalaya for lunch (but no chicken left in it - gave that to DH in his lunch box).
B - 3 egg omlette with some cheese (part HEA1)
L - LO jambalaya (basically rice and veg now!)
D - Striploin steak (it's the next bit down from sirloin but tastier) HEB + 3, SW chips, roasted peppers, onions, courgettes, side salad. For dessert we've got strawberries, mini meringues & cream! I'll have 2 meringues (2) and 2 Tbs double cream (6)
HEB2 - Ryvita with cheese (rest of HEA1)
HEA2 - milk in tea throughout the day
Syns - steak (3) 2 glasses of red to celebrate DH's birthday (12) 2 meringues (2) cream (6) = 23
We're off to France for the day tomorrow for a meal out (for DH's birthday) and to top up the wine store as it's beginning to get quite low :rotfl:. So glad we don't live far from the port so can pop over quite easily for the day.
I think tomorrow will definitely be a Flexiday as no idea what I'll be eating!

Hi everyone
I've been lurking here for ages but as I joined a group on Wed night I thought I'd join in here too!
I have done SW before a few years ago and did really well, but then life, chocolate and vodka conspired against me! I'd like to lost 5st now so I'll be here a while.
Yesterday:
Breakfast muller light Greek coconut 1/2, banana
Lunch 3 sesame ryvita HEB mini Philadelphia light tub 1/2HEA
Dinner salmon and pea risotto (frylight) with rocket, mushrooms and tomatoes. Strawberries after.
2.5 syns for syrup in my latte (rest of HEA), 2 Jaffa cakes (4) and a 2 finger kitkat 5.5
So 12.5 syns for the day
I was starving after lunch though, so I've added some ham and a tomato today! I don't get red/green yet so I'm doing EE.0 -
Morning all,3 lbs off.
Whoo! fab loss Beanie, hope you're feeling a bit better now.Was really surprised at my group last night - I lost 3 Ib :-)
Took a lot more info in this week and have a clearer idea of what I need to do.
So amazed I lost at all.
See, SW really does work! Great loss, and hope you have an excellent second week. Any questions in the meantime, just pop on here to ask and we'll do our best to help.
amberfinn - hope mum's op went smoothly, and she is feeling okay. Going to/from hospital is a pain, and the disruption to your daily routine can affect your food plan. Well done for getting back on it.
p.s. The Allinson high fibre white bread is delicious! I wouldn't be surprised if the Great White Kingsmill loaf doesn't make it onto the HeB list soon too (unless they don't sponsor SW, so purposely get left off - cynic that I am) as the fibre, calorie, etc. content is practically identical, and it actually has more fibre than a slice of the Kingsmill wholemeal loaf, which we're allowed as a HeB.
Yesterday I was busy baking most of the day, and then when I did sit down to have a mooch on the laptop, I managed to cut through the laptop power cable with the underneath of our reclining sofa - almost turned it into my very own 'old sparky'! <- Never was a smiley more appropriate!! That could have been a hair-raising and electrifying experience, so thank goodness for a modern electric circuit in our house.
Yesterday's plan was : EE
B - Total 0% split-pot yogurt (lush!)(2) banana, apple, kiwi
Snack - chicken
L - Apricot wheats HeB + (2) syns, milk from HeA
D - Coriander & Lime Chicken (2), green beans, carrots, peas, mash, gravy (1.5), yorkshire pud (4.5)
Snacks - midget gems (3)
Total syns = 15
The roast chicken was one of those cook in the bag ones from Asda, and the whole family said how delicious it was. I've got another one with sage & onion stuffing in the freezer. Worth the £4 I paid for it, and it provided a generous portion of meat for a family of 5, and I could have stretched it to 6 people if necessary.
Today's plan, I'm not too sure what to have, but I'll need to have an early dinner tonight, as I'm off out to the cinema with the girls. No popcorn or snacks there, and will just have a diet coke when I get there.
May have to come back and tweak this later but for now, I'll say today's plan will be : Green
B - Danio yogurt (1), banana, apple, satsuma
L - Apricot wheats HeB1&2, milk from HeA
D - Baked potato, cheese HeA2, mixed salad: lettuce, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions. LF Salad cream/dressing (2)
A nice low syn day, which will be perfect as we go into the weekend. Off out tomorrow morning/lunchtime with OH, and we're going near the coast, so may spend the day there. If so, that will mean eating lunch out, so good idea to have some syns in the 'bank'.
Have a great day everyone, and TGIF!!:TOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Thanks guys.
I always do green as I'm a veggie, however my old consultant told me to try and incorporate as much super free into it too, has anyone else been told this? I mean it makes sense and has worked for me when applied, just wondering if anyone got given this advice?£0.00/£2014 saved!

Morning everyone
Still feeling rubbish. I'm usually quite a positive person but this current situation is getting me down. It involves a friend with a lot of issues. The main one being alcohol. I know I'm not being fully supportive as I just don't understand and think I could do with some support myself.
Anyhow, going to parents for dinner tonight and mum's announced she's making me my favourite dinner, pasta bake. I know she's trying to cheer me up and I don't have the heart to tell her that Homepride pasta sauce and a block of cheese on top is not going to help my weigh in on Tuesday:eek: So will need to cut syns drastically for the next few days.
Today's food EE -
Breakfast - 2 wholemeal toast (hexb) and banana
Lunch - wafer thin chicken, cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, bell pepper with gerkins and picked baby beetroot
Dinner - pasta bake (pasta and bacon are fine, will wait and see flavour of sauce then work out syns).
Thinking about it, would I be better to make this a red day? I could have pasta as my second hexb and some cheese as the second hexa?? Any help appreciated!!

I read somewhere that Great White is so that's the one I had, I had 60g of it which was two medium slices with about an inch lopped off the bottom of both. I was well under syns yesterday so won't be too much of a disaster if not but I might stick to alternate days til we know for sure
Today's EE day is as follows
B - Mushroom and red/yellow pepper omelette
D - SW quiche and super fart soup
T - Mushy pea curry and SW chips
Snack - Pineapple and kiwi chunks, batchelors delibox at 1.5, options for 2
HEXA - Milk/cheese
HEXB - pitta with curry maybe
Syns 3.5 so far
Body magic - 30 min run this afternoon if it stops rainingIf not, should be covered by the school runs anyway...

I completely agree with that. When I made my Freudian slip yesterday (saying all meals should be two thirds SF:eek:) it was because I'm so convinced that SFs are essential on all plans.
Glad to hear your mum's OP is behind her.
Welcome yemma. This is a good thread, plenty of encouragement, support, advice and a kick up the proverbial if you ask nicely!:)
I do a version of chicken jambalaya which is really tasty, easy one pot meal. What's your recipe denise?
Have a lovely time in France. We used to go regularly for a Saturday/Sunday trip when P&O sailed to Le Havre out of Portsmouth. It's a 5 hour trip but breakfast/drinks/dinner on the boat were all part of it. These days I have more time and tend to go for a few days when I can.
Where are you going to eat? (excuse nosiness:o).
I've had a SW breakfast but I'm off out to lunch (again;)). I'll probably go off plan (again;)) but I've worked out I've got more than 5 weeks before my holiday to lose 4lbs so I think I can risk it.0 -

You could have this as a Red day as long as the pasta is Wholemeal - you are allowed 110g cooked (35g dried).

Thanks Denise. No chance of the pasta being wholemeal! My parents are both nearing eighty, eat like sparrows but everything is high fat, sugar, salt. My plan is to fill up on fruit and yoghurt before I go so I won't demolish the dish and bring home any 'leftovers' for DS2, keep the oldies happy too:rotfl:0
