The ones around 70 cals like the Alpen lights used to be. Can the Aldi ones be used as a healthy extra B?
I know they used to be and looking at the info they have more fibre than the old Alpen lights so I bought a box and hoped they were.
Unless they have changed the recipe they used to be on the list & I can't see on the latest healthy extras section that they have been taken off, perhaps the website it playing up?? I would double check later on, I hope ours get them back in again, & they are on the list as I loved them, old Alpen lights & hi fi bars are expensive.:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

The way I look at it: You've had no meat so OK for Green and no meat to syn. You're allowed 2 HEBs (2Caramel Hifis is one and the other is Tesco Wheat Biscuits) for your HEAs you've had ss milk (250 ml allowed) and Blue Laughing Cows (4 allowed). I haven't checked your syns but I'm sure you're right as you eat them regularly.
All I'd query is whether the Tesco biscuits are a HEB. There's only 4 cereal bars showing up on the website today as HEBs but sary thinks the site might have a blip.
mim, Scan Bran are sort of crispbreads that they sell at group meetings and at Holland & Barrett. 5 count as a HEB and they have the advantage of being packed with fibre. The disadvantage is that many people say they're very difficult to eat a bit like swallowing cardboard! That's probably why you've seen so many references as people try to find ways of making them palatable.0 -
Just knocking up a mushy pea curry.
Top Boy was off school ill today so we are on no body magic at all, he seems much better now though, fingers crossed it was just a 24 hour thing so that he is all better by tomorrow AND I can get out to buy some of that white bread
B - Bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, HEXB toast
D - GT's recipe for SW quiche with 1/2 HEXA cheese, bacon, mushroom, red pepper, red onion and courgette in with a large mixed salad, apple, pear and walkers french fries
T - SW bolognese sauce on a baked potato
HEXA - Milk/cheese
HEXB - Bread
Syns - Options 2, Crisps 4.5
Tomorrow's meal plan is
B - Bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans
D - Same quiche with salad, pineapple and kiwi chunks and an apple
T - Mushy pea and cod curry with rice and a pitta.
HEXA - Milk/cheese
HEXB - Pitta
Syns - Options 2
Do I need more superfree with tea do you think or is the fact that the curry is roughly 1/3 tomatoes going to be enough considering I will have smashed them at dinner time, having had mushroom, courgette, red onion, red pepper, yellow pepper, tomato, cucumber, gherkin, pickled onion, beetroot and lettuce plus my fruit?0 -

The website is correct, these are the only cereal bars that are HEB nowOfficially debt free :j0 -
Mrs Ryan - Sorry but you need to syn one of your HiFi bars - salted caramel are only 1 for HEB not 2; think they are 6 syns each.
TopGirl - you seem to have enough SFs in your plan, so don't think you need to add extra veg.

I have been looking at the recipe thread and keep seeing references to Scan Bran, please can someone explain what this is and where I can find it. Thx
Scan Bran is a very high fibre crispbread. You can either buy it at SW or Holland and Barrett also sell it. I personally don't like it. If you eat it make sure you drink plenty of water. Lots of people use them to make cakes.
Hope that helps

Sorry just to clarify- I only had one HiFi, my stupid iPhone must have put it twice for some reason!! I know the salted caramels are 1 for a HEB. Hadn't noticed that- thanks! And also as well- Tesco wheat biscuits are basically Weetabix but Tesco's own brand. I note in the book it does say it's fine to substitute supermarket own brands of the same cereal- again I should probably use the generic brand name rather than what they actually are*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
